The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were comfortable and clean with amazing views of the surrounding mountains, the food however was excellent. While the hotel is 3* the food is 5*.

The hotel was a little too far to be able to walk into Aosta and the hotel is right on a main road which can be a little noisy as traffic is fast. This was not a problem during the night but day and evening only. I dont consider this a major issue as it was not really much of a problem but the photos on the website dont give any indication.

The property was very clean and as we were travelling with a dog it was really handy to have the outdoor staircase just outside our bedroom which enabled us to go in and out without disturbing other residents.

Perfectly positioned for us, stuff were very cordial and accommodating, room spacious and clean. Excellent restaurant on site.

I have already written about this fabulous place. For me and my family it is one of the best hotels and restaurants in Europe. All is perfect, from the elegantly furnished rooms with great views, all comforts and very spacious, to the exceptional food and service in the restsurant. What can I say more? Well, perhaps I can add something about the passion that the people who work there show in everything they do. Le Charaban is a place run with passion, and that makes it even more special. Do not miss the opportunity to visit the restaurant and/or stay at this unique place!

A small family run hotel on the edge of town, uphill and on the edge of a small, neat suburban estate - with views towards the mountains. Welcoming staff, with good clean comfortable room. Excellent dinner and a good breakfast. Recommended as a base for a night or two visiting Aosta and the nearby National Park. Easy onsite parking.

The room was clean and of a good size, and so was the bathroom. The views are beautiful. The linen was good and the mattress and pillows were very good. Breakfast was excellent. I would add that the dinner was very good. Le Charaban offer excellent value for money.

The location, near a busy roundabout, with occasional loud traffic and no pavements for a safe relaxed walk.

I have stayed in this hotel before. It is a lovely, comfortable family run hotel. Both the owner and staff were most welcoming and friendly which made our stay very enjoyable. We had a superb, quality meal in the evening with some fine wine (and grappa). Breakfast was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel as a place to stay......I certainly plan to vist again the future.

Nothing to fault

The location of the hotel was excellent. We found the owners so helpful and obliging. The owners offered to run our party down to the town and then collect us later that evening.

Nothing to dislike, a very enjoyable experience. We would revisit if we are looking for accommodation in the area.

The restaurant, the balcony and view, the space outside. The lift was handy as were the outside stairs to the carpark. The bar area comfortable and choice of local products excellent. Home made dried orange slices were delicious but notavailable to buy.

Googlemaps made finding it stressful and complicated: simple emailed directions would be handy. The lights on the stairs went off . The bedroom lighting was not perfect.

Beautiful views from private balcony of mountains and neighbouring properties; friendly, helpful staff who assisted me with my luggage; clean rooms, beautiful cappuccinos; easy parking out front; quaint atmosphere and lifts.

lovely property in Aosta! plenty of available parking. a very short drive to the main town area. the rooms were nicely appointed. it was clear that thought went into the amenities. plenty of towels in different sizes, beverages, extra toilet paper, mini fridge, extra pillows. it was very thoughtful and convenient.

the only thing we would have changed would be to have softer beds. the beds were firm for us; but could be fine for others.
