Volos Palace

For people traveling by car, the location is great. The hotel owns multiple parking spots, outside the premises, and the guests can park their car there free of charge. Then all you need is to enjoy walking by the sea, since the city of Volos offers that. Our son with his scooter on the pavement for 5 mins, until reaching the pedestrian zone which is really huge. The room was comfy and the beds too. As far as the breakfast, it was everything we expected from a 4-star hotel. A big thanks to the staff of the hotel, which was really polite and helped us with every request we made.

The only drawback was the lack of a big balcony, where we could add two chairs to sit and see the sea. If the room was offering that, then it would have been a 10/10 stay.

This is a very good hotel in an excellent location. We arrived a little early, our room wasn’t ready, but we were immediately given an upgrade to a suite which was excellent in every respect. Very nice staff, good buffet breakfast, free parking outside (at least in March) - all in all, a totally good stay (alas only for one night). I also want to say how impressed I was with the recovery process in Volos after last year’s storms disaster. We have known Volos since the mid-80s, and we were relieved and delighted to see how impressive and determined the people have been to get back on their feet. A few side streets still need to be finished in the centre, but everywhere else was looking very good indeed. In Pelion now, where recovery is still ongoing, but with an equal determination and resilience. Do not hesitate to visit this lovely region. It is already getting back to its best.

Nothing at all to dislike.

Excellent location near the port, Grand in style with nice decor and ambience, good on site restaurant, sitting area, separate breakfast room with buffet breakfast that catered to all tastes, we had a room on 4th floor with a big balcony and lovely sea view. Tip: Rooms without sea views overlook apartments and their balconies. Very clean room and hotel. Very helpful staff especially the lovely man on reception and the young lady in the restaurant with the glasses and finally the lady from Housekeeping.

The room had a shower over the bath and the shower head was facing you, not to one end of the bath which made it difficult. However, it was a good shower!

The staff, as usual, were very friendly. The breakfast is excellent.

I found standing in a bath to shower very unsafe. I have polyneuropathy and little feeling in my feet. I also had nothing to hang on to. I asked if there were any rooms with shower trays and told no. So: despite staying at Volos Palace at least once a year and finding it great, I cannot risk it again.

The breakfast and its staff were exceptional. The front desk personnel were especially helpful suggesting where one should go to see the sights of the city and area. Room was large and had a nice view of the port area. Everything was functional. Maids were very attentive. Had parking on site.

Parking pattern a bit complex getting to garage and lifting bar by having to exit vehicle to press button, but not difficult to overcome issues.

IN A GREAT LOCATION,WITH AN OPEN VIEW OF THE PORT,FULLY EQUIPPED ROOM,COMFY BEDS,BIG BATHROOM,SUPERCLEAN & QUIET STAY. FREE PARKING,IN FRONT OF THE HOTEL WAS QUITE CONVENIENT TOO!

CAN'T COMPLAIN,BUT SINCE YOU INSISTED,I WOULD ENHANCE,BREAKFAST........(EVERYTHING WAS THERE,LOTS OF CHOISES,BUT I WOULD PREFER NATURAL FRUIT JUICE,AND NOT SO HOTEL-LIKE,PRODUCTS.....), BUT STILL,BREAKFAST WAS 8-8.5/10 !

Volos Palace is our choice when visiting the city of Volos. Just a 5min walk from the port which is lovely, with all the tsipouradika, restaurants and coffee places and the wonderful views. Also the hotel is conveniently located just at the start of the city, so if you come by car you don't need to enter the sometimes busy center, especially during peak hours. Lastly, even if it didn't apply to us, it should be mentioned that the location of the hotel is convenient also for non-car travellers, as it is just 2min (250m) away on foot from the train station, 10min (750m) away on foot from the bus station and 10min (750m) away on foot from the port.

Me and my husband spent 3 nights on this beautiful hotel.. Centrally located, just a breath away from all hot spots downtown.. Breakfast provides local delicacies, more than an intercontinental buffet..so satisfied.. Loved our espresso shots-tea bags.. Absolutely clean and tidy Seaview room.. Highly recommended, hope we will be back soon!

The breakfast was very adequate, the room was of a reasonable size and contained all necessary items (except an iron) and we had a good view of the harbour and the see.

The position of the shower in the bath tub was in the wrong position, in my opinion.

Concierge was extremely helpful in finding a taxi in the street for us to take us to the bus station and when we missed the bus because of the flooding to take us to Athens!

Toilet seat did not stay up. Shower rose did not tighten. Basin plug did not drain easily. Shower water went on floor.
