The rooms and the hotel itself are very nice and the direct access to the beach is wonderful.

Unfortunately, we didn't find the staff very polite. They seemed stressed and unmotivated, so that you almost feel sorry that you are on holiday there. It is also far from 5 star service. It has a bit of an all-inclusive feel to it and we think for what you get it is far too overpriced. If the staff were at a 5 star level, the price would be justified. We might come back another time due to the nice beach and to see if the service improves.

The property is great, very well maintained, clean and tidy with exceptional fascilities.

The property itself is excellent, there is some staff who are rude, appear unhappy, most however are wonderful. German language appears dominant, due to most guests being German. Staff could be better in English

This was our 4th visit to this excellent hotel. Everything is as always at the highest level. The breakfasts are excellent, the staff is impeccable, cleanliness, comfort, entertainment program every evening, here we got everything we need for an unforgettable vacation. The hotel's territory is stunningly decorated, like a medieval city surrounded by a garden of Eden. There is clean sand on the beach, comfortable sun beds, beach towels can be changed daily to clean ones. At the exit of the hotel there is a street with shops and taverns where you can eat delicious food and have fun shopping. But the hotel is quiet, as it is separated from the street by a park. I sincerely recommend this hotel, and I would like to come here again with pleasure.

We expected much from our stay at Ikaros Beach, Luxury Resort but what we found exceeded those expectations. From the greeting to goodbye, the care that we were surrounded by the resort personnel made us feel comfortable despite the little shortcomings of any hotel or resort of this size. We were impressed by the gardens with flowers and palm trees, the architecture of the buildings with stone walls and timber, the general impression of a village with different perspective at each corner. As we got only breakfast included, we tried to dine in town, only to come back, as the choice from the five restaurants we had in the resort, and the quality was of no comparison. A very good appreciation for the Spa.

Not much to say, just a few suggestions: A Nespresso machine in the room would be a nice touch. At breakfast better to find a way to keep butter cold. Reservations on the computer for the restaurants in the evening does not work for those who are not in the all-inclusive list. We solved many other little problems with the help of the staff, so thank you again!

Beautiful location, right at the beach. There was a gym of decent size available which I used every day (could use some more equipment and machines). I liked that there was a bar/restaurant at the beach. Staff was very friendly, and the property very clean and well maintained. When I noticed there was no body lotion in my room and I told the staff, they reacted immediately and brought me some.

I am not a big fan of all inclusive resort. As I had booked this as a bed and breakfast, I felt a little uncomfortable when I noticed that it had this all inclusive character with many rather old couples. Also, I didn’t like the ‘big hall’ where everyone had breakfast. I was missing a nicer atmosphere. But eventually I liked the location, the staff (especially at the beach) was lovely, the whole property was kept very well and clean, and I loved my little terrace with sea view.

We (2 people) stayed at the Ikaros for one week in September 2024 and had a great stay. The resort met or exceeded our expectations in almost every regard. We spent most of our time at the beach and around the pool areas, it is a great place to relax and enjoy the sun. The staff was very friendly and also the SPA (where we booked a treatment) was excellent. There were things like an upgrade to a bigger room or a complimentary breakfast after giving feedback that really stood out and made us feel welcome.

The restaurants were great in terms of atmosphere, location and service, but the food was sometimes "only" good, not excellent, given the prices. It's complaining at a high niveau though. Just be aware that there are also excellent and inexpensive greek restaurants in walking distance around the ressort that are worth checking out.

The area of the hotel is fabulous! The cleaning staff is very polite and always smiling. Breakfast buffet was wonderful as always. We could choose comfortable pillows to sleep (very good option).

The first bungalow, that we got (724), was with 5 air conditioning blocks on our roof. The sound of working AC system was terrible and we couldn’t sleep (we come here our third time and this happened to us for the first time). After first night of our stay we got another bungalow (732), which was better and with isolated bathroom (thanks god, because we are family with two kids (10 and 14 years old) and interior of family deluxe bungalow is supposed to be with comfortable isolated shower, sink area etc.). The only one minus was in another bungalow: the common door between us and our neighbors in 731. We heard everything from their side, and they heard everything that we were talking about. All sounds were not loud, but we heard every word anyway. Please do think about the isolation.

The resort is very diverse, it has many options of restaurants, pools and fun places, the view is extraordinary and the pool is great. Everything is clean, neat and organized. In addition, the gym is at a high level.

The breakfast is very varied, lacks a variety of vegetables and salads, the coffee is really disappointing, there is only filter coffee and granulated coffee from an automatic machine, in a place of this level I would expect a quality grinding machine with a barista. We got a room with a malfunctioning air conditioner, it took quite a while to take care of the problem... Finally they moved us to another room, but the room had a split bed and thin mattresses (disappointing, especially that the beds move from each other) Renting a car from the hotel - note that the rental is not for 24 hours, but from the morning until 8:00 pm (they did not mention it), very disappointing and not compatible with the usual rental companies.

This resort is amazing, with its beautiful cretan architecture, the palm trees, the bougainvilleas, the alleys. Very accomodating main restaurant, clean, friendly staff, incredible food. Rooms are impeccably clean, comfortable beds.

One minor thing: the beach/pool umbrellas are semi-transparent, so what you get is not real shade, but just a kind of ‘filtered’ sun. But this is probably a matter of personal preference
