The rooms were Lovely. The kids club is excellent, supervised activities for children from 4pm to 9pm daily which doesn't even include the bouncy castle in the swimming pool which is daily between 4 and 5 in half hour slots, we went each day of our stay, staff were fantastic and kids enjoyed their time in the pool immensely. Food in bar restaurant was lovely and service was generally great, standard enough hotel pricing.

Really not much to complain about, breakfast just not 10/10 but almost there, fried eggs a must for us but took a wee while, possibly need more staff as is very very busy and staff once again are excellent and attend as quickly as they possibly can, not really a complaint but as I say not quite 10/10.

Beautiful old building and setting. Many nice areas to sit and have a drink or a coffee downstairs. We had a family suite, generous rooms, lovely shower and extremely comfortable beds. The buffet breakfast is fabulous and for €15 for adults and €7.50 for kids, brilliant value compared to what you would get in a cafe. The hotel also appears to he very well staffed particularly at breakfast time which was very busy the weekend we were there. Lovely friendly staff. Particular mention to Pavil, a very helpful and pleasant barman.

We had left a full clean my room sign on the door but when we came back the bed had not been changed, only badly made, no restocking done and we still had dirty glasses , cups and towels. When we said it to reception someone came up straight away to clean the room and a manager called in person shortly afterwards to check it had been done.

friendly staff at the hotel and at the pool the facilities: pool, mini-golf, size of the family suite great breakfast

no dishes in the room although it was equipped with a kitchenette and a dining area we had diner in the Bar and Bistro and it was a disaster: 1) the waitress forgot to send our order to the kitchen, 2) the starter and the main course from the children's menu were noted as adult dishes and charged as such. At the time of the addition, I expressed my surprise. The waitress offered to remove the starters from our bill but kept our son's entree at the adult price because that was what he had been served! In the end: 2 hours to eat with children who were no longer hungry and an inadmissible bill.

I love this hotel, it was our second time staying here. Great location, not far from town with good bus links. It's peaceful and quiet and a great spot for the kids. The pool is very nice, the hotel lobby is very cosy and lovely to sit in especially during the evenings. The breakfast was really good and also the food in the bar was tasty. The staff are friendly, especially during breakfast and at the reception. The room is big with comfy beds.

The big let down was the fact that the room was not very clean when we arrived. The mirrors still had handprints and marks on them from the previous guests, the sink in the kitchen area was dirty so was the counter and the microwave. The toilet was not cleaned properly. The carpets had loads of stains on them and they definitely need a change or a deep clean. Also the showers in the changing aread at the club vitae were not clean and there was mould on the doors.

staff was very friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcomed. breakfast delicious, very good variety of options. Nice area for breakfast as well. dinner very good and staff was very very nice (good advises about non alcoholic options). room very comfortable and big, clean. A lot of common area where you could sit and relax (outside of room). Gorgeous area around hotel

in such a big hotel, maybe it would be worth thinking about putting somewhere bins for plastic/paper ect, glass and then general waste. splash not in all toilets (general use) was working properly. as people use pool few times during their stay, it would be good to install clothes dryer (for swimming suits).

Nice hotel friendly staff and very clean. Very spacious rooms The bar is nice and good food and drinks are served Fab cocktails

The room was very big and clean but looked a bit run down . Carpet was stained and very old looking. There are lots of vending machine for kids but could not change money for the 2 euros coins neither at the bar or at the pool or at the sweet shop. Pity becouse my kids would have love t spend their money there. Breakfast was nice but only 1 cofee machine and a large group of French tourist make it impossible to get the coffee for such a big hotel an extra couple of machine would have been ideal.or else serve tea and coffee at the table instead of using only 1 machine and having people queueing or skipping the queue and arguing for a cup of coffee. It was very uncomfortable

Staff were lovely, rooms were spacious and clean

Unfortunately the desserts were cold, drink was spilt by a member of staff all over me and although he apologised it wasn't cleaned up and I was left to do it. The changing rooms in the leisure centre were being painted, the smell was awful and there was no notices up that there was a man in there, it made it very uncomfortable trying to change myself and 2 daughters when there are no cubicles. Teenagers playing volleyball in the pool and they were very rough, it took a long time for any member of staff to say anything to them.

rooms were huge and very clean, Bathroom modern and spotless, Staff very frindly and couldn't do enough for you. Pool was excellent, and the gym adiquate to work up a sweat. Food in the resturant was top draw without being over priced, As was the Guinness. very nice. WIFI signal very good, no drop and strong signal enough to get work done,

Be aware this is a huge hotel, not a fault but could be a long trek to your room, the corridors go on & on & on. (Like going to the bathroom in a Wetherspoons) TV signal in my room was limited if thats your go to. but with a strong WIFI and laptop, no issue with netflix or Prime, only 2 coffee sachets but just asked for more, Not a not to dislike and certainly not worth complaining about !!,

On arrival the drive up to hotel is beautiful, stunning building with lovely gardens etc. its on the outskirts of Sligo which suited us fine. We have 2 kids, a 1 year and 3 year old. The staff were super helpful and we got an early check in which was great as our 1 year old needed a nap. There's a great area downstairs for kids which lots to keep the kids busy and a mini golf area outside. There's also a kids club I think it ran from 4pm, so for families I would recommend the hotel. The swimming pool was great but we got a pleasant surprise when the staff blew up a huge inflatable water fun run when we happened to be at the pool. We ate lunch and dinner at the bar/bistro and the food was excellent.

There's so much to love about this hotel..the location, staff, food and facilities for kids but unfortunately the hotel / rooms are really in bad need of a refresh. The main hotel areas are ok but the hallways, doors, rooms are a bit worn and tired. Our room had a funky smell. The lampshades were all sideways and the bathroom did't have fan to extract the steam. It was a bit cold too and there wasn't a panel to adjust the heating.

Overall the hotel was nice, facilities good (although the swimming pool a bit dated: no seating available, bathing cap mandatory), rooms quite large, but bathrooms quite small. Staff in the restaurants/at reception very nice and understanding. Kids club was great! Minigolf.

Especially housekeeping staff not up to par. Unclear when they would clean (even with sign on the door), often not cleaned properly. Really does not do justice to the hotel.
