Hotel Clark Budapest - Adults Only

Fantastic Location, wonderful views

Rooms quite small but the overall location etc was fantastic. Only reason I left poor on staff is that a large number of them seem disengaged and not attentive in keeping with a luxury boutique hotel which is and should be about an experiential stay for guests and this can be made or broken by the staff. Many staff often on phones particular in the bar during the evening and also the kitchen staff when not cooking just meant on units scrolling social media for all to see as it’s an open plan kitchen. This was in stark contrast to others such as Aniko in reservations who I called just prior to visit and she assisted me and was superb but sadly had left the company when we arrived, Hannah in reception and Kamilla in the restaurant were all superb.

Very service oriented. Welcome drink, water provided daily, two bottles of wine gratis, free breakfast which was combo of a la carte and buffet. Great view of Danube from my window. Beautiful room and hotel. Easy to get a Bolt taxi.

Shower is in a tub with a narrow glass panel. Water goes everywhere in bathroom and slippery, deep tub makes for a challenge getting out of shower. No outlet for hairdryer in bathroom. Have to plug it in next to the mirror but there's an overhead light that you can't move so you keep hitting your styling brush on the light. Windows need soundproofing so you need earplugs.

Beautiful hotel, we were greeted at check in with a glass of fizz and nothing was too much trouble. Id mentioned it was hubby's birthday and there was a gift of chocolates, Paprika & fizz in the room. We also got a bottle of lovely wine and chocolates I'd enquired about decaf pods for the Nespresso machine and we were kept stocked with a supply. The room was very comfortable with an amazing view, huge bed and a good sized bathroom (we were in 511) Towels were changed as desired and the bed was changed once in our 5 night stay. We mistakenly refused the turndown service as the lady announced herself as room service and we hadn't ordered anything! The evening we weren't there they turned down the bed and left chocolates! Very well stocked mini bar & snack cupboard but there's a mini mart just next door to the hotel that's very handy for drinks & snacks, breakfast items etc. Leo's bar on the roof was lovely with amazing views but service was a little slow when we visited. Be sure to book a table even for drinks as it gets busy!

The wardrobe didn't have anywhere to hang dresses although there were hooks on the end of the wardrobe. The shower screen was too small so the bathroom was drenched when we showered.

One of the best locations you can ask for in Budapest. Located right by the chain bridge, a lot of the main tourist locations in Budapest are within 10 mins walk. At night, since Buda side gets quiet much earlier, you can sit by your window and enjoy the view of Danube and the beautiful chain bridge. The hotel staff were efficient, polite and super helpful. We arrived an hour prior to the usual check in time, however, since they had already inquired about our arrival time in Budapest, we had a seamless check-in process and didn't have to wait for our room. Highly recommend Hotel Clark as a place to stay while you're in Budapest.

If I could, I would give at least 20 points to this hotel. Absolutely everything was amazing since the moment we’ve entered the hotel. They took care of our luggage, kindly explained everything. We got a welcome drink, coffee. The staff was extremly kind during the whole stay in the hotel. The room we booked was on another level. The stunning view to the Chain bridge, the design, all pieces of furniture, decoration. I can’t stress enough how amazing this hotel is. Another bottle of wine and fine chocolate collection were waiting for us as a gift. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom trendy with Balmain toiletries, slippers and bath robe also available. The room had a Nespresso coffee machine. The rooms are soundproofed so we had full privacy. Not to mention the location. All the important things are in walkable distance. In case public transport is needed,the bus and tram stop is 3min by walk.

There is nothing which wasn’t good.

The hotel staff are well trained in customer care and go out of their way to resolve any issues. The room was superb, with views of the sunrise and the Danube/Chain Bridge while sipping coffee in bed. Every day the room was cleaned thoroughly and restocked. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Hotel Clark.

The restaurant - Leo - is let out to a third party and it shows. The staff are less than helpful and shrug their shoulders at specific dietary requirements. The Hotel staff went over & above to apologise and make amends, but as the client they should look carefully at the contract with Leo, as the front of house staff in the restaurant do not appear to live the values or reflect the customer centred approach of the hotel itself.

Normally I wouldn’t like to write a review but this time it’s different because my stay at the hotel is great. Especially for the staff, Air France forgot to load my luggage at the airport so I had to pick up myself, I remember I just like complain to the monsieur at the reception at he constantly checking with the airport to see if I get my luggage or not. The view is amazing and nearly everything is great.

The location of the bath in the room seems weird, but for living alone is fine

Loved the warm welcome we received with a glass of Prosecco and our bags taken to our room. The lovely guy at reception then sat with us and gave us advice on the best things to see and do in Budapest. The room was beautiful and the views over the chain bridge, Danube and Buda Palace were amazing - the bed was really comfy and a lovely touch to leave choclates and a free bottle of wine there too! Shame we had to leave! Thank you for amazing service.

Only thing we could possibly say was the room was very warm, could only get the temperature down to 19 which still felt warm. Otherwise, nothing!

I was a travel agent and have stayed at 5 star hotels, but this is the best one I have ever stayed at. From the moment we walked into reception and received a glass of welcome champagne, complimentary wine and chocolates in the room, turn down service, robes and slippers, everything was 1st class.. We added breakfast, which was excellent. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar Leo had amazing food and views and we went there our first and last night. Perfect location. Buda castle behind, hop on and off bus across the street, Chain Bridge across the street and many things are only a short walk away.

Nothing. I would recommend this hotel to everyone I know.

I couldnt have wished for a better stay anywhere. Best hotel I have ever been in. The staff are beyond exceptional and do anything and everything they can to help you. The room was lovely. I stayed on the 7th floor and the rooms are well worth the extra money. I had a balcony overlooking the chain bridge and the Danube. Most of the restaurants and stores are over the bridge in Pest so it is a good thing the bridge is now open for pedestrians to walk across. There can not be enough stars to rate this hotel. The breakfast was to die for. Eggs made to order. Juice, coffee, tea, brought to your table. Again nobody but me bothered to leave a tip for these hardworking people.

There was nothing I did not like.
