Exceptionally friendly and helpful family run hotel, perfectly located in the Old Town, providing a peaceful oasis from the hustle and bustle of Rethymno. I am coeliac and require a gluten free diet. The staff went out of their way to accommodate this, by buying GF bread and baking GF cakes for me for breakfast! They also provided excellent restaurant recommendations as well as great tips on what to see during our trips out of the centre. They gave us a beach umbrella for the duration of our stay that we could take out with us - essential in the heat! The hotel also kindly booked our taxi airport transfers for us which made things a lot less stressful. Our room was large, comfortable, and cool, and kept very clean. There was a fridge, microwave and kettle which was very useful for days when we didn't want to eat out at lunch time. There were extra pillows provided too, and beach towels. We were welcomed with a bottle of Greek wine and a specialist honey cake. Because the hotel is small, when we used the pool it felt like a private pool - it was rare that multiple people were using it at the same time! We would love to come back to Rethymno again in the future and we wouldn't hesitate to book Mythos Suites again.

If we were staying longer than one week, it would have been useful to also have a hob and saucepan available in the kitchenette, but not essential.

Beautiful, boutique hotel in a great location right in the heart of the old town. Close to fabulous shops, restaurants, bars and the sea. Despite its location, there is no noise from the bars and restaurants. The family that runs the hotel are warm and welcoming and very attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. The decor is lovely and the apartments are spacious, very clean and extremely comfortable. The breakfast is amazing, with plenty of choice. I thoroughly recommend this lovely hotel and the old town of Rethymno. We were there in late May and it was just beginning to liven up. I imagine it gets very popular in the summer months. The weather was amazing, even though it was early in the season.

We have just had a wonderful stay at Mythos Suites in a 2-bedroom apartment (apartment 6). Spacious and spectacular, and with its own private gate entry. A brilliant location right in the heart of the old town with wonders to look at in every direction. Every element is considered for your comfort. May I also make special mention of the lovely Eirini who kept up a correspondence with me long before our arrival as we investigated local activities related to the Battle of Crete commemorations. Meeting her in person was a true delight.

Lovely hotel in a back alley in Rethymno. Very convenient for visiting the town, with great shops and restaurants nearby. Most of the rooms are located round a pretty courtyard with a small pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. There was a problem with one of the rooms we had reserved, but they offered us a large apartment next door as an alternative.

Parking is a problem Not very close, and expensive.

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by Nadia who was our host and overall planner for the duration of our trip .. she recommended restaurants,car hire and locations to visit .. the hotels location is central to all the restaurants,bars and shops and just a short walk to the beach. The hotel itself is quaint and homely and we absolutely loved every minute of our stay

There is not one negative comment I could make about this hotel ..

Mythos suites was literally perfect. we stayed in the two bedroom apartment and it was so spacious, comfortable and convenient. located in the middle of the old town and a 5-10 minute walk from the beach, it’s literally a tourists old town dream. the staff couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful! the pool and all the resident cats are just an amazing addition to this magical hotel. can’t wait to be back already! Thank you for such an amazing stay 🥰

Fantastic location in centre of old town but only 10 minute walk to beach. Lovely apartment,very spacious,plenty of wardrobe space and power points. Kitchen seemed to have absolutely everything you may need but as we were on holiday didn’t use as so many local restaurants too visit. All staff very pleasant and efficient, booking taxis etc and allowing us to keep our rooms late on our check out day. Highly recommend

Nothing to dislike

Centrally located , but like a quiet oasis. All the staff were marvellous, providing suggestions for restaurants, and places to visit. The hotel was kept completely clean and tidy at all times, and room cleaning, was exemplary. Every room provides an electronic mosquito killer together with the required tablets. Air Conditioning effective and essential. Breakfast was good, although somewhat repetitive, ringing the changes in meats, would have been good.

Given its location, taxis struggle to draw up outside the hotel so anticipate a walk from the waterfront to access the hotel, which after an early start, and delayed flight may not be your first choice, with heavy suitcases. There are no sun loungers around the pool which was the only downside, relaxing in a deckchair is not the same, given each apartment has it's own chairs and small table, replacing others around the pool with sun loungers would make it perfect.

We had a great time at Mythos Suites Hotel. The staff was very helpful and nice all the time and we felt very much at home there. Breakfast was also good with fresh fruit, orange juice and everything else that you might need. Also, special mention, they were really helpful we I had trouble with a flat tire on my rental car. We got an immediate recommendation for a garage where we could get this fixed. The guys there were already waiting for me when I arrived and 20 minutes later it was all fixed and I was on the road again. We can surely recommend it!
