Polyxenia Hotel

We stayed in a rustic room with a fireplace (not in use, only for decoration) which had a nice old style furniture that absolutely fit the atmosphere of the hotel and the town, it was lovely. Bathroom has a decent size and was clean, good water pressure and provided with basic cosmetics. Room is equipped with little fridge. Location is in absolute center of the city, in more quite street in otherwise vibrant city center where you can find lots of cafeterias, restaurants and bars. 5 minutes walk from the esplanade. Parking is possible at the port area where, I understood, is the general parking for all the town. It is possible to drive close to the entrance of the hotel, drop off the luggage an go to park the car, walking distance from the parking lot is approx. 10 mins. Supermarket nearby.

The room was on 1st floor (no elevator) with miniature window placed right under the ceiling (the same in the bathroom), there was absolutely no view from the room and naturally almost not fresh air could get in either. I would not mind the window issue for 1 night but the fact it was mentioned nowhere in the room description when we were booking it is quite misleading practice, when booking the room the description was stating that there is mountain view and landmark view which is absolutely not true. I would not rate this hotel as 4 star as currently seen in Booking, probably 3-stars around is more appropriate.

It was just in center of the old town, near to all shops, tavernas, cafes and to harbour. Cosy rooms, well decorated halls and lobby. Staff were very nice and friendly. Do not expect specious rooms as it is a restorated old building in the center of the city. Difficult to find a parking place for your car, but plenty of free parking place available at the port. The breakfast was amazing with many different items.

Our rooms was on the 2nd floor and there was no elevator/lift as it is an restorated old building. No problem.for younger people but it is a little bit tiring for senior people like us :-)

From organising transport to the Hotel from Athens for a travelling party to providing a nicely served breakfast indoors or just outside it was a such a relaxing place to stay in comfort. Beautiful traditional house reimagined as a Hotel for visitors. There was a lovely feeling of days past. Two wonderful ladies managing the services and very attentive. It was very convenient to the local Bus Station making getting about so easy

Simply nothing not to like. The rooms and throughout were maintained to a very high standard.

The welcome we received from the two owners was exceptional who were very much concerned about our welfare. Breakfasts were taken at a table in the street outside which was very pleasant.

Our room was very cramped. Getting in and out of bed was a gymnastic exercise. Our room was not a double but a single room with a double bed in it.

Vintage decoration, location, clean room, nice beds, good sound isolation

Still 11.00 am covid early check out policy, while clearly not disinfected room. No certificates whatsoever. Lack of place/ stand and pegs to hang our towels and swimsuits. Booked double bed, we got two single beds joined together. At the lobby, forgotten personal staff of the stuff

The staff / owners were very friendly and had lots of good tips to help us enjoy our visit. The property was a traditional town house and had many interesting features.Breakfast was varied and gave us a good start to each day. Our room was very spacious and comfortable.

The only thing that could be improved is the updating of the bathroom.

Sisters Maria and Alexandria are two of this worlds beautiful people. They couldn’t do more to help (Alexandria even made a hair appointment for me) and are warm and hospitable. The hotel is in an excellent location and Nafplio is a charming town. We will return.

the room was clean with air cons, the position was perfect in the centre of Nauplia and also very close to the beach and the castle, the two wonderful ladies that manage the hotel and very big heart and kind people, we have had a problem and they have helped us in every possible way, i strongly recommend this hotel

Very friendly staff, property was very close to the centre of the old town. Also the building was very beautiful.

The bathroom could be a little bit more clean, the same with the fridge.

The hotel is very nice and cosy. It's inside an old building and very nicely decorated. The owners are very nice and I enjoyed having a nice breakfast in the small alley in front of the hotel. Plus, the location is perfect. It's close to the bus station and also in the Old Town.

The mattress was quite hard. There wasn't a place to hang the showerhead, I had to hold it in my hands while showering.
