The owner and staff were the most pleasant people we have ever met. Nenga - the owner, was so kind as to offer us a complimentary breakfast, and 2 bags of balinese coffee grounds as a goodbye gift. The other staff members - Rathi, Tiwi and others (didn’t catch all their names) were so sweet. On our first night, we sat up at their cafe and had a bottle of Balinese white wine, which was surprisingly nice. Our room was spotless, and I loved being in the middle of the jungle surrounded by nature and chickens.

Nothing really. Shower splashed a bit, but I think they’re working on putting a screen in.

Is a brand new Boutique resort in Ubud and is matched with the tag line of The Compass Rose Ubud, “a true boutique resort experience”. Very friendly staff, comfortable bed, very peaceful and quiet in the night time and feel like in the jungle.

Small road to the property from the main road. Also the pin of The Compass Rose on google map is not right at the moment and need to call the resort upon arrival.

The room was lovely looking out over mature trees. (However we had the Jungle Villa which I would really recommend). The value for money was really great, and we got a lot for our money. The staff were excellent - very friendly and accommodating (especially Bintang, Pebri, Koman, and Made). The general location near Ubud was great, as this part of Bali suits us much more than the resorts or beaches. Generally, this was a great relaxing spot to have our adventures from, with good facilities and lovely staff.

The location was a bit too out of the way - 2-3 km up through firstly a busy road then village roads, and then along a long very rough driveway. (definitely need a motorbike to get around as would be quite isolating otherwise). The pool was nice but a bit weird location right by reception. The restaurant was a bit limited for evening meals.

Lovely property, close to ubud Center. We booked a grab scooter as they seemed to get down the roads easier and quicker than the cars. Also booked taxis for when we came back later on the evening. The road leading to the property is off the track and very narrow so just give the taxi driver a heads up as there is a small ditch on the side of the road that we got stuck in a couple of times. Apart from that it is pretty straightforward to get to and the location is good The staff were amazing!! Very attentive and always asked us where we were going to make sure we made the most of the time at each location. The food was amazing too!! They really made us feel like we were at home. No issue with bali belly or anything, we had ice in our drinks every time and the hotel made sure they only serve drinking water 😊 The rooms were lovely, they were very authentic. I would defiantly recommend to stay here. For the price you really can’t go wrong. We felt very safe and felt sad when it came to leave. Thank you to all the staff!!! You really made out stay 😃

Maybe just the right road getting to the property. Drivers do manage to get down here though and the rest of bali is the same so I wouldn’t say it is something to put you off staying here. It’s easy enough to find.

I love the hospitality and the staff were really attentive and kind. They are literally a whatsapp away. The breakfast served in the room with the green view was top tier as well. The bed was very comfy, had a great selection of cable tv to keep us entertained. The room does have a bit of a musty smell but that's normal for most south east asian countries, so personally I was fine with it. It was very clean as well. I am so glad we chose this place and wished we actually stayed there longer.

Location was a bit further in but the plus point of that is that you avoid the noise in the city. Most of the grab drivers and tour guides are able to navigate their way in despite the narrow lane. I think the restaurant's speed needs to be improved as we waited 1 hour, I think it's faster if you call grabfood. If you are looking for a swim, I don't think the swimming pool will impress you much :).

Very nice place to stay in ubud without breaking the bank , the hotel is really nice and staff are so friendly and helpful, amazing views and room is very well equipped. Although breakfast time is between 6 and 10 AM , the staff were preparing my breakfast at 4 AM cuz am leaving early and bringing it to my room. And on my last day my taxi booking to the airport got cancelled due to some road blockages, but the staff took me to the airport with the hotel car without even asking for any extra charges. It was really amazing

Nothing much to complain about just its a little bit far from the center of the city , and it’s not easy accessible if u r not familiar with the area or riding ur own scooter but it’s perfectly fine if u r taking a CAB

This place is really nice and private. The staff is amazing and they went above and beyond to accommodate us and to make sure our stay was great! It's a bit out the way, but we didn't have any issues using the Grab app for taxis, which are really cheap. It's nice and private, away from the noise of Ubud city centre and the place itself is quite nice and cozy

The location wasn't the greatest, as the entrance is very narrow but we didn't have any issues getting in or out using the Grab app (Uber), and it's still fairly close to everything

Very friendly and attentive service. Fast communication. All needed information was also sent via whatsapp, which was very convenient. Prepared ginger-lemongrass tea for my ill husband. Breakfast was good and delivered to the room. Things to know before: Massage will take place in your room in your bed. We would not have booked massage this way, if we had known in advance, as the relaxation part was missing (no music, no comfortable place to hold your head). Although the massage therapists were good. I personally would suggest to dine out, as there are so many great places around with fantastic food. Restaurant Garlic Butter chicken satay was served quite cold and with not much flavor. My husband had babi kecap and he liked it. It is possible to do your laundry there and is it very convenient. In general we enjoyed our stay.

Great hotel, a nice spa just away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. Beautiful views from your personal balcony, feels like you're in the jungle. We had a massage as well and it was great value for money and they do it in the room for you so very convenient. Staff are lovely

Not a huge amount of variety on the menu, especially if you're vegetarian but the staff go above and beyond to try and please you. The location itself, though not too far away ( a 50 minute walk into town) was hard for taxi's to find and get to. There is a driver associated with the hotel who will look after you but worth noting that if you arrange pickups there may be trouble with them finding you.

It was AMAZING and I really loved every moment of it. The villa is very pretty and comfortable, and everything is approachable from a bike. Coming to the best part, I have travelled across the world but never came across a staff as amazing as the one here. My wife and I literally loved their hospitality and how they went out of their way to help us so many times. Ratih especially is just so so delightful and so is Komang and all other people too. I would recommend it to everyone.

Just the approach road is tricky in the first visit but it's nothing to sweat about.
