After my last trip in march 2023 during when I stayed 3 times in Ashley Tang I addes another 2 stays during my trip in may/june this year. What to add to my previous comment ? As I have stayed in several hotels in this area including the 5 star hotels like Grand Hyatt, Mandarin Oriental and Kempinski I can only say that this hotel totally fulfills my expectations. With its clean and relative spacious room and its excellent service it s a fair deal compared to the other hotels in the area (not the 5 star properties of course). As there are some remarks about the breakfast I have checked this more carefully ! The breakfast is mainly an Asian breakfast but as the name of the hotel mentioned it is a Chinese styled hotel. There is always a mix of Asian dishes, some croissants and pastries, a mixture of fruits and a nice pudding with vanilla sauce. Thats sufficient in my opinion and to my taste and of course I will not compare the breakfast with one of the 5 star properties. Sabang is very central located to the big malls like Grand Indonesia and Plaza Indonesia with lots of good food ! Outside there are lots of street food stalls like Martabak, sate ayam or kambing, a small warung where you can get a good nasi campur (go to the left and its about 50 m to your left). Besides that there are supermarkets left, right and accross the street so what more can you wish ! Yes it s crowded in the evening but tell me one place in Jakarta where there is no traffic ! All together another great stay in a vibrant city and I have booked my next stay for this year already ! Thanks pak Hari, mbak Martha and all staff and keep up the good work ! See you soon !

My recent stay at Ashley Tang Menteng in Jakarta was a delightful experience. The hotel's welcoming atmosphere, comfortable rooms, and attentive staff made my visit truly enjoyable. Luthfi and Anni at the reception stood out with their warm and professional service, ensuring a seamless check-in process and addressing my needs. The spacious and well-designed room provided a comfortable retreat, while the hotel's location in the vibrant Menteng district made exploring Jakarta easy. The staff's exceptional service, particularly Luthfi and Anni, added a special touch to my stay. Overall, I highly recommend Ashley Tang Menteng for an exceptional stay in Jakarta.

Really great hotel! We loved how it was decorated - both the lobby and our room. The room was the perfect size and the bathroom as well. The lights around the mirror and the bottom of the bed were a great touch. The bed and pillows were super comfy. The room was quiet despite how busy the street was. The bathroom had plenty of small amenities, including conditioner (which is rarely provided in hotels). Everything felt new and well-maintained. There was also a small fitness room, but we didn't use it. We really enjoyed the variety at breakfast in the morning. The nasi goreng and chicken were very flavorful, as were the eggs and sausage. There were also a few western options and juices. Several people mentioned a very limited breakfast, however, it should be understood that this is a Chinese-style hotel in Jakarta -- breakfast will be Asian, not western. We appreciated being able to check in early, as well as leave our bags when we checked out so we could do a bit of sightseeing. The hotel is in the center of the city and the location is great for heading out for shopping or sightseeing. Monas is within walking distance, as is Grand Indonesia mall (but it's worth it to take a taxi because the streets are difficult to cross safely).

The hotel felt like a haven on such a crowded busy street. It was a bit overwhelming when you step outside because there was so much going on. It made me thankful that our room was not facing the street.

I have a very pleasant stay at this modern Shanghai boutique hotel located in Sabang! I have a comfy bed, spacious room and I love hot showers every morning. The view in my room is beautiful too, big windows to catch sunrise and sunset. The hotel is accessible to Sabang (Jakarta's famous food street), Sarinah (nearby mall) and bus stations. The front desk and all the staff are friendly and helpful. Special mention to Mr. Syarahul for doing extra mile, talking to guests, greeting us with a smile and providing us complimentary bottled waters at the lobby. Plus points: I was able to use the free laundry and iron services, it really is a big help for me as a traveller. Overall hotel experience was excellent - I'll be back!

During my last trip in february I have stayed in Ashley Tang 3 periods of 3 nights. The location is perfect on walking distance of Sarinah Mall and Plaza Indonesia and Grand Indonesia. From 06 pm there are a lot of food stalls on the street with traditional Jakarta streetfood. The room is spacious with a good bed and a spacious bathroom compared to comparable hotels in this area. Very convenient is the laundry room near the concierge on the groundfloor. The breakfast is good if you like an Asian style breakfast.

The staff and facilitates were amazing. There was a laundry room which was really helpful for us as we'd been traveling prior to arriving in Jakarta. The room was clean and spacious, we really enjoyed our stay. Theres also a really amazing satay place about 10 minutes away walking called Sate & Seafood Senayan. It was amazing, we went twice.

The wifi was almost unusable. My husband ended up going to a couple coffee shops to work. The street outside the restaurant is also very busy and a bit loud at night, but it was manageable and of no fault to the hotel.

This Hotel and room are clean! Comfortable to stay but room size was a little smaller than expected. The stuffs are friendly. There was no iron in the room, so I called the front desk and they brought me one. Thanks! This hotel is located in a convenient area. There are cafes and convenient stores and the supermarket near here. So many food stalls open at night on this street. So you don't need to worry about food. Also Sarinah mall and The Plaza Indonesia are located within walking distance. If you are not comfortable with street food, you should go to these malls.

•No fridge in the room. •The buffet were really crowded around 9am. Recommend to get breakfast earlier.

The property was so clean compared to other places I’ve stayed at throughout Asia and Indonesia and the staff was very friendly. At night, many food stall vendors pop up, making it feel very lively. Very close to main attractions in Jakarta such as Grand Indonesian and National Monument. They included a lot of essentials that I did not receive at other hotels, like providing water bottles every day.

Laundry was very useful, but limited in availability. Breakfast was sometimes hit or miss.

The staff are amazing. Will help you until you have no more questions! I have been helped by Lutfi an amazing guy who is very supportive and will tell you where to go and eat in Jakarta. The hotel is close to a local mall only 4 minutes walk highly recommended and better than many big ones. You have many supermarkets only a couple of minutes walking from the hotel. Love the people, culture and food in Jakarta.

Room is a bit small and no fridge in the room to keep cold water and food you buy and you need to consume same day.

The hotel feels kinda swanky, so it’s nice. Everything was clean and the bed/pillows were super comfy. It’s in a great location to eat good food. The staff were friendly. Lots of lighting options in the room and a huge mirror. Great AC.

The wifi didn’t work whatsoever in the room, which also means the streaming services on the TV didn’t work either. The noise from the street when trying to sleep at night was loud. The walls were thin - I could hear the people next door when they were in the bathroom. The room was small. No outlet by the bed to charge your phone.
