Our room was located up the hill with a gorgeous view of the bay. Was very nice to chill out in the terrace. The reception/dining room also has an amazing view. The hotel is composed by small buildings (room+bathroom) spread on a hill, it's really good looking. The host helped us adding an extra bed and calling the taxi for us.

The air conditioning and the fan in the room were very noisy so that we couldn't use them. The room was very hot. You have to walk for 10 or 15 minutes to reach the Main Street of Labuan Bajo, and the return is uphill, not a problem for us, but it might be challenging for someone.

I would stay here again just for the view - absolutely stunning. The most AMAZING sunsets! Which you can view from the pool area, breakfast area or the balcony of your room. You just wouldn’t be able to get a view like this in Europe for this price. The host was super communicative and helped me in booking a trip of the island - which I did with D’Tour and would recommend! The host even had a packed breakfast made for me as I was leaving so early. Room was spacious and the balcony area was lovely to relax. Liked having a kettle in the room. Gorgeous little cats wandering around the gardens.

Unsurprisingly the hotel is on a hilltop (it’s in the name!) so there is a little bit of a walk down to the main restaurants - but I didn’t mind this at all, it only took about 10 minutes. And without the hilltop you wouldn’t have the amazing view! My only complaint is that the host booked me an airport taxi pick up and he never arrived which was frustrating (as I had to wait for 15 minutes in arrivals being accosted by about 100 other taxi drivers which was quite intimidating) - but the host was very apologetic about this.

Breakfast was basic (3 choices) but was nice enough (may get repetitive after a few days?). Bungalow was spacious and well kept. Each bungalow has a spacious balcony/terrace area with amazing views over Labuan Bajo port. Likewise the pool has a fabulous vantage point and it was nice to chill out there for the day (the main reason I selected this place as we wanted somewhere to be able to dry dive gear (balcony) and generally chill out for 24 hrs after our liveaboard and before catching the flight to Bali)

Not a ‘don’t like’ but I think they could have fit just a couple more sun loungers at the poolside.

Amazing views of the bay from every room and the common areas. Simple breakfast (choice of omelette and toast, banana pancakes or nasi goreng) plus fruit, juice and coffee or tea. Short walk up or down the hill into town and back - about 10 to 15 mins depending on your pace. Clean and comfortable. Fan and aircon kept the room cool.

Stayed two nights and room wasn’t cleaned after the first night. Bed was a little hard and pillow a little flat.

Golo hilltop is really at the hill so from the pool you get a bit of an infinty feeling :) also it feels like outside in the green but is still pretty close to the harbour/city.. if you don't mind the one part to walk without pedestrian (like less than 5 min) it is quite ok, but ok a bit steep up the hill but close to the fish market/food.. also the hosts are extraordenary nice friendly and helpful. (super arrangement for the luggage for the nights during the boat trip etc.).. also the breakfast was really nice and delious!! :)

not much to complain, as mostly just ask for it and there are willing and open to help you with most things.. as even to arrange you a driver etc.. the bathroom in a way, as the rest is super nice and great but this is more ok basic, not sure how to improve it, maybe a bigger sink and some better spacing or so.. they try you can tell..

The hotel is located approx. 10 minutes by car from the airport. Beautiful view. The rooms are large, clean, the beds are comfortable, there is a mosquito net over each bed. We had no problem with insects. Very tasty breakfast every morning. The owner is a wonderful person with a very good heart. As our luggage did not arrive, she lent us towels for our 3-day stay on the boat in the Komodo Islands. Maximum satisfaction and recommendation

Beautiful views, amazing sunset, nice pool, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room.

Unreliable wifi was the only negative.

Difficult to add to what other reviewers have already said. The location is beautiful. A little out of town, but we walked into town daily and enjoyed visiting EscapeBojo close by with great food, service and views. Golo Hilltop is quite and serene, we didn't hear any call to prayers. Most importantly the owners are extremely kind and welcoming, we felt at home and wished we had stayed longer. The shower was hot, everything clean and rooms provided what you needed. We would definitely return if we are ever lucky enough to visit the Komodo Islands.

Beautiful hillside location, with sunset views from the pool. A lovely spot to come back to at the end of a day exploring the island. The rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's a short walk down into the village and there are few restaurants/bars nearby before reaching the village. I would happily have spent longer here.

Very nice, clean, cosy place. The views towards the sea are absolutely stunning, especially at the time of sunset ! Rooms are rather spacious, equipped with everything needed and well-kept. The staff is friendly and helpful! Breakfast was also good - a choice between American breakfast and banana pancake 🥞 !

It requires a little bit of walking up the hill to come back from the city, but it can easily be done by scooter :)
