We loved our stay here. This hotel is luxurious, clean, and historic. Our room was huge and very comfortable, and we enjoyed the views from our balcony. From the moment we checked in, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay stay perfect. Whatever we needed, the staff was kind and helpful. The breakfast each morning was unbelievable! There was so much delicious food to choose from, delicious coffee and orange juice served to us at our table, and the service was just perfect. The pool on the fifth floor is somewhat small, but it was a treat to be able to swim after a hot day. Oh, and naturally the views from the pool and the restaurant are incredible.

The breakfast was mind-boggling - the largest selection I've ever seen. Parking was free and easy to get to (no long-distance walks). The rooftop pool was gorgeous (though very small - more for ambiance than anything). Our room was larger that we expected, plus we got luck with a top floor corner unit facing the harbor. WOW!!! The hotel was also very convenient to all the restaurants and shops downtown and we walked everywhere.

It got a little cold at night and and there were no blankets, so the only option was the lower the A/C quite a bit. Not really a big deal.

This is an extraordinary hotel in the center of the city of Heraklion. The staff was exceptional everywhere, the reception, the bar and restaurant, and the breakfast restaurant. Service extremely good. The rooms are ample and very comfortable. The food in the restaurant is very good, it's a nice place to eat with a beautiful view of the port. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. Incredible variety of food and superb quality. Walking distance to the port and the ferries to other islands, and to the city center and the pedestrian streets, and a couple of miles from the archeological site.

Previous reviews stated that the breakfast was exceptional and we must say those reviews are correct. I have traveled extensively and have never found such an outstanding breakfast at any hotel. Also, the room was equally exceptional with a wonderfully comfortable bed, beautiful appointments with truly luxurious details such as the exquisite headboard, extra large king size bed, etc. The entire hotel was elegant and far beyond our expectations. Plus, the price for this five star hotel was at a three star level. Truly outstanding accommodations and I highly recommend this hotel.

Double check with the front desk that your wake up call has been recorded; ours did not work and someone could miss a flight. The in-room instruction did not work.

We love this place….have stayed here 2 years in a row…..the location is great for day tripping and the beds and rooms are so comfortable. This place has by far the most WONDERFUL, Fantastic breakfasts in the world……it is overwhelming the amount of homemade choices and coffee is perfection. The star of the show is Irini who will show you to your table and make you feel like family! The staff is so accommodating…..the rooftop restaurant is awesome along with the rooftop pool. DONOT hesitate to book this place. You will not be disappointed.

Good location and old established hotel feel. Staff were lovely and efficient. Breakfast was amazing and dining area not packed in giving space rather than usual breakfast noisy , busy and packed environment.

Top floor pool area. A little small and crowded in contrast to the rest of the hotel. Waiter brought cold water to sunbathers but I was reading a book in the shade of an umbrella and he didn’t bring me anything same with cold towels. Night time chocolates and bed mats a bit unnecessary and old fashioned.

The hotel has a central location, breakfast is amazing (great variety of options, including vegetarian dishes), the staff was pleasant and welcoming, rooms are equipped with bathrobes and slippers, Korres cosmetics in addition. Sauna and steam bath were clean and could be occupied for 1 hr with 10 eur each. Besides, rooms have tea and coffee to make and a kettle, which ere stuffed every day. Overall, amusing experience, would recommend to stay here!

A swimming pool is really small, so if you choose a hotel to swim often and maybe with small kids, it wouldn't be suitable. I was there in December, the room was pretty cold. It's not recommended to use AC by the management but there's no option to avoid it.

This is a wonderful hotel with very caring and polite staff. It’s close to the port and a 10 minute walk to the bus station where you can catch the bus to Knossos as well as other parts of the island. It has a lap , rooftop pool with a bar and a restaurant. The breakfast is extremely generous, full of traditional Greek savories and sweets . Loved the decor in this historic hotel too. We had an executive sea view room which had a huge bed and had great views and was very comfortable. Loved it here !

They obviously have Greek/Cretan items, but they also have typical western European items, if you're so inclined. They also have a HUGE dessert/sweets selection that takes up two tables. They also add a personal touch to beverages; the coffee & tea are made fresh and the staff will bring it to your table. The orange juice appears to be freshly squeezed, as it actually tastes like real oranges. • The restaurant is also amazing; I recommend starting your meal with the Cretan Pork Apaki Bruschetta • Free 1L bottled water replenished daily

• Wi-Fi works intermittently; it stops working for a few seconds before starting up again • Bathroom has no ventilation and unpleasant odor; there is a drain on the floor, and the odors from the pipe escape through the drain opening.
