We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very comfortable. The staff is kind, polite and helpful. They gave us good tips for activities around the hotel. The hotel lobby is very cozy, with a beautiful fireplace : it's the perfect place to sit back and relax peacefully. The breakfast buffet was very good, there was a lot of different options that will satisfy everyone. In terms of location, the hotel is located in Clifden so you can easily walk to restaurants and pubs. You can also park your car at the SuperValue car park for free and it's just across the street from the hotel. The hotel is also very close to the beautiful sky road and its an easy drive to the Connemara National Park. Overall our stay was perfect and it was a great deal. We highly recommend and would definitely come back if we're ever in the region again.

Complete refurbishment since we last visited. We were upgraded to a superior room as was my birthday 8th February.Beautiful room.Continental breakfast only but was sufficient with a great choice.Staff were fabulous as always.Loved the bar area, really comfortable and a lovely lounge area in the entrance, very welcoming.Great location on the square in Clifden. Will be back very soon as a real home from home and only a short drive from Westport!
A better selection of wine. Only had one choice of white wine. However they had only just reopened so maybe that was the reason.

Hotel was great central location in the town and great base for seeing Connemara. Rooms were very comfortable. As per other reviews breakfast was cold/continental breakfast but we found it perfect and quite substantial, there was plenty of cereals, pastries, toast, boiled eggs and pancakes. Staff were extremely helpful, receptionist gave great advice for restaurants nearby. Breakfast staff were extremely nice and pleasant. I’d definitely stay here again.
heating controlled centrally and it was very warm. Corridors were really hot and room was very warm although we could open the window so better than being too cold!

Loved the location -- premier real estate. Excellent breakfast choices. I was enamored with the framed posters on the wall that captured throughout the years the promo poster for an annual festival, very artistic. really appreciated being able to park right across the street in a safe lot.
The building is a bit old and thus you had to wait for a while after one person flushed the toilet. but this is nothing when considering the location is ideal.

hotel is lovely, clean and welcoming. But the staff really make the place. So friendly that they really make you feel at home. Nothing is too much trouble . To mention a few, Lisa at the front desk (a pure font of knowledge, anything you want to know, she’s your girl), Pat in the bar, (apparently a renowned golfer among these parts and also makes great popcorn) Ainess and James, two excellent and chatty bar tenders, great crack. Rooms were spotless upstairs thanks to Alexandra and another tall black haired lady. Both very friendly and obliging. Will definitely be back
temporarily with out a full restaurant. no lift but I was warned in advance so we got around that. it is what it is.

A true Irish welcome is given to you at this hotel. From the minute we checked in till we left we received absolutely wonderful service. Everyone was so helpful and the food and the room was lovely. The breakfast was a perfect continental spread which exceeded our expectations. I must mention James Joyce the barman who makes the best cosmopolitan cocktail in Ireland. He was such a lovely person and so helpful. A definite must stay if you are in Clifden.

Location is very central. Hotel is clean and staff lovely. On our first night we were in a room where a loud fan started at 6am and woke us. The staff moved us to another room the next day.
I was very disappointed that there was no cooked breakfast included. It was a cold buffet only. We weren't made aware of this at check in or on booking.

The location was smack bang in the middle of Clifden. There was off street overnight parking in the SuperValu across the street. The staff was absolutely incredible. James in particular was very welcoming and incredibly helpful. The Big English man was great fun too although I can't remember his name due to the amount of pints he sold me.
There was no lift / elevator. The room had just been painted so there was a bit of a smell. That's it.

Breakfast was exceptional, the room was lovely and very comfortable. Most of all the staff, especially Lisa! She was friendly, accommodating and helpful. When a member of our party became injured walking in the town and Lisa was helpful in referring us for medical care, and assisted the remaining members of our party. She certainly went above and beyond!
Everything was great.

We got a room on the first floor, windows faced to the back. Rooms are bright, beds were comfortable, possibility to make your own coffee or tea. Fresh towels available for request. Staff was absolutely friendly. Great location. Great breakfast with a variety of choice (note: No Irish Breakfast available but we don't mind it.) Only two floors in the building, so there is no lift in the property. We received all the relevant information from the hotel before our arrival, we were really delighted with our stay.
