Our hotel location was excellent and the staff were happy and smiley, especially the lovely lady at reception. Breakfast was good once we got into a rythym. We enjoyed the omelettes which were cooked to order and the pancakes were good too. We were upgraded to a spacious room and our son also to a room with a balcony. We walked daily to just around the corner... Beautiful clean beaches, great restaurants (Cucina, Tamarin to name a few) Manarai had a great pool which welcomed guests from other hotels, friendly staff and a tasty menu. We spent most of our time here just relaxing or swimming, shady umbrellas and beach towels aplenty! We enjoyed glorious massages on the Sofitel grounds with nothing to hear but the ocean and a warm, gentle breeze. You really felt a beautiful calm nothingness overcome you and lull you to a light sleep. There were a few hawkers selling their wares on the beaches but they were friendly and respectful and kept their distance from the hotel grounds.

I absolutely hated the rock hard beds. I asked reception to add mattress Toppers on 2 occasions which they did while apologizing profusely. I have no qualms with the staff, they were amazing, but 1 week after leaving there and staying somewhere else I am still feeling the effects.

Beautiful friendly caring staff, good location though very different to Legian, Kuta etc… a lot more spaced out, gorgeous surroundings. Comfy rooms & beds. Good restaurant & pool.

Small TV for the room, other guests were super rude… not the hotels fault but we didn’t like it.

From the first encounter with reception staff we were treated with respect ... and of course smiles! This includes the 24 hour gate guard who always greeted us with 'welcome back' when we'd been for a walk. Everyone working at Grand Whiz was smiling and courteous, even the gardeners and pool attendants. Breakfast was varied, many dishes offered each morning to suit any taste and appetite. Also delicious, and again, provided with a smile and respect. The pool is wonderful, a perfect temperature all day every day, with poolside lounges and umbrellas as well as shady trees surrounding it. There is a long extension for lap swimming exercise. There is also a shallow kids' pool. The beach is a short walk (300m) mostly through a wall enclosed pathway which is shared with motorbike traffic. Riders are always courteous and 'thank you's are forthcoming, as the pathway is quite narrow. There is a courtesy bus from Bali Collection pick up and drop off hourly most of every day. It is a short 5 min walk to the nearest convenience store.

The bed was so hard, I woke from disturbed sleep feeling bruised. I have no other negative comments.

Great location in Nusa Dua, less than 5 min walk to the beach - they even provide sunbeds. 10/15 min walk to Bali collection and Museum Pacifika or a few minutes by free shuttle. We travelled as a family of 4 and booked 2 rooms - the staff was so kind to provide connecting rooms. The rooms are spacious, our had pool view and a little balcony. Bottles of water and amenities provided. The buffet breakfast was varied and abundant. The staff is kind and attentive and they are really keen to keep the hotel clean. And the pool is so big! Fantastic for swimming. It's great value for its price!

We liked it all

The hotel is close to Nusa Dua beach, the restaurant has nice food. The staff are very helpful. The pool is really nice (I didn’t try it as pools aren’t my thing but it looks great). It’s also close to other beaches, as you get to the beach through the Whiz access if you turn right and keep walking you can visit more beaches by just following the path.

The walls are quite thin, we could hear a child screaming and crying which disturbed our sleep. We didn’t speak to the hotel about it because it would be awkward and they’d know we’d complained. This isn’t really a negative but due to the location it can take longer to get a grab so I recommend start trying 10 mins before you need to leave.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. I was picked up from the airport and it was really easy to find my driver. On the way to the hotel he told me about the area and gave me lots of tips on where to go and what to see. My room was upgraded which was a lovely surprise so I had a ground floor room overlooking the pool area. It was very spacious and well equipped. I had an amazing massage in the spa which I would highly recommend. The breakfasts were delicious and so many options to choose from. Would definitely stay here again

Nothing it was a very relaxing few days

The staffs were super helpful and friendly. The hotel is beautiful, spacious rooms. We booked 3 rooms and got upgrade of 2 rooms. The pool is great, for kids and even adulta doe a real swimming (long maybe 50 m pool). The restaurant and spa with reasonable price. Good food. Just 5-10 min to the beach. Definitely will be back.

As mentioned before by other guests, the mattress was so hard and uncomfortable. I had backache because of that. I am not used with such a mattress. Slow and unstable wifi, would appreciate bikes doe children and bike seat for toddler.

The Whizz is a great place to stay. A few hundred metres walk to shops and moneychangers etc, and a couple of hundred metres to the beach and the Sri Lanka surf spot. Restaurants are walkable but check because many of them have a pick-up and drop-off service. My ground-floor room had a great little balcony for afternoon drinks. And if you are a pool lap swimmer, you are going to love the Whizz. The pool is narrowish but must be 70 metres long. The staff are very accommodating and work hard to keep guests happy.

When we were there the pool restaurant and bar were closed for renovation. The food offered at the other restaurant is pretty restricted.

Good location, walking distance to beautiful Nusa Dua beach. Good variety of breakfast menus. The room are sparkling clean. Big pool. The staffs are very helpful. Affordable room service and laundry. I stayed here twice this year, and they always give me upgraded room.

The beach chairs are too far from the water, they should be put them closer to the water. The view also a bit covered by another beach chair rental there.
