Modern, classy, clean and spacious room. Everything you need is provided in the room. Very heartwarming to receive a bottle of wine, nuts, snacks and sweets. Thanks Elena so kind in recommending us places to eat and how to get to Knossos by bus. Thanks Mary to let us try the homemade sweet wine which is so tasty I like it. The property is well situated within short walking distance about 12mins to town, 5mins to ferry terminal, public bus stop and the coach station just across the property. Nearby amenities like cafes and supermarket just within reach. Was my first visit to Crete and I love it. If I will to come back to Heraklion, will definitely like to stay at Lavris again ❣️

Mary on reception could not have been more friendly and helpful. She also makes a fabulous lemonade! The location was helpful as we arrived by bus, and it is directly behind the station. The bus stop to the town centre is opposite the hotel. The room was comfortable, clean, modern with nice touches (bottle of wine, nibbles) and a full fridge. An elevator was helpful too (many properties we stay at do not have, and as older travellers we prefer a lift to taking stairs loaded with luggage.) Comfortable bed with quality linen and towels.

Something the hotel cannot mend is the noise from outside. Being near the bus station and on a busy road it is unavoidable.

We were well treated in most of the places we stayed at in Greece, but Pension Lavris was the very best on all accounts: spacious and nice rooms, extremely hospitable and kind staff—the three of them we met, Dmitris, Mary, and Elena were beyond expectations, the truest experience of Greek "philothimos" we had during those weeks. The hotel is conveniently located near the ferry port and next to the KTEL bus station, right next to the bus line to Cnossos and close both to the Archaeological Museum and the Venetian Fortress. The more bustling and touristy city center is a short 7-8 minute uphill walk.

Perhaps the rooms could use light-blocking curtains, but aside from this the stay was PERFECT.

Everything about our stay in Lavris City Suites was excellent. We were contacted before arrival with helpful check in information. We were greeted by a very pleasant lady called Mary who gave us a delicious local drink on arrival. She showed us to our room and was very friendly and helpful. Our bedroom was just perfect with a comfy bed, aircon, fridge and coffee machine. There was also a complimentary bottle of wine, nuts, crisps and sweets in the room. The bathroom was decorated beautifully and had a hairdryer and toiletries provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel 100%

This place is more than awesome! The person at the front desk was beyond accommodating and quite frankly the best we’ve had in all of our travels. She walked us through everything and we had wine and little snacks in each room. The place is brand new and in perfect shape Nobody there at night but you can still contact if something comes up. Book this place as it’s so convenient to everything. To get to the fortress it’s about a ten minute walk, and the port is a 5 minute walk. Airport close and to get back you can take the bus that is a straight shot. Loved thins place and the girl at the front.

We were greeted by the hotel management upon arrival. There was ample parking for our rental car directly in front of the hotel, in reserved spaces. Our room was perfect, with modern design and furnishings, and we enjoyed our "welcome" gifts from the hotel-some snacks and a wonderful bottle of red wine. We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the ferry (a 5-minute walk), as we were traveling to our next destination on it. The bus station and bus stop for the bus to Knossos is across the street, and the Archeological Museum is just a block away. The old town section of the city is a few steps further on. There is a fried chicken take-out just a few doors down that made excellent food, and a supermarket next door for any needs (like another great bottle of wine...). The hotel management was very friendly and helpful, and although they left the property after 9:30pm, we were given a code to enter and go as we pleased, which worked quite well. I totally recommend this property and would gladly rebook upon return.

Polite and efficient response and confirmation of booking. An upgrade on our room. Wonderful warm welcome from Mary on arrival with a very delicious homemade geranium infused red wine, for which I want the recipe! Mary helped and escorted us to our room and ensured we knew all the workings of our room. Preordered breakfast arrived spot on 9am and was beyond amazing it’s many Cretan flavours. On departure we met Dimitri the owner who told us we could contact him if we needed any help at all whilst on the island and would also be very happy to offer suggestions on places to visit if we returned on another holiday. We had only to drop him a message. Overall very impressed. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back for another visit if we return to Crete.

The staff were extremely nice and helpful, reaching out on Whatsapp before arriving with all the details. The breakfast was served in the room, with a great variety to choose from. They would ask every day at what hour you would like to get your breakfast the next day. All possible things you could think of, even a very helpful luggage scale for when you stack up with gifts for family. Walking distance to Old City center about 10 minutes. You have about 3-4 restaurants and bars right near the location and a huge supermarket 2 min walking.

Mary was absolutely amazing. When we arrived she showed us to our room and thoroughly explained everything. She is a lovely person and was happy to tell us about the city, suggestions for things to see and a great dinner recommendation. The room itself was quite large, very clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. There was also a bottle of wine for us in our arrival, as well as "Grandmothers sweets" which were heavenly little slices of candied fruit. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The only downside was that it is located next to a busier road and the street traffic was a bit noisy at times. However with a pair of earplugs, it was better.
