The place is top for one main reason: the reef you have just in front of the hotel. The quality of the snorkeling is just insane. Bring with you a long levees scuba shirt because its full of small and picky jellyfish, particular some times of the day. Nothing major, just annoying. People at the restaurant and providing service are very nice. Good quality restaurant. Bungalows are big with comfy beds and open air bathroom.

Rooms are nice with open air bathrooms, but sheets had stains, although it was clear they were cleaned. Not exactly what you expect when you pay 230 euros (in Indonesia!)

The whole experience was great! The boat ride from Labuan Bajo was super smooth and the staff is super nice! The island is amazing and there is so much coral to explore. They also have nice snorkeling gear that is available at all times. The restaurant is very nice, the rooms are cozy and there a lots of areas where you can chill.

We stayed for 5 days and we found that the food offer was a bit limited, especially becase there's no other place where to eat apart from the restaurant. There's a small village on the island, but there's nothing there. Additionally, we took an excursion, which included visiting a cave and going snorkeling to a close by island, however, we found the price for the boat alone a bit high.

A special place on a beautiful private beach. I loved my bamboo bungalow with an outside bathroom and the view of the ocean. Also loved freshly prepared food in a bamboo manta ray-shaped restaurant whose architecture and design amazed me. Everything, including the chairs and the plant containers are made of bamboo. Lots of activities to do like kayaking, snorkling, Komodo trips or just relaxing on the beach and listening to the waves. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful and all made sure my stay goes wonderfully well. A special thanks to Alex, my Komodo trip guide, who was kind, competent and professional and made sure that my group's trip to the Komodo National Park be special and unforgettable.

Everything was perfect.

The coral reef right in front of the resort was amazing for snorkeling. Thousands of colorful fish and we also saw turtles and baby sharks. Snorkeling equipment, SUPs and canoes were available for free. We can really recommend to take the canoe to the adjacent tiny island with a beautiful beach. Therefore it is important to have a look on the tides, since the water level varies during the day. We also enjoyed the food and in our eyes the prices were reasonable, only a little more expensive than in Labuan Bajo. The staff was also very very kind and helpful. The resort offers many different and beautiful spots to relax.

Only some of the bungalows are really in the first row with a perfect view of the beach. We also booked a bungalow with sea view, but ours was in the second row what was a bit of downside for us. The beach directly at the resort is not really suitable for swimming due to the algae and the coral reef. Therefore it is best to visit the adjacent islands.

Spacious, clean, comfortable rooms set on a beautiful island amongst charming fruit, flower and vegetable gardens and palm trees. Serenely quiet beach with a stunning reef just a few metres from the shore, snorkelling gear provided and incredibly warm, friendly staff who.will.happily organise day trips. Great meals served in a beautifully designed bamboo-contructed restaurant and tropical cocktails. Oh, and a frangipani fringed salt water pool....

The only drawback was that we couldn't stay longer. Next time we'll bring some board games to gift future travellers with teenagers...but ours quite enjoyed lying around and almost never being made to do anything in particular...

Beautifully located on a peaceful island. Staff was very friendly and food was tasty. Swimming pool is amazing. Possibility to use kayak - we have spotted big turtle. Beautiful sunsets. Good facilities, very nice restaurant with amazing views. Looks and is better than in the pictures. It’s a little paradise especially if you are looking for a quiet place for couples or families. Feels very private. Highly recommended.

Cold shower only On a way back we were taken back on a very old fisherman boat that was super loud and smelt of petrol all the way. There were spectacular views but completely destroyed by old boat that was below any acceptable standards (especially noise). When you book your stay make sure you DEMAND them to take you on more modern boat (we were taken on that boat once and it is much faster and most importantly quieter) just refuse to board old board (you should be taken on speed boat)

We loved this beautiful boutique hotel on a tiny island built over a tropical reef. We stayed in a bamboo cottage on the beach with an outdoor bathroom from your dreams. They picked us up by boat from the mainland and we were away from the touristy town. Everything was well kept and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The restaurant was delicious and they even made us a boxed lunch to take on our one day national park tour. The hotel took us out on their private speed boat with a captain, mate and guide for a full day adventure including meeting Komodo dragons, swimming on a pink beach, hiking up to the top of Padar island and the best snorkeling we have ever witnessed. Best day of a two week trip. I wish we had stayed a few more days.

We liked everything here.

We stayed 2 nights in Seraya early June 2023. Booked the Seaview Canopy room. It was 2 Adults and 1 Teen. 😁 We were completely blown away by the resort when we arrived. It was tranquil, idyllic and peaceful. Room was spacious, and most importantly CLEAN! Restroom was very clean, and being partially open air, you’d catch a number of colourful butterflies, moths even and the occasional gecko! Bed was super comfy, and housekeeping did a great job with the linen and we literally “faxed” ourselves into the duvae. 😆 There was NO muskiness from the pillows or extra bed. Air conditioning works really well and it kept us all cool during the night and day. Big thanks to Eddie, Taufik, Adrian and Gonzo for their fabulous service, knowledge of information, and dedication to giving their best to us. We had an out-of-world experience with Taufik when he brought us to Hatamin Island. He was outgoing, friendly and super accommodating. He brought us to where the baby sharks would hang out and we managed to see quite a few! It was simply amazing! Best moment of our trip in Seraya! Shout out to Gonzo as well for helping us with our transfer back to mainland and airport. Food variety was limited but oh-so-DELICIOUS! The fish was wonderfully fresh and cooked well! Wish we had more time to enjoy the food and water sports. The pool was salt water - non chlorinated. It’s an eco-friendly resort and takes you back in tune with nature. Don’t expect Wifi in rooms or any electronic gadgets, except for hair dryer. 😁👍🏼 Overall it was an amazing stay.. Thank you to all in Seraya especially Eddie and crew for making this an OUTSTANDING resort and keeping it real close to Mother Nature. Love it! ❤️🙏🏼

what’s not to like? 😁

Very beautiful resort on a remote island. The accommodation and layout of the resort is fantastic. However, the highlight for us was the reef in front of the beach. Even while diving I haven't seen as much underwater life as we did while snorkeling here - from reef fish to sea horses, murrays to even turtles and baby reef sharks (30cm or so)!

Even though the service was excellent, we felt it was lacking a bit of a personal touch, something we really enjoyed in other accommodations before. Also the restaurant was ok, but nothing special. Maybe inform guests more about snorkelling at the reef, as it is very shallow at low tide and parts of the corals were already broken - it would be a shame if it was destroyed.

Absolutely beautiful resort, would not hesitate to stay again. Joy and the team were so hospitable, always a smiling face and could not do enough for you. Offered a western and Indonesian menu - we were there for 3 nights so sampled both, would definitely recommend the Indonesian dishes - delicious!! Were met at the airport and instantly taken down to the dock where there was a boat waiting for us. Kayaking, snorkelling and paddle boarding all included too.

Not so much the hotel - but I'd recommend when customers go out on the kayak to pirate island that a team member keep a look out for them with some binoculars. We got into a bit of trouble coming back due to the current and when we arrived back there was no-one around, we thought if the worst had happened no-one would have been wise to it!
