This is a modern hotel, but built in a very attractive heritage style. The staff add thoughtful touches in the rooms, like local sweets and wax-embossed welcome notes. Since we traveled in the off season, the hotel was excellent value considering its high quality. At the evening musical performance we expected the traditional performance we had heard a number of times in Rajasthan and elsewhere, but this one had unique instruments local to the desert landscape. I especially enjoyed morning yoga with the surrounding birdsong. Breakfast was fantastic with a flautist in the balcony.

The pool was disappointing because despite the temperature being in the 90s, it was too cold to use because it's covered and so gets no sun to heat it. The other slightly peculiar thing is the hotel location. It's neither in historic Jaisalmer nor overlooking the sand dunes. It's halfway in between (30 min drive to either) in the scrublands, but I suppose that's what the hotel was going for. Personally I'd recommend spending one night in a hotel in the Jaisalmer Fort so you get the genuine historic experience, and then come to this hotel for exploring the Thar Desert.

Location and Vibe are excellent. My entire group appreciated the daily cultural programme, courtyard musicians, horse & camel riding facilities, pool and billiards room. Staff are friendly and particularly helpful in locating lost items.

The resort would provide better value for money if they up their game on their food menu. I felt the breakfast menu particularly could be more extensive for a sought after resort of good standing. The pricing of the ala carte dining seemed high but not unexpected.

Extremely courteous staff, the rooms were in pristine condition. The breakfast had a wide range of selection and the food was tasty. There are a lot of activities happening around the day and the evening event was splendid. Really picturesque property which is well maintained.

There could have been more in hotel restaurant options. An initial hotel tour by the staff would have been helpful than self exploring.

The staff did justice to the wonderful property. As someone - we rely at Rajasthan - defined Suryagarh prior to our visit as 'very opulent', we may now modify the label to 'tastefully opulent, without being arrogant'. We are delighted having experienced Suryagarh. It is managed extremely well. A must do, at Jaisalmer.

Fantastic survice. I have visited a lot of property .. but this is an experice. Trust me. so relaxing . from the flute music during breakfast to evening performace. to spa. to hospitality and der lovly sweet dish… Naina has give this place a personal touch . Ritujha was fun chichatter.. Rajeev ji from staff is dam sweet. Loved the place. even the Rambharose guy who takes care of the hourse is such a welcoming person… Incredible. I actully dropped my plan to go visit city since this property was sooooooooo amaaaazing… Highly recomend … relaxing trip to Suryagarh . Spa manager is soo kind toh manage everything and spa with PC, you cant afford to miss. they are Reiki healers who do ur spa… incredible. What detailing and colour palate…. Like - one small matka with a flower on the top can look so incredible and change how we look at the same room. love. love . love . love . love…. Already planning my next visit.

We had a great time at Suryagarh, the room was spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The bathroom was almost the size of the bedroom and sparkling clean. Staff was extremely hospitable and attentive without hovering. The breakfast buffet was a treat for our senses (be sure not to miss the outstanding juice bar!) and we appreciated the complimentary sweets we found in our room every evening. The premises are vast and well kept, the gardens are certainly worth a visit. Suryagarh also offers high quality musical evening entertainment every evening. The semi-outdoor swimming pool is airy and wonderful to swim in after a hot day in the desert.

One should beware that Suryagarh is located some 18km outside Jaisalmer, so you need a cab/driver to get there and back. Also, it is a big hotel, with very hospitable staff for sure, but if you’re looking for a homey, cozy feeling, this might not be the place for you. Otherwise we wholeheartedly recommend Suryagarh!

The architecture and layout of the property transports you right in between the life and times of Rajput kings and queens and every experience is designed to make you feel royal in every way and it began with being greeted with echoing bellows of drums and mesmerising tunes of local folk singers. Throughout our stay we were exposed to numerous performances by generational artists which in the backdrop of silent serenity felt absolutely magical. The food was indulgent and the authentic Marwari cuisine elevated to fine dining standards but still kept true to their rustic beginnings was an unforgettable experience. We were quite impressed by how even otherwise benign moments were populated by pleasant surprises, be it a host of sparrows joining us for our breakfast or beautiful peacocks accompanying us on our leisurely strolls. But without a doubt what truly uplifted the grandeur of our stay was the hospitality of the entire staff. I don’t say this lightly - We visited Suryagarh for its visuals but we left missing its people the most. Genuine kindness is a hard trait to train even in the hospitality industry and the love and passion with which we were treated left a last mark on our memories.

We’re not necessarily traveling luxourious but booked this place last minute after coming in from Udaipur at a bit lower rate. And it was more than worth it, the place is incredible, has everything you can image, rooms are spacious, staff is super attentative, food is great.

They have their own little animal farm where they keep animals for guests entertainment. The turtoises are harassed by the kids during breakfast and the ducks seem to have lost the ability yo fly…

the property is located away from the hustle bustle of the city of Jaiselmer. The entire property is on a 73 acre estate and wonderfully build to give a palace living environment . rooms are huge as I stayed at signature suite . The local folk song events /performance were amazing between 7:30pm and 8:30pm . They also have their own spa and Swimming pool . For Food , specify what you need and they will make it for you . restaurants are super clean and beautifully decorated . The property has a lot of lovely birds around it and supports a wide variety of wildlife in its gardens acting as an oasis . For me every moment spent there is something to be remembered. Saurabh from the hotel has a fantastic closely knit team and they really pamper you all the way during your stay.

There is not one thing I can complain about this property .

The breakfast menu had everything one needed. The staff & servers were very polite & helpful . The inner courtyard was a delight to sit with birds flutterind around & a life flute playing ... It was truly the best experience ever !!
