The location and the staff, the room was a decent size with a large bathroom and terrace with two comfortable chairs and a table, the pool was only a few steps away as was the restaurant, breakfast was served buffet style and there was a wide range of options for lunch and dinner. The hotel is with an easy walk to the beach as are the main sights of mamallapuram, but the hotel will arrange a tuktuk that will drop you at them and wait for you these are very cheap and I would recommend. When we first arrived in mamallapuram and were driving down the main road, I thought we were in the wrong place because the pictures showed trees around the pool and this was a busy main road, but then we turn into the drive and it opened up into this little oasis in the middle of all the hustle and bussle, relaxing at the pool after sightseeing was great, the staff were all brilliant we'll definitely return at some point

Nothing the place was actually better than we expected, especially when we were driving down the main road

Facility was well maintained. The moment we entered the facility we felt too good to see greenery around Breakfast Buffet food was very good and stuffing. Restaurant staff was cooperative and prompt. We ate omelet and dosa from running counter. the variety of food can be improved like aloo paratha can be added Swimming pool was great time spend. You can add more ladders to enter the pool and also some tubes, balls to play in the pool. Side railing is also required inside the pool wall. Depth can be marked on each side.

Earlier shown room bathrooms were not good hence we requested for another room. Though earlier room was big, and they arranged another room. Also, there were black stains on commode cover, one of the staff checked with hand and wiped hand at the bedding. That hygiene can be improved. Room service can be faster slightly

There is a nice pool, the rooms are comfortable and all the basics are available. The staff is friendly and polite. Centrally located near monuments in Mahabalipuram, walking distance to everything and a bunch of nice restaurants nearby like Madras Chronicle.

We were given a room with a smelly bathroom when we arrived, however we were given a different room upon making a complaint about it. The food service at the restaurant is a bit slow.

Location is OK. Breakfast also nice.

We entered into the room around 8.00 P. M. Next day they told to vacate around 12.00 P. M.. We requested to extend the time till 6.00 P. M. But they refused. So the management will arrange for the extension of room if we are in need. I feel very bad on that day. Even though we are willing to pay, they won't, allow us to stay.

After going through the reviews ,I was bit worried and I packed extra bedsheets.Once inside the room I was so glad I booked hotel Mahabs inspite of so many negative reviews The pool was clean ,food awesome,staff very friendly.The room was clean ,bathroom was clean .

The sponge kept in the soap case was worn out. The taps came of and it need to be looked at The drain in the washbasin didnt work. An exhaust fan will be helpful. Sounds from the kitchen and cleaning area was disrurbing our early morn sleep

It had bundles of charm and character. The food in the restaurant was great and the staff were fabulous. Great location. Huge bedroom! It’s like a little oasis when you get inside.

The pool needs some attention. It was clean but lots of tiles missing and paving around the side needs repair. However, the trees hanging over make it beautiful to swim in when it’s sunny. Maybe brighten up the bedroom with some colour. But none of these things spoiled our stay.

The staff , especially the gentlemen at the reception were lovely! They do a wonderful job at making your stay and travel beyond comfortable. Very accommodating staff. Excellently maintained pool and large comfortable beds.. toiletries and linen were ship-shape.

A couple of mosquitoes in the wee hours in the bedroom did disturb our sleep for an odd hour. Nothing that cannot be fixed with some bug spray or so. Nevertheless, lovely cozy rooms.

It fairly met all my expectations. The room was big, so was the bathroom and bed was comfortable. Wifi was fast and the location is super central, and just a few min walk to the beach. The swimming pool was the real winner, the ambience is green and pleasing to the eye and the water was friendly, you can spend hours in it. Food was also good.

Guests were allowed into the pool with their normal clothes, without even wearing a swim cap. They were also served food and drinks while they were still inside the pool. This is unhygienic, especially in the time of corona fear. My opinion is the hotel should not allow this.

Quiet and peaceful ..meant for family to stay and enjoy in a safe environment

No plug point available for 2 appliances. We could use fridge and if wanted to see TV had to unplug fridge and connect TV. Telephone was not working and hence difficult for room service. No attempt was made to repair the same.

swimming pool very large so that was good! there is also a spaceous restaurant and even roomservice available. Food at the restaurant was okay for dinner. the breakfast buffet was very nice with lots of indian choices, as well as toast and even eggs that they prepare on the spot. rooms are large and comfortable. inside and outside the room is space to sit and relax.

at arrival, the sheets were very dirty. we went to the reception and they immediately changed the sheets for us so that was a nice save. the hotel reception can call taxi’s for all the trips you want to take. however, these taxi rides are definitely a lot more expensive than an uber would be. Feels like they overcharge a lot for their taxi’s.
