The owner greeted us at the front desk/bar area and explained everything that we needed to know about our stay as well as things to do in the area. He was a very nice host and helped us with anything we needed.

The wifi did not connect in the whole apartment and was only accessible from the balcony as there is no access point inside. The shower was quite small and since there was only a shower curtain, most of the water went on the floor out of the shower.

It was in a lovely location so close to all the restaurants in the old town. A lovely size pool however due to current circumstances the bar was closed the week of our stay however this suited us perfectly and didn’t hinder our experience whatsoever. The rooms were very comfortable. What stood out most about this property was the staff, I’ve never stayed anywhere with more helpful staff than here. As soon as we arrived George informed us due to availability he had upgraded our room free of charge, we were provided with a list of information and recommendations on malia and on our 2nd day George offered us late check out free of charge due to our flight time. For the rest of the week all our dealing were with Lida, she was so helpful and attentive to us, offering us a change of room to the ground floor if we needed when she notice my partners broken foot. However we managed perfectly fine with our original room. Lida did a wonderful job cleaning our room frequently and she genuinely couldn’t have been more helpful if she tried. The air con and hairdryer were both very good which isn’t normally the case for accommodations at this price point. We genuinely didn’t have a single complaint about our stay here and if we’re ever lucky enough to come back to Malia we will definitely be returning to Stelios.

Nothing. It was all perfect

My friends and I stayed five days at Stelios and we fell in love with both the residence and the staff! Besides being right in the centre of town (Old Town) it is also close to the beach (15 min walk to the most beautiful bathing establishments). At the same time it is a very quiet area. The room was basic but clean and the pool well maintained, open from morning to night. The real gem is the super helpful staff who make you feel at home from day one. Being Italian we didn't speak the local language but Giorgios and his family made us feel like we were lifelong friends. Even spending the afternoon with them at the pool was a pleasure. Always available for any need and ready to satisfy any request whenever possible, even removing a cricket late at night! We already miss them, the residence and Malia. Unforgettable holiday also thanks to Stelios' family. We hope to return soon.

The only thing missing was soaps and equipment for cleaning and washing but you can easily bring or buy them, or ask them for them without any problem, anyway they come by every few days to give a general cleaning.

Great location, awesome swimming pool

It would be nice if there was more equipment, things like bowls, more glasses, floor brush to clean the sand and few more. However, still it is a great place to stay.

Stayed at this hostel and had a great experience. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a relief. The place is run by a very friendly and approachable family. On the first day, the owner took the time to recommend places worth visiting, and they were always available for any questions. The pool, ranging from 1m to 2.5m in depth, is jump-friendly. Additionally, the location is an excellent base for exploring Crete since it's close to the highway, yet without any noise disturbance. Highly recommend!

The kindness of the hosts, the swimming pool, late check-in.

The shower was too small, the pool was not cleaned enough. The noise from groups of youngsters was annoying as we couldn't sleep normally. The mattress of the beds were really stiff and you could feel the spinsters. There is only 1 key per room which can be annoying, they should out a fee if people lose the key and give several copies.

Great place with a fantastic atmosphere. Top location, 5 min walking to everything you need, supermarkets, gift shops, restaurants. Very nice and helpful hosts. We had a great time in Malia, a highly recommended place to stay!

Everything was good

Very helpful staff, was nice to be in the Old Town of Malia but also not too far of a walk from nightlife so there was a good balance. Food and drink from the bar was really well priced and the room was great for the 4 of us

Location was great if you’re up for a 10 minute walk after the beach. Staff was SUUUUUUPER hospitable and accommodating, and always there to make sure you have the best experience possible. Also gave some good recommendations for good eats around Malia. Overall extremely pleased

Everything was perfect. The location is amazing, and the staff was the best part by far. They were all ways available to you and super friendly in case you need anything. The facilities were spotless and the pool amazing. Cheers to Lida and George!
