I went to Santorini for my solo trip to celebrate my birthday, and I was giving a gorgeous spacious room. Absolutely love the room. Staff where amazing ( both the lady ( she gave me a list of places to go visit and take nice pictures) and the night receptionist), housekeep amazing and lovely as well. Room looks luxurious and very clean. Mario was the driver who picked me from the airport on my arrival, thank you for also helping me during my stay and suggesting places to go, and eat. Thank you everyone for making my birthday week lovely. When I am visiting Santorini, this will be my number 1 hotel to stay. I'll definitely come back.

We loved our stay with Hotel Golden Star so much! This was our first summer holiday with our (nearly) 2 year old and we weren't sure what to expect, but the hotel was amazing and made it a really memorable time. The staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful. Without exception, they all stopped to chat to our son, making a big fuss of him. Nothing we requested was too much, always happy to give us recommendations or book things for us. The pool is beautiful, our toddler loved swimming in it every day and it was actually very quiet in May so we had the pool to ourselves sometimes. The room was sparkling clean and spacious. Great shower and lovely big balcony. We also found the location ideal for what we wanted, very near to the shops, restaurants and local buses. Would recommend this hotel to any family looking for a relaxed stay with a pool and helpful staff.

The only thing to bear in mind is that there isn't a kitchen, so they can provide drinks but not food. Rooms have a fridge so we just bought food from the local supermarket for breakfast. The pool area is escapable for an adventurous toddler, so we had to keep an eye, but that's nothing new when you have a small child anyway!

Airco was filthy and placed such that it blows in your face. Gave me a sore throat.

The hotel is very modern and clean.My hotel room was beautiful and tidy;the bed was very comfortable and big.The balcony gave us a amazing view during the night and day.The bathroom was very tidy and a good size.Room service was available every day and the cleaning staff always did such a wonderful job.Mario and Anastasia were especially helpful at showing us all the activities available and giving good restaurant recommendations.Finding good breakfast places was not a issue as the town centre is less than 3 minutes away,with a variety of options.The pool is very big and the water is very clean,there is a small jacuzzi too.The pool area is spacious and has comfortable pool chairs.Although it is very sunny there are big umbrellas by the chairs,which help bring in shade.

The day reception staff went above and beyond to help me with scheduling taxi's, researching flights, supplying us for our excursions, etc. Whatever I needed. All staff we encountered - night reception, maid, maintenance - were helpful and friendly. Pool was perfect temp, crystal clear and not overly chlorinated. The hotel had parking - which was amazing as we rented a car to get around the island. Room was lovely and very clean, but small and cramped with a queen and a single.

Front desk not staffed 24/7. Needed more lounge chairs at the pool. Had drinks (hot and cold, alcoholic and non) but no food on the premises, not even a vending machine.

So close to old town and it had a fabulous pool

This hotel is great value for money. Away from the overrated caldera hotels yet central and 10 mins walk to the caldera and shops/restaurants. The room I stayed in looks new and spotless. Modern amenities and the bed was very comfortable. Room really quiet at night which was a welcome change (in many ways) from my previous stay on the caldera side. The pool was an added bonus and never crowded. I wish I had booked a longer stay here. To top it all the front desk staff are so professional and went above and beyond! Thank you so much!

Lovely and decent sized pool with jacuzzi and lots of sunbeds and seating. Friendly and helpful hotel staff. The hotel and room were incredibly clean, the towels and bedding were changed every day. Great location, the hotel was a ten minute walk to the bus station and central Fira.

The bathroom door was not fitted to the door properly so there was not much privacy. Some of the fittings in the room were unfinished and looked messy e.g. wires sticking out.

The absolute best hotel we’ve stayed at during our Europe trip! Incredibly nice / helpful staff, immaculately clean rooms, tile floors, fantastic pool, and more. The location is great, just a hill’s walking distance to Fira shops. The balcony view overlooks the water as well. A+++++

Nice hotel that was good value for money, doesn't have the typical santorini views that people are maybe looking for, but, it's only a few minutes walk from them and it seems you get a better pool area than most because it's just off the main part. Very walkable to main part of fora for the views.

I probably should have done more research, I thought it was closer to the santorini views. But was only a short walk away.
