- Location is great -This is an old beautiful colonial style building concerted into a hotel. - The view from the room was beautiful. - Spacious room. - Great for a relaxing holiday. - Customer service is great. - Hiresh was very helpful both before we reserved the hotel (answered questions on the phone) and also was very helpful after we checked in at the hotel. - Kumarswamy, Noor were great in terms of service at restaurant and the afternoon snacks in the patio. - Kumari and other staff were quite helpful when it came to room service, cleaning etc. -

- No outdoor seating for restaurant even during these times of COVID-19 pandemic. So we tried to avoid the restaurant as much as possible. - Bath tub could have been a bit more clean. -

Locations: The property location is the top class. There is other hotel too but Royal Orchid hotel is placed strategically where you get the view of the entire garden all the way to the fountain at the other end. Rooms: The rooms were good. We got the room on the 2nd floor. The balcony was huge. The rooms were apt in size and bathroom was clean and roomy. Restaurants / Bar: The Elephant Bar has a view of the entire garden. In the night, its beautiful with the garden lights on. The bar is well stocked with all drinks. Only starters is served at the bar. The main course is served at the restaurant. The restaurant was good and the food was tasty. Amenities: Valet parking was a bliss. The swimming pool is decent sized. Didn't use the SPA and hence can't comment on it. The front desk took care of our luggage as we had arrived early. We could keep our luggage with them and go on with sight seeing. They welcome you with a welcome drink and a wet hand towel (refreshing towel). Do note: There is no lift and the climb to the top floor can get tiring. On request the hotel does provide rooms at the ground floor.

Swimming Pool: The pool could have been cleaner. Though the pool care taker was around all the time, he wasn't removing the leaves and the insects from the pool. Had to swim with a few dead insects around you. Well, it wasn't that bad and we did enjoy the pool. Front Desk: Not sure if the folks in the front desk were trainees. They seemed to be confused on prioritizing things. At check-in, made us wait but then forget that they asked us to wait. They carried on with their other work. Had to remind them that we were waiting for check-in. At check-out as well, they seem to be fumbling though we let them know were checking out. Again, no red flags as such. It was a minor thing and didn't really change our experience.

Located amidst the Brindavan gardens, Mysore, the majestic building was perfect for a holiday. The room was large, the view from the balcony was fabulous. The furnishings and the bath fittings were a bit run down, but clean. It was lovely to walk around the gardens in the morning, without the crowds of the evening. The breakfast was good. We had invited a few relatives over for dinner. The food, for dinner, was rather ordinary. Overall we had a pleasant stay. A monkey entering our room on the third floor provided some additional excitement!

The furnishings and bath fittings could do with a makeover. The jostling of the crowds on the walk to the musical fountain was a bit unnerving for our guests and the jumping of queues to take the boat back was unpleasant. It would be worth considering a private boat ride for the hotel guests.

This property rates as one of my favourite destinations as it has the charm of a true heritage building combined with the superb facilities offered by Royal Orchid .. Great Food, Great rooms and cleanliness every where …!!

One request that I have is related to the urgent requirement of adequate ventilation in the washrooms to enable quick drying, please do this immediately … thank you

There’s an absolute need for the serving staff to be equipped with the the local language which is Kannada as we are proud kannadigas and we refuse to speak in Hindi just because they speak that language.It’s highly imperative for them to learn Kannada through training before they are hired in such hotels in Karnataka.If it’s going to be Hindi, then we will stop staying in your hotel henceforth.So take my suggestions seriously

Peaceful location, exceptional view of the garden from Balcony. Wonderful staff with service mindset. Quick access to Mysore via personal vehicle, Good parking

Wouldn’t say didn’t like - limited facilities but holds up, just don’t expect a exquisite pool; bar had limited space and limited brands Caution - Touts try to approach you, would have been great if we were forewarned

The location is the best in Mysore! In fact, nothing in the country can offer you a view like what you get here of the beautiful Brindavan gardens. Also it gets really really pretty at night! Moreover, the staff is really really courteous and helpful! Gangadhar ji and his team make sure you have a pleasant experience throughout your stay. Even Hiresh at the reception desk was courteous and helpful! The food too is really good and not very expensive either! The breakfast spread is wonderful and offered complimentary! I wish I could stay longer here! And definitely would suggest everyone to book a stay here if visiting Mysore.

There was no lift since it’s a heritage property. Moreover, it’s 45 mins away from the city centre where most of the attractions lie.

At the moment Brindavan Gardens is under renovation so not much like before where we could enjoy the full scenic beauty and enjoy the peaceful and tranquility stay. May be we need to wait for completion of renovation to enjoy back the same stay as previous again

LOVELY PLACE TO STAY WITH FAMILY. THE GARDEN VIEW IN THE EVENING ESPECIALLY IS A TREAT TO THE EYES. THE GARDEN IS JUST A WALK ACROSS FROM THE HOTEL. BEING A ERSTWHILE KING PROPERTY IT HAS THE HERITAGE FEEL

THE CORRIDOR IN THE EVENING WERE INFESTED WITH MOSQUITOES DUE TO THE WATER BODY AROUND.

slide lock on veranda door was loose. Anyone could enter room from veranda with a slight push on the locked door. Also, AC high on wall leaked water onto the floor. Some of the engineered flooring with wood top is starting to buckle from moisture
