Very central to all sights and transportation routes, the price was great for my extended stay. Offered to keep the same accommodation without inconvenience. Access to common kitchen, grocery stores very close.

The shared spaces can be a little untidy and loud. The common kitchen and cooking area is accessible by anyone who comes into the hostel, entrance without need for key card or ID. On more than one occasion my food was taken without asking or apology. It is only suggested to label everything. Sometimes the women's bathroom is often crowded, often the toilets have no paper, or washing soap. Male guests have used the women's bathroom for showers or facilities. It is not uncomfortable, just makes the 2 person showers and three toilets crowded. The cleaning could be better, it doesn't seem enough cleaning products are used regularly.

I've spent 10 nights at Netizen this year (4 nights this visit and 6 nights last visit). The best thing about this hostel is the location. No, it doesn't have a scenic view, and no, it's not in the 5th district. But Netizen is at Blaha Lujza tér. You literally just exit the hostel, go past two stores under the portico, and you've arrived at the metro station. So easy -- it's not like you even went outside. Then all of Budapest is at your fingertips. The bus stop is literally in front of the hostel's door too. Trams are accessible from the other metro exit. If you are planning on taking the Metro (especially line M2) often in Budapest, I would stay here based on this fact alone. Overall, the hostel has a good price-quality ratio. The rooms are simple, but clean, spacious, and air-conditioned in the summer. There is a cozy quiet area upstairs. I look forward to staying here next time in Budapest.

1. I'm not crazy about the bathrooms which are not the cleanest. Although they are small for the amount of people that use them, I've never had to wait. The paper towel dispenser was not working this time on the 3rd floor men's bathroom. Some more towel hooks would be great. 2. There is no true kitchen. What the hostel calls a "kitchen" is really just an dirty area with sinks, refrigerators, and a glorified rice cooker. There is no stove or oven. Don't expect to cook much here. 3. As far as I can tell through my 10 nights, there is not really any social life here at this hostel. Most people are here for a short stay. It's better for groups than solo travelers. Expect a hostel where you can sleep well, not where you can meet other solo travelers.

The receptionists were very warm and welcoming. Check in is smooth. The beds are very comfortable as are the towels provided. The architecture and décor of the place is nice, especially the staircase, lobby and coworking space. The location is excellent, a short walk from Keleti train station and 2 minute walk from a metro M2 stop. For the price, it is a good option. I would stay there again. PS. The soundproofing is great despite it being located on a busy road. It doesn't account for noise from inside the room but that is just a luck of the draw with the roommates you end up with in the hostel. My room was hosting the snoring Olympics during my stay :/

The showers need an overhaul, and a very good scrubbing/ cleaning and a replacement of the shower curtain. The amenities like shower gel, tissue paper and paper towels (which claim to be provided) need to be refilled more frequently. I was the for 24 hours and there was no soap, the tissue paper and paper towels were depleted quickly. The common toilets also need more frequent cleaning. Internet in the coworking space is a bit spotty, and the music a tad too loud.

The room size and space were excellent, and the facilities were well-equipped. The staff was courteous and helpful during check in . The ID Cafe next door offered great coffee and breakfast options. The location was superb, just 900 meters from the central station, with a LIDL store a few steps away. The hostel itself is large and well-equipped, and the standard double room I booked was spacious.

The bed sheets, blanket, and pillowcases were covered in lint, making them very uncomfortable to use. Additionally, the beds were not made after the first night, and I returned to an untidy room. For the price I paid, I expected better service. Furthermore, the curtains were insufficient at keeping the room dark, both during the day and at night. Breakfast was just average

This is the BEST HOSTEL that I've been so far. Well organized, very modern, friendly staff, very good location, clean Kitchen/dining area, very wide sleeping area, aircoditioned room, clean restroom, BIG Towel is included, many availble toilets, a very nice place to meet other tourist / travelers and most of all VERY CHEAP and AFFORDABLE PRICE! In my 10-day vacation, I've checked in mostly in Hostels and I stayed only 1 day for each day so I could compare which Hostel offers the best for the money and I think this HOSTEL is worth every penny! Truly the best!

Just a small improvement regarding the bed, I can feel that the lower bed moves when the guest at the above bed climbs in or make a strong movement. Hopefully, this could fix or transform the metal double bed into wooden sturdy bed. Nevertheless

Excellent location in the city center, close to metro and train stops, with supermarkets nearby. The area is safe despite being in the center. The hostel is fantastic; it has elevators, a laundry room, a bar, a café, and vending machines—everything you need for a great stay. You can opt for the buffet breakfast, which is served in a dedicated dining room. Everything is clean and tidy, with comfortable rooms that feature USB outlets, reading lamps, and lockers.

When assigning people to rooms, they should ensure that sociocultural customs are compatible. We ended up sharing a room with individuals who didn’t shower after sweating all day in 40-degree summer heat, with particular odors that only they could tolerate. As a result, we had to request a room change because it was impossible to stay in the same space. The staff kindly understood the awkwardness of the situation and responded with smiles. Other than that, everything was spotless.

The location is good, the hostel is located on one of the busiest streets in Budapest, where there are always people. On the same street, there is a market that opens very early and works until quite late and some other 24/7 shops and fast food places. In terms of transportation, there is a bus station in front of the hostel door and a metro station a few steps away. Other bus stops are a few steps away as well. The check-in and check-out were fast, the staff were willing to help 24/7 and always greet you. You can buy a drink at the reception. There is also a bar, where you can order other types of drinks, alcoholic or non-alcoholic, as well as some food. There are two large rooms, where there is always someone who is also staying in the hostel like you so you can chat or work on your laptop. The same rooms are equipped with tables, chairs and sockets next to each chair. There is also a kitchen that is equipped with a refrigerator and all the other things you need. The women's and men's toilets are separated, the men's toilets were clean, there was soap, shower gel and there was always hot water. The room has central air conditioning and it was quite pleasant in the room. In the cube, you have two sockets inside as well as a light switch. A great view of the street can be seen from the window inside the room. If you need to check out earlier and your transportation is later in the day, they have a well-secured room with a coded door where you can leave your luggage and walk around the city in the remaining time.

There is a strange smell in the toilets. Not all food items for the menu are available at all times. There is no stove or oven in the kitchen. You have to pay extra to get a key for your locker in the room, but still you will sign a document that when you return it, you will get your money back.

Everything is brand new and modern, equipped with all the facilities for people's needs, including a coworking space - which is a must for remote workers. The receptionist (I don't know his name) is absolutely the most helpful person; he recommended a really cool breakfast place, a local cuisine with very affordable prices, and provided lots of other information. The hostel is near the Lidl supermarket; you can walk there in your pajamas to grab some hot croissants for breakfast. The metro is just a few steps away, as is the tram.

My room didn't have any windows that i could open. On the second day, a lady who was sick and smelled terribly came to my room, and I was not able to breathe. I got sick from her. If I could open the window and ventilate the room, maybe I could have avoided this.

I spent 5 days in Netizen , as a woman solo traveler I felt totally safe. I arrived before check-in time but they provide luggage room which is life saver. Sheets were clean , they provide towel , socket and a lamp for each bed . AC was working in the room . They provide free wifi. Location is also nice if you don't mind taking metro or bus to get to city centre ( metro and bus station is really close like less than a minute walk ).

I didn't like only three things , firstly they don't have curtains for bed which is a little uncomfortable but you can buy for 5eur at reception desk , and they don't have keys for lockers you should bring your own or buy again at the reception desk ( which is I knew when I was booking my stay ) . And lastly ventilation system is bad in showers which is really gethot and steamy.

Location was great near the subway and bus and store. Beds were nice. Networking and eating accomdations were spacious and nice. The whole place was pleasant to eyes. You can do your own laundry.

Some of the showers were broken and you had to hold the shower head in your hands. Showers also could sometime owerflow if the cleaning hasn't been done and there is even little hair blocking the sewer. Shared kitchen is only a water tap, shared tableware and a microwave. So no actual cooking can be done, but there is option to order food from the hostels own kitchen.
