A convenient location of the hotel was very handy - just a 10 min walk to the city centre, train station and a 15 min ride to the BGY Airport. The breakfast was amazing - big selection of deliciously prepared food. It filled us up for the rest of the day. We especially liked the variety of sweet and savoury dishes - whether you prefer croissant or bacon and eggs for breakfast you will find the option that satisfies your preferences. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were super clean and neat. Also, it was very kind of the staff to present the guests with a bottle of prosecco and a card on the New Year’s eve! A small but sweet gesture. Thank you Hotel Citta Dei Mille!

It would be nice to have a small kettle in the room to make tea or coffee.

From the lovely welcome at reception through to my check out, my whole stay here was perfect. The room was well laid out with a mini bar and good television. The whole hotel is very beautiful - check out the lobby area! The breakfast was perfect for me - hot sausage and egg, doughnut and fruit salad with plenty of coffee on hand. The manager and his staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would recommend Citta dei Mille for a stay in Bergamo.

Just bear in mind, its a little out of the centre, so is a 15-20 min walk away from both the train station and to the main street Papa Giovanni that leads to Citta Alta. If you like walking (as I do) then no problem and it's easy for an Uber or Bolt.

This hotel was super clean and we loved that it was traditional. The mini bar in the room was very convenient for us because we arrived on a late flight and didn’t stop for water etc. The prices were great for a hotel. The cheapest I’ve seen. Would definitely return. The breakfast in the morning was amazing. Something for everyone’s tastes. We didn’t need to eat anything until later in the evening.

Only one gripe…. No tea or coffee facilities in the room. Maybe it’s just me !!! But I do enjoy a cuppa whilst getting ready to face the world. It may not bother others though because there is a good supply when down at breakfast.

Friendly, 24h reception. Easy check-in. My room was ready slightly earlier than expected, with no additional cost. This hotel is very pretty, the room and bathroom were nice, clean, well equipped and comfortable. Very close to the airport.

I was checking out early, before the breakfast buffet usually starts. I asked several people multiple times if I could get a packed breakfast or a snack to go. I even emailed them twice about it. They assured me it wouldn't be a problem, and that I could get a croissant. However, after all that, I was only offered a coffee (which was nice, but not what I expected). I suffer from strong car sickness, especially when traveling on an empty stomach. Had I been informed in advance, I would have bought myself a snack for the morning.

Breakfast was good for starting the day. Rooms were clean and big. Location was perfect. Hotel has a parking and the area with restaurants is 5-7 minutes on foot. Highway is close to location. We were on our way to France and we stayed only for one night. In the morning we spent 3 hours visiting the old town and then we continued our way to France. There is a petrol station just across the hotel. Be aware that in Italy you can take petrol self-service or to be served for a fee. About 0.2 EUR per litter.

The location was perfect for me to go to shops, restaurants, to see my friends who lives there, and of course to explore the city and walk to Citta Alta. The room was clean and has the essentials what I need. Also, the staffs are very friendly and helpful. This must my choice if the next time I visit again.

The only thing that would have been better if the room could be a bit brighter, because the lights were quite dim at the nighttime. I think because it was very quiet so I could hear the next room or the rooms that's near mine open and close their electric curtain.

I booked this hotel for just one night, my flight was expected to arrive late at night, and I had a train to catch the next day. I stayed for less than half a day, so I have little to say about the hotel and the surroundings. But I can say that the staff was very helpful. My flight was delayed. I arrived at the airport around 3 am, and there were no taxis. I called the hotel, and they kindly helped me to figure out my situation (interesting fact: if you call Bergamo taxi companies, they cannot go to the airport...). I arrived late and tired, and the room was clean and exactly like the photos, I had a short time to rest, but a good one. The breakfast was also good. I would come back.

The staff are wonderful - they couldn't do any more to make me feel welcome. From the first greeting to the final farewell, every single person was friendly and kind. The location is around a 10/15 minute walk from the town centre but there is a bus stop 5 minutes away that will take you into Citta Bassa and also up into Citta Alta.

A bit more information on what was available as part of room service and maybe the option of some snacks to buy. There were terrible thunderstorms on my first night and there aren't any restaurants really close by so would have been nice to have the option to purchase even some crisps in house.

The room was quite big for the value we paid. The bathroom was clean but the room needs a carpet change and some wall painting. We had a fridge and a locker which was very good. The staff was ok, good level of english and kind. Very good breakfast.

Even though it is a hotel they don't have a card system for entering in the room, just a classic key with a very huge and heavy key ring. We had to leave the key every time we left the hotel. The hotel is near the train station which is good, but the area is a bit sketchy at night (a lot of emigrants, some drunk). Wall painting and carpet was a bit dirty.

I missed my flight due to huge and slow queue to Security Check at Bergamo Airport. So I booked a new flight and this hotel for the week-end as it had good reviews and location. This hotel is of old-fashioned style but really well renovated and beautiful inside. Personnel is very active and talented. Breakfast quality is well above average level for this kind of fair-priced hotel. I had one-person room at the highest 7th floor. That room is small but it has good view from own balcony. There is constant traffic and airplane noise outside but it all vanishes when you close the balcony door or bathroom window. There is also a minibar hidden under the writing table, I found that just when I was leaving! Location is about 900 meters by walk from railway station or 2,5 kilometers from Funicolare Bergamo - Città Alta. From BGY airport the distance is 4...5 km (by car or walk). I had much time left when leaving Bergamo so I walked to the airport with my small backpack. Took about 1h. (Of course there is airport bus connection between airport and Bergamo city center. At the airport go to platform 1, ticket price at the ticketing machine there is 3€. Fastest to buy with a card using NFC. At Bergamo center the bus station is located near the train station). And if you really have excess time, visit the huge Oriocenter opposite to the airport!

Just one small elevator. Often long waiting times. The elevator itself is gorgeous!
