We loved Tokyo Palace. We had a deluxe king room and it was awesome. So spacious and relaxing. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooftop restaurant was excellent and we enjoyed several dinners there - the food was delicious. The pool wasn’t really for for swimming but it wasn’t a big problem as it was a little cooler. Just a shame that the room we booked said it had a bath which was one of the main reasons we wanted that deluxe room. However when we checked in we were advised that the how had no rooms with baths. We believe they should update their online information as this is quite misleading - a bath was important to me and we missed out. But apart from that we did love this property which was in an excellent location, an easy walk to the fort, the lake and around the town and a fantastic rooftop terrace.

Beautiful hotel with nicely decorated rooms outside the fort walls. The staff is very very helpful and provided a free pickup service from and to the railway station. They will answer any question you may have and provide local recommendations. Our highlight was the roof top restaurant with very good indian food and breakfast. Also you have an amazing view of the fort and can watch the sunset. The walking distance to the fort is roughly 20 minutes.

There was some construction going on, but we were there outside the main season, so this would be expected and they also offered us to change to a quieter room. They have a good, but quite expensive laundry service (30 Rupees per piece), which took 2 days instead of the told 1 day.

The bed is super comfy. The place is lovely and very clean. The food in the restaurant is very nice and the quantity to price related is very good. People from the restaurant packed us some food for our train trip with love. The hotel is very well located

They told us they would come pick us up at the train station as our train arrived at 10.30pm. They didn't show up but they thought we didn't confirm our petition, even though we talked with them before catching our train. We told them we were travelling without internet and as they saw the mistake they compensated us with an upgrade to our room reservation. They didn't mention before booking that the pool wasn't available.

Its magnificent forts and ornate havelis transport you to a bygone era, leaving you in awe of its grandeur. A good location. A short 10 minute walk to the Fort. Friendly helpful staff. A wonderful view from the roof terrace where you can relax and enjoy the surroundings. We were collected and taken back to the station free of charge. A nice touch when you arrive in a new location. Many thanks

Noise from reception, especially if you're in the ground floor rooms. Breakfast could be improved.. stale bread & cold toast. But the omelettes were good. The bedding is rather tired, but it was clean.

We arrived after a sleepless night on the night train, 7am, tired and sleepy. Yusuf immediately offered us a rest in the dorm, whilst waiting for the room to be available after checkout at 10am. We did our laundry, got then back the same day, and at a very very good price. Yusuf and other staff helped us book a camel safari tour (we went for the dinner underneath the stars option without the dance) - although not at the touristic place like Sam or Khuri, but equally enchanting. Additionally, we got a private car arranged to Bikaner. Breakfast was included in the price we paid for the rooms, at the rooftop restaurant. The fort is lit up at night, and this was good place to sit and admire the view. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the pool, which looked gorgeous in the sun. Yusuf offered us water for our trip when we left. Can't fault, very helpful staff. Stay here.

Not within the fort, but easy to find, just off main road, a short distance from the train station.

Nice hotel that is use to dealing with foreigners. They accommodated our requests and tried their best to provide for all our needs. They upgraded our room, got English channels on the TV, arranged for a safari and tour of local villages, allowed a late check out and arranged free transport from and to the train station. The employees of the hotel are very polite and helpful. Good breakfast and comfy beds. Great view of the fort from the rooftop.

The pool was under a renovation so no possible to swim.

A good review certainly helps tourists to make a choice with their bookings and so I shall also try to provide adequate details to help others make a good choice. Luxury & comfort can be found in small things as well. Every hotel need not be a 5 star to provide a great stay, every hotelier need not be a millionaire to have a civilized & courteous staff. One just needs to have that character & passion. Tokyo Palace struck me of that one with a character & passion. Location: It is very close to the fort, gadisar lake, the haveli(s) & other famous places in the city. Everything is in walking distance from here. Room: We fortunately got the best room in this hotel & we loved it. It was spacious, clean, and quite beautiful. I believe all other rooms were also quite good and decent with space. Food: Oh we loved the food here. It is not a very elaborate menu but all the items they have on it were made with its unique style and love (we felt). We ended up eating most of our meals here. We commend the restaurant chef & staff for the delicacies they had offered us, we loved them. View: It is right beside the Fort and the view after sunset was really nice. It felt like a peaceful place to be. Hotel Staff: Mr. Yosuf and his team were excellent. They honored our requests, guided us and made us feel like home. I also wish to mention about the owner of this hotel & his cousin brother, they were really good-hearted people. Traveling to a new place and finding such warm people makes your trip worth every penny. Honorary mention about Mr. Owner's fluency in Japanese, it was seamlessly excellent. :) We loved our stay with them and would definitely recommend this place to everyone. The staff were fantastic and I would especially like to mention Shakeel who could not do enough for the people staying in the hotel. Whether it was taking me on a tour or helping me with a laundry problem or finding an ATM machine for me, he would always do extremely well. OK. However the other staff were also excellent & especially the manager of the hotel, Mr Nanga Khan. He was also extremely helpful & full of good suggestions.

My only observation is that it would useful to a mini-bar or small fridge in each room. Apart from that I really do not have any criticisms.

There was big storms when we arrived, so we didn’t have the chance to use the swimming pool because of the dirt Hope the future guests will be more lucky because it seems nice !
