Spacious n comfortable room with nice view of the garden. The breakfasts were fantastic and delicious. We got the table near the window and enjoyed the bay views. Services were courteous and timely. Convenient and nice parking in front of the hotel. The lounges and sunroom are very nicely decorated. It's definitely a nice place to stay for a couple of days or more.

The dinner prices are very high compared to those in town. We usually like to eat at the hotel but we ended up having dinner at two very nice restaurants in town. The bathroom floor is very slippery with water on the floor. With a small sink, the water often splashed out to the floor. We have to wipe the floor dry for our own safety.

Delicious breakfast. Didn't have time to visit restaurant but if the breakfast was anything to go by - it'll be excellent.I think that they have made the absolute best of what is a slightly old fashioned structure to make it a very warm, friendly and comfortable place to base your holiday. (Beautiful location) Met Bruce, the dog. 😊

This hotel was exceptionally nice, attentive staff, a warm and friendly atmosphere. It felt more like a country home than a hotel, with the comfortable welcoming lounges. The bedroom was lovely and comfortable, very quiet. The dinner was superb, fish a speciality and the breakfast was also excellent . This is a dog friendly hotel so it was nice to see a few 4 legged guests, though you would hardly notice them as they fit right in and suited the comfortable lounge. Enjoyed an evening drink with a beautiful sea view sunset. Highly recommend this hotel.

No complaints at all!

The food was delicious and all ingredients are sourced locally, even some from their garden. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The views of Connemara are stunning. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The little sticky toffee puddings at arrival was a nice surprise.

It's not suitable for those with walking difficulties as there are a few sets of stairs and no lift available. The standard rooms are a little small but still have all the facilities and it did the job for us for 1 night.

The breakfast was superb. Table service with a good variety of choices all cooked to order. The breakfast room has great sea views that change all year round. The hotel has some beautiful common spaces and the turf fire in the lounge area is very welcoming. Common areas were nicely furnished. The hotel bar is Cosy. The restaurant is highly rated but we didn't use it. Don't miss the Sky Road when in Clifden. Incredible views.

The rooms were smaller than average.

Wonderful location with breathtaking views from the bar & restaurant. Staff were very friendly helpful & attentive without being intrusive. Thankyou for making us feel at home. Food was mouth-wateringly delicious. especially the fish dishes. Good wine selection. Spotlessly clean. Although our room didn't have a sea view the manicured gardens still retained their Irish wilderness. Will definitely be back

The Ardagh Hotel is exceptional its such a homely relaxed and fantastic experience. From the lovely greeting you get with even the kettle been put on for us to the gorgeous meal in the restaurant to the fabulous breakfast the next morning. The scenic views are excellent and the lovely Bruce the dog made is very special. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and definitely we will be back.

Very quiet property with a superb view over the water. Well located close to Clifden. Nice lounge for evening drinks and a few chairs in the garden to enjoy the sunset. Breakfast was good and with sufficient choice. Friendly staff and warm welcome from the hotel dog.

There are no pedestrian path along the road from the property, with still a bit of traffic so walking around seems not so safe.

My wife and I were in Ireland for 11 days, each day a different lodging. Ardagh was by far the best of the lot. I know the rating only goes to 10, but this place is in a league of its own....a 20 as far as I am concerned. Friendly staff, wonderful location, great breakfast, clean. Sadly we did not get to eat dinner as we had other commitments.

Wish we could have stayed longer.

The hotel is quirky, interesting, comfortable and has a very special ambiance. The food is exceptional. We were seated at a table at a window overlooking the bay, watching the magnificent sunset. Staff were fantastic. It was an absolute pleasurable experience. Only downfall was we had booked in for just 1 night

We were there for only one night
