It is a piece of heaven. It is very very clean, it has an incredible view, an entire “wall” of windows to a wonderful side of Ubud, a pattio and also a small balcony in the back to a small rice field. also from the bathroom the view is perfect. The breakfast is served on a terrace at the 3-rd floor, and is fresh and very very tasty, and the view is also beautiful. The hosts are wonderful and helping people. The house is near the center of Ubud, in 7 minutes you are in the Ubud Market, and very close is a wonderful way throuhg rice fields. I ll definitely stay again here! It is better then in a 5 stars hotel! And the frangipan flowers everywhere…

The only thing is that you have to walk like 200 hundred meters from the main street and in the night could be a little strange, but it is totally safe.

It was super clean! Comfortable bedding and bed! There weren’t mosquitoes in the room as many places in Bali do. I could fully relax there. Also great location, close to everything you need, yet super quiet in the rice paddy fields.

Great location, just 10 minutes walk from the center The staff were so kind and helpful. The room was excellent, had everything a traveller needs: a comfy bed, great ac, small fridge, a kettle, and a balcony with a view! (Yes, even for the low floor!)

The price was on the expensive side. Additionaly, the shower was really good, but they added a decorative element in which the sorounding of it is decorated with stones, which happens to be a great habitat for worms :/ so when you shower, you are in the clear, but around you, some worms emerge... and no one wants to shower with worms. They will not touch you, but you can see them climb the wall.

Eden House was such a special place to stay in Ubud. The room was very clean and comfortable. The family was so welcoming and helpful. The location was perfect: very central to activities and restaurants, a nice quiet retreat after a day of exploring. We enjoyed the fresh breakfast every morning and the beautiful views from our room. I would highly recommend Eden House to any traveler!

The House is off the main road and a bit hidden. You have to go up a steep hill and walk along an alleyway to get to the home's entrance. It wasn't much of a problem, just surprising at first. The family assisted us with our luggage by using scooters to take the bags up/down the hill and to/from the house.

This was my favourite stay in Bali, and perhaps in a long time anywhere. Wayan and his family keep the facility meticulously clean. Even though the jungle is almost growing into the window, we had pretty much zero encounters with bugs. The room was very spacious, with lots of light, and nicely traditionally designed. The bathroom is modern and clean, the beds are comfy, the AC is modern and not very loud (I'm a light sleeper and cannot stand loud ACs). The property is located a bit off the main road, and you only get jungle noise (which I find relaxing - I loved sitting on the balcony and looking at the trees), but little traffic noise is very little. Breakfast is very nice, traditional cooked by the family, with a small selection that is entirely sufficient and very yum!

If you are not on the top floor, you can hear neighbours above walking - but that cannot really be helped. Also we had loud neighbours next door for a few days.

Host and family are quintessential Bali culture. Made us feel like family. Helped us make connections to local sites and activities and went over and above what would be expected. Location a bit off beaten path but in a good way. Quiet, serene, welcoming. Can't say enough about them. Spotless room and site upkeep. Breakfast - did I say Breakfast! Best part of the day, from their rooftop with a view of the surrounding rice fields.

Initial dropoff and approach a bit off-putting. Ally and arrival at night could be a challenge if you haven't been to Ubud. Signage (better). Once you're there you get it. Heads,up for the weary traveler. I don't think I would stay anywhere else though. Love Wayan & Fam.

Eden house has such beautiful rooms, with very comfortable beds and huge bathroom. The location is lovely, overlooking the rice fields but very close to the Main Street. The rooms were made up everyday to a very high standard (clean sheets every day!!) and the family were so lovely and helpful. Breakfast was amazing as well! When I had to leave for the airport very early on my last day, Wayan was up to help me carry my bags AND had made be a take away breakfast 😍. This is a beautiful place to stay - highly recommend!

Very helpful hosts. Lovely property in general, nice architecture. Great location because it's down an almost silent small winding path which is quite atmospheric, yet only a few minutes' walk from the centre of Ubud. Lovely ricefield views. Very diligent cleaning and tidying every day. Tasty breakfast!

Nothing really. Some people might not like having their stuff moved and put in drawers, but I found the tidying aspect welcome. Also, this is not a negative per se, but if you state your breakfast for a certain time, it will be served up around 20-25 minutes later (because they take care to prepare it!) – so one could say hi and appear for breakfast and then temporarily go back to your room for 20 minutes if desired.

Breakfast to order (the day before) on the lovely roof terrace with calming rice field views. The floor to ceiling windows in the bedrooms framing a wall like a beautiful picture of the green natural surrounds outside. The warmth and hospitality of the owners and their staff.

This is minor, but if we were to find one thing, it would be the little walking lane to get to the homestay where we encountered a decently sized snake after the thunderstorm, which flopped off from the greenery beside us into the monsoon drain... we have a rather strong aversion to snakes.

Do NOT pass up booking this stay. We spent 3 weeks traveling in medium budget friendly stays throughout Thailand, Singapore and Bali and this was by FAR our favorite. It’s enough off the beaten path that it feels peaceful and serene, with gorgeous views of the rice fields and lots of trees that make you feel hidden away, but it’s only a 5 minute walk to the Ubud city center and all the hustle and bustle there. The family who hosts is SO sweet. They allowed us to store our luggage when we arrived early, the included breakfast was some of the best food we had in Southeast Asia, and when we had a 3am checkout, they even left us a little cold breakfast to go. They were incredibly thoughtful. The room was so clean and the service each day to tidy our room was amazing. I think someone even folded my clothes for me. The shower is hot and good water pressure plus there is a relaxing stone bathtub. And you get 2 balconies, one off the front and one off the back. If you want a unique stay in the area, with a local family who truly cares about your experience, book this now! We could not have been more happy with our stay.
