The hotel was amazing! The staff were exceptional and welcoming. The location was beautiful. It was peaceful and calm, whilst also being close to town. The shuttle was also really helpful. The facilities were fantastic, the menu was varied and delicious and the spa was lovely. The room was very comfortable and spacious and the pool was lovely. Everything was amazing and we'd happily come back and stay again! We also had the best half day tour arranged by the hotel. Ardika was our driver (works at the hotel) and he was the best! Such a lovely guy and very funny. He is genuinely an asset to the hotel and is so kind. A lady slipped over at the rice field and got some mud on her, he stopped and helped her to clean up, truly a lovely guy! He listened to us and took us to where we wanted to go. Absolutely fantastic!

The only thing I'd love to see more of would be Indonesian and Balinese food on the menu. Otherwise, it's perfect!

Beautiful scenery and setting, so lovely to hear the sounds of the jungle. Really good food and good service. Amazing massages. Beautiful private pool and spacious comfortable room.

There are many unused spaces, like the bottom terrace which gets a lot of sun. We had to move our sunlounger cushions down there to get any sun as the pool area was in shade, so would suggest they put some sun loungers on that terrace. Also, there was pool maintenance and general cleaning/maintenance activities around the pool areas a lot of the time which put us off spending time there. The spa area was beautiful but they charged for use of the jacuzzi, even when you had paid for a spa treatment which felt a little excessive. Would suggest that for people that have booked a spa treatment they are allowed to use the jacuzzi for free. It is a little far from town but the shuttle bus made it easy to get in. They could provide a later pick up time from town than 8.30pm.

Nestled in a river valley, Sebali offers a quiet escape far from busy city's noises. The sound of crickets, birds, cicadas and waterfalls even override construction noises from their unfinished section of the resort. Hassle-free checkin and checkout. Hospitable staffs. Room is quite spacious and clean. They provide shuttle service to and from Downtown Ubud.

There's no fridge in the villa. Our villa has a big tree with fruits keep falling on our roof and poolside. Since poolside are open with no cover - we can't enjoy the outside without being hit by all the falling branches and fruits. Also, a nice outdoor sofa would be great.

This resort is the Bali dream. The location is just outside the traffic of town, so it’s quick to get places but serene. The grounds are impeccably maintained, with beautiful foliage and florals lining every step. We stayed in a valley-view pool room, and it was spectacular. The suite was beautiful inside and out, and the views from the pool at sunset were lovely. The food was great, and the service was top-notch. The staff responded almost immediately to every question I had before we arrived, during our stay and after we left. They arranged anything we needed within moments, and were always kind and professional. I would recommend this resort to anyone. It provided us a relaxing, luxurious stay.

No complaints from us! My husband said he would have enjoyed a pool bar, but I don’t know that it would really match the tranquil vibe. The hotel’s shared pool isn’t really in direct sun, either, which may make it colder. We didn’t use it because we had a pool in our room, which got direct sunlight.

Everything! The resort itself and our villa was all absolutely incredible and very well kept and cleaned, the food was delicious and had a great variety of Indonesian food and western food if you fancy changing it up, the service was fantastic and the staff make you feel like honoured guests but also as comfortable as if staying with family. The location of the resort was perfect to enjoy some peaceful downtime in between our trips around the jungle or into Ubud town centre. Literally cannot recommend enough, and will take some serious convincing to stay anywhere else in Ubud whenever we return. The staff were so so helpful, warm and kind and were eager to do anything they could to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

There honestly was nothing we could possibly complain about.

it’s very luxurious and romantic resort, tucked into the side of a valley covered in jungle. It would have to be the most romantic place we have ever stayed in. The on-site restaurant served great meals. This is also a very well located resort if you want to undertake tours of the country side of Bali.

if I have to say something that I didn’t like, it would be the amount of stairs. But it really didn’t worry us, although I could see how other people might be concerned.

Everything, but the best is the service provided. The ladies at reception were so friendly and even greeted me by name when I would walk through. The room itself is absolutely beautiful and the resort feels like a forest paradise whilst only being a short distance to the centre of Ubud. The swimming pool was also the perfect temperature and so nice to go into after a day of exploring.

Absolutely nothing

We loved our stay at The Sebali! From the moment we arrived we were treated so well and the friendly staff couldn't do enough for us . Beautiful clean and spacious room Quiet picturesque setting Lovely spa-best massage I've ever had!

Bed could've perhaps been a bit more comfortable A good 20 min drive out of Ubud but the shuttle was handy and taxis weren't expensive

Set amongst the lush, tropical jungle it is so easy to escape the busy hustle and bustle of the streets of Bali. This exclusive resort only has a small number of rooms available so a lot of the time it feels like you have the whole place to yourself. Beginning with a flight cancellation from Jetstar, Hastari (without having to be asked) simply amended our booking so we were not charged for the additional night. Yogi, one of the staff members and locals to Tegallalang, had endless suggestions of activities to do and arranged transport everywhere on our behalf. Not once were we stranded, nor faced a lengthy wait to be picked up/dropped off. This is my first of many trips to Bali where it felt like an actual authentic experience – away from all of the other tourists and westernised aspects to the Island. Srina and her colleagues in the Spa offer nothing short of a 5 star service. Having a read of the other comments, I think a lot of the negative reviews paint an unfair representation of this new and upcoming resort. For example, if you feel Sebali is too far from the beach then perhaps book accommodation on the coast – not in the mainland jungle. Or if you find the waterfall too loud, simply book a room further away or utilise the complimentary earplugs provided to you – all very clearly outlined on Sebali’s description. I could not recommend better accommodation in Bali. Breathe the fresh jungle air, completely relax and unwind, enjoy the sites of Ubud and have a true and authentic taste of Balinese life. A special thanks to Putu for the amazing private yoga and meditation classes (they were so amazing even my husband who does not do yoga joined in several times). And special thanks to Hastari, Ayu, Srina (and all the spa ladies), Yogi, Gede, Made and of course the amazing business owners who have made the Sebali Resort come to life.

Cannot fault this place.
