The room was spotless and the location is in the centre of the town next to the shopping centre. Staff were really nice and there was adequate parking that we were able to keep the car in after check out while we popped into the shopping centre! Great location for shopping in Athlone or if you need to be really central. Towels and toiletries were provided also and were a good standard.

It was expensive for what it was! I think if you are going to call yourself a B & B then breakfast should be a given and not an additional extra! We paid €160 for one night which was expensive and more of a hotel price! The rooms are not sound proof so we could hear the neighbours snoring but thankfully we're heavy sleepers and they weren't too loud.

The location and privacy of the room was more than adequate for the time that I had spent in the room. The location was similar to where I had stayed in the last time that I had been in Athlone, and is very central to the town. While my standards for walkability are wildly different than most people's (I wouldn't decline a walking trip to Roscommon, for example), I felt like the town as a whole had a very accessible vibe and the location of this hotel was very conducive to that ideal.

In the room, I felt like the use of a stool rather than a chair at the desk thing with the mirror was a small detraction. For a solo traveler that may be hoping to get some work done on a project on a rainy day, back support would have been a major plus over what was present.

The best thing was the manger, Mohammed. He made absolute certain that our trip was comfortable (including providing gluten-free bread-Thanks for that), he was there when we needed help with the door lock, and we found him to be profession, friendly, approachable. Not just an excellent worker, but an excellent human being. Everything else was good. The laundry machines were greatly appreciated.

I can't really think of anything. Everything was very good in terms of shelter, breakfast, safety, comfort and provisions. Being from out of the country (Canada), there were some appliances that needed some figuring out, but that was easy enough.

We stayed at Arch house for one night this week. We had been travelling for a while and this was one of the best places we stayed. The location is excellent and close to all Athlone has to offer. There is free on site parking. The room was very comfortable and quiet at the back of the house. We had a lovely welcome from Maureen and her team. The breakfast was delicious and cooked fresh and there was plenty of choice. We will definitely stay here again, highly recommended. Thanks to all at Arch House.

Nothing

We had a couple of issues at the start bug I have to say that these were rectified so fast it was amazing. The staff were excellent and I have nothing but praise for Arch House. Would I recommend staying here - in a heartbeat Superb location as well for both the town and the surrounding areas. Thank you for a superb stay.

Nothing, the whole experience is what you dream of receiving

Walkable, central location, not far from park, train station and downtown. Very spacious apt with the comforts of home. Had extra bed. Great daily service. Secure entrance. Easy check in and out with excellent demonstration of apt and how everything worked. Excellent value for money. Athlone is steeped in history. Worth the visit to this quaint town.

It could use a drying clothes rack.

We parked near the main office, but the apartment was a little ways down the street. Everything was still very walkable, so not an issue. The rooms were spacious and there were two separate bathrooms. Rooms were nice and clean.

We had an issue with the hot water not working in one of the bathrooms. Also, the included washer/dryer was a combined washer/dryer that was disappointingly inefficient. It took about 4 hours for one small load of laundry to dry. We ended up having to walk to an outdoor laundromat to do the rest of our party's laundry. I specifically rented this room for the included laundry, so if you're looking for that, just be aware you'll need a full day to take advantage of it.

Good location, windows that open, nice shower, friendly hosts. We didn't have breakfast there.

Loose toilet seat. Small leak from shower. Poor soundproofing from apt 3. Would be even better if the nice porcelain tea cups were larger; and if there was a small fridge (which would also be good as the missing table).

Just back from our 2 nights stay in the Arch house B&B while we attended a wedding locally what a fantastic place to stay couldn't recommend a better place to stay we where welcomed by a lovely lady(apologies I didn't get her name) who allowed us to park in the driveway right next to the accommodation because the carpark was full at the back. Bedrooms/en-suite were clean and bed was nice and big and really comfy. Had breakfast both morning full irish absolutely delicious which was prepared by Mohammed he is a fantastic host and went above and beyond with looking after my fiancee and I,a absolute gentleman. Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone.

Could not fault one thing loved our stay

Very good room! right in the middle of town so was very helpful- really liked the fact there was no curfew.

We didn’t have netflix on our tv as it said online but we ended up just using our phones so made no difference really!
