I found this place after a long search wanting something close to the Mall and for a good price. It's about 10 mins by car from the Mall, very close to the bus station and down a side road. We had a room on 4th floor with glorious views across the valley, the rooms are not huge but fine for us and our large bags, they have everything that you need and are spotless, new and very comfortable. We appreciated the fruit and sweets served in an evening. Without exception the staff are wonderful, so cheerful and friendly and do make a real difference to the experience. My thanks to everyone, the people we met and also those behind the scenes that add to the experience. And the food, a real highlight and absolutely superb, there isn't restaurants within walking distance but you don't need them. Do try the Thali, oh my goodness this was amazingly good. One comment would be to turn the lighting down in the restaurant, it is very bright. If you could make better use of the outside terrace or roof for drinks or food then that would be great, the views are so lovely its a shame to not make more of them. Thanks to everyone for an awesome stay, if anyone has any questions about the hotel then I would be happy to help. We loved Shimla and our stay at Elysium really did add to our enjoyment.

The hotel is located about 30 minutes away from Mall Road, which I felt was the plus point! coz it’s away from all the rush and hustle which is there throughout at Mall Road. we selected the deluxe room category (tripple room) which offers a great forest view! The view of the standard room category is breathtaking but the rooms are very small. so I chose to opt for the deluxe room. the food was great, the staff was supportive and courteous and the property is new. just about a year old so it was also worth the money we paid! Beautiful property and a good stay.

I don’t find any reason to dislike this property.

Everything about the property is great! The helpful and super professional staff, ambience, facilities rooms. I would like to mention some special people who made our stay memorable. Mr Vishal, Mr Manish at Front desk had all smiles for us at the arrival and ofcrse after our day end. Mr Vijay n restaurant team were so helpful and quick in all our requests. The housekeeping lady Ms . Aswani was so sweet wth my child. I would thank all the wonderful staff for such memorable stay ! All the best and keep up the excellent job! Cheers

Swimming pool is missing!

We got an upgrade when requested. Views are. Magnificent and staff is very polite especially the lady from hospitality who delivers free sweets for tea every evening. We loved the Himachal Thali and Maggi from in room dining.

At least 2 bottles of mineral water should have been complimentary. Standard room was not spacious enough so when requested we got a free upgrade to a spacious room. Displayed hot and cold breakfast options are pretty average but when you request the chef they make fresh breakfast so no point of buffet.

excellent stay. staff was very attentive. Great hospitality and ambience. Attention to detail and personalized. Specially felt welcomed by Vipul at the restaurant daily and Kritika and Monika at the front desk. There was a surprise dessert everyday after we got back to our room. the food was great and so was the view from the property and its location (next to new bus stand). Highly recommend this place.

room was a little small (or the furniture was a little large for the room size). would be better if there was more room to move inside the room.

We had booked 2 rooms, one for my parents and one for my wife and daughter. The rooms were very neat and clean. Included all necessary items. The breakfast spread was good and food was good as well (breakfast was included as part of our package). We also had dinner one day in the restaurant which was good as well. The property was away from the main market so it was quiet and peaceful (15 min drive to Mall Road). Staff was friendly and helped whenever required. We were able to park our car at the hotel as well. We were served complementary desserts in the evening.

No complaints. They may want to include seating area in the open for the restaurant, if possible.

We had an amazing stay at the hotel. Staff is excellent, very helpful and very sweet. Room is very beautiful and spacious. There was this girl Nikita who was extremely sweet and she remembered every bit of what and how we like in the breakfast. Pankaj was also very sweet. Overall hospitality at this hotel is outstanding, happy and would definitely stay there again. I highly recommend this property,

Elysium is on the Shimla Bypass road, so you avoid the traffic jams. The Rooms are spacious. They overlook a clump of trees for the road facing Rooms and the valley for the rest. The Restaurant has excellent food. We tried Himachali, Indian and Continental cuisine and was pleasantly surprised by the flavors in each one of them. The Buffet spread is also awesome. The staff gets a 5* for their customer service

It would be great if they run a regular shuttle to Mall Road.

We liked the location of the hotel and also the hospitality of the staff. The bedding was one of the best I have used. Also every evening we were served a desert which was a very sweet gesture. A special mention to chef Dogra, Jagdish, Omi and Nikita who served us very sweetly at the restaurant and gave us a good experience of the Himachal cuisine.

The bathroom needs to be redone to ensure the water from the shower does not wet the entire washroom

Very comfortable, modern facilities. Exceptionally clean and staff were extremely professional & fantastic, offering great service and attention. Food was of a high standard

Maybe a little expensive but no hidden costs so was a choice to pay the tariff, a little away from the centre but this was known at the time of booking.
