The place and the rooms have a lot of charm, it is a serene and quiet place. The restaurant offers good Indonesian dishes. Perfect location, you feel like in a bubble.

The beautiful garden and the big pool right in front of the villa. Could even swim there at night. Staff was very friendly. It's a peaceful place in the middle of the rice fields and has the atmosphere of a Balinese temple. Big terrace and Balinese pavilion overlooking the garden and rice fields.

Bit of a moldy smell in the villa which probably comes from thatched roof. It gets better when venting the room. Some dirt in the room and on the terrace which didn't get cleaned during my stay. And the mattresses were much too soft for my liking. Toilet flush was not working properly.

This place is just a paradise in the tropical ricefields of Mengwi. Owned by a local noblesse it is located in a traditional village (Indo.: desa adat). The resorts offers you a genuine Bali experience that is gradually vanishing due to the surge of modernity and the influx of foreign infuences. During our stay coincidently the 3 days Odalan Ceremony took place at the local Prime Tempel (Pura Kahyangan Dalem), upon our request the staff helped us with traditional clothing and offering preparation to enable us to fully participate in the 3 days/nights of rituals, processions, dances, prayers and blessings. The breakfast was more than sufficient consisting of Balinesse and Western choices. The restaurant is also open for lunch, even when it is not explicitely mentioned. The dinner menu consists of Western and Balinesse choices as well and is very well prepared. For those who have trouble consuming flaming spicy asian food need not to be afraid of ordering Balinesse food, as the flaming spicy (Indo.: pedas) will come if you request fot it yourself. The Pumpkin and Corn soup are recommended, the kitchen is excelent. Our rooms were located in a valley and a swimming pool.

The whole complex although perfectly clean and continously well kept by staff has signs of aging, as humidity damage on walls and electricity sockets are becomming visible. Probably as most visitors are short stayers it wouldn't be of any nuisance, however it is a pity to see such a great place gradually deteriorating by aging, a small renovation on affected walls and electricity sockets will help this place for years to come.

So peaceful and quiet in the middle of the rice fields. Staff were very friendly. We were upgraded to a suite as my elderly husband didn:t want an outside toilet. This was very kind and made our holiday. The suites overlooking the river and swimming pool, a small walk from the main building, were so comfortable and peaceful. Our waitress, Ayu was charming and so helpful. It is a lovely place to stay in the middle of a local village for peace and quiet after the noise and bustle of Ubud.

The property is located in the beautiful countryside surrounded by rice terraces, rivers, and beautiful plants and trees. It is very well maintained. The pool is magnificent, warm free flowing water, clean. You’re really in the middle of the gorgeous Bali nature. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and clean, decorated in traditional Balinese style furniture. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom is also spacious and has an outdoor shower. The accommodation is really very very comfortable. Most importantly, the stuff is so kind and caring and made our stay even more enjoyable. You feel very well taken care of here. Food is great too. There are many nature trails to wonder between rice fields and experience reality of Bali village day to day life here. I highly recommend this stay, it is an excellent value and a great place to rest and enjoy nature. We extended our stay twice and would have stayed longer if we could.

The staff was super friendly, always helpful and super quick with everything. If you like to be in a remote place in the middle of nowhere - this is your place with a lot of positive energy. I had a Suite which was very spacious and looked out of the pool. It was situated in the lower part of the area and therefore very quiet (besides the noises of nature and geckos you have all over Bali) - I slept like a baby.

If you fancy western standards when it comes to cleanliness, food variety and maintenance work than don't come here or better stay out of Bali.😉

This place is a sanctuary. I needed an escape from my busy life back home and this did the trick. The hotel is quiet and peaceful. It's surrounded with rice paddies and jungle. It's about an hour from Kuta so make sure you have a motorbike or driver. Not many tourists in the area. It's in a small village. Don't expect to be surrounded by tourist attractions, you'll need to travel to Ubud (30mins away) or back onto Kuta for these. Highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a relaxing escape. Take a book, or two.

As with most hotels in regional Bali, you'll need to make some concessions. The occasional insect, frogs etc. But it shouldn't detract from the experience, and it certainly wasn't an issue at this hotel. I mention it only for the benefit of first timers to Bali.

The property, the landscape and the surounding is beautiful and peaceful. The service, especially was exceeded my expectation. Donny, the manager was really helpful and attentive to our needs. He's really going the extra mile. Thank you!

The location is secluded. We knew it, but didn't realize that online transportation was out of reach too! So you need to bring your own or rent transportation for easyness. If you like peace and quiet with beautiful scenery, this is your place!

Het Team was fantastisch ! Super lieve behulpzame personeel. Donny was amazing, he helped us out so much. Communication was great and everyone was so so sweet for our son. The room was down the hill and it was raining much. There was roomservice and laundry service we were completely taken care off.

The bathroom was a little bit outdated the toilet seating was not replaced.

Lovely place. Quite large and private villas, not crowded or noisy, with lots of comfortable places to rest, lots of trees filled with birds, beautiful views around. Staff are attentive and helpful and clean the rooms every day. The food was excellent - best vegetarian nasi goreng I’ve had in Indonesia. Wifi was good. Relaxing place to work online or chill out.
