Reception staff were great and breakfast was very good too... and I liked the coffee. Parking on the back of the property is very handy, however it needs to be booked in advance! This is still a better option than trying to find parking on the street as the hotel is in the restricted car zone, i.e. only cars with permits are allowed. If you park at the hotel, they will arrange this for you. Location is great too - it is in the centre and in a the university part of it. If you need somewhere very quiet, this is not for you. If you are looking for a bit of life, then this location is superb.

We had an extremely pleasant stay at Hotel Accademia. It’s central location was ideal and allowed us to wander easily around Bologna. Breakfast was plentiful with local delicacies and both our room and the communal areas of the hotel were clean and comfortable. Above all, however, the staff were friendly and accommodating, encouraging us to use Italian when we could, but also fully fluent in English as needed. We would definitely recommend this hotel for those visiting la Citta Rossa!

The room was a little compact, but we got used to it. Other than that everything was fine.

Clean and quiet 3 star Hotel at the city centre, located within walking distance from the city's main attractions as well as from the train station. The bed in the single room I stayed at was comfortable and there was no external noise even though there are restaurants and bars not far from the accommodation. The staff was helpful and polite. Everything in the room and the common areas was in good condition and felt newish and I think the photos don't do this hotel justice. Good quality towels and toiletries are provided. The breakfast buffet was excellent... unless you are into English breakfast. Rich selection of fresh pastry, both sweet and savoury. Very good espresso. In general what seems to be somewhat overpriced upon booking, turned out to be value for money.

The shower cabin was tiny and I'm not exaggerating. If you are a.big person it will be impossible to have a shower. I don't know if other rooms in the hotel have larger shower cabins. There is no elevator. You will need to climb the stairs to the first or second floor every time.

Great location, hotel was comfy and clean, breakfast was great, overall good value for money. The staff overall were very pleasant and helpful. The staff member on reception in the morning was very rude, none customer focus and had an issues with our ethnicity. He could do with some diversity and inclusion training or needs to find a job where customer service and inclusion is not paramount.

We stayed at Hotel Academia for a night (family of three) before leaving for our road trip to Tuscany. The location of the hotel is excellent, within the historic center of the town and a 5min walk from the Two Towers. The staff was excellent, very welcoming and happy to help us with anything we needed for our stay. They provided directions for site-seeing, helped with parking our car, and even gave us an umbrella when it started raining seconds before going out for a stroll. Breakfast was also very good, with plenty of options and, as expected, excellent coffee!

This is a historic building and as expected sound proofing is not great, but not as bad as other comments here might have you think. We only heard some water running through the pipes and some distant voices. Nonetheless, we had a great sleep through the night.

It is really well equipped, really nice and really clean. Breakfast is great! Staff is really nice. It is in the centre and for that price is really good.

I felt really scared, I stayed alone and someone kept knocking at my door at 5am and it was really lound and strong and someone tried to get into my room. I felt scared to the bones I mean the staff should probably like watch who enters the building I felt really offended and scared and then it happened 10min later again. I dont know who that was but I am a girl from a foreign country and I was really scared so BIG MINUS TO THAT.

I liked that it was close to Bologna Centrale, the train station, easy to get around to the main attractions, the two towers are wonderful and a sight to behold. Bologna is a beautiful city. Breakfast here is plentiful and satisfies. I enjoyed my stay thanks to the incredible staff, they go above and beyond. The ladies working there are true professionals, lovely smiles and kind, they made me feel like at home. I definitely recommend this place.

No elevators/lift but the staff will assist as necessary.

Front desk staff all friendly. Pretty central for walking & going out to eat but was a bit far to walk from train station with our bags. Someone at desk 24/7 & had taxi there within 5 min. of requesting. Had quad room, 2 teens & husband/I, beds were comfortable & good size for a quad room. Had no noise issues.

AC was almost non existent. Was on & blowing in our room but not blowing cold air, was more like a fan that you could not feel so made it warmer than we would have liked.

Staff were always friendly, cheerful and very helpful. They carried my case up the flight of stairs without being asked. That doesn't happen often I have found. Great location, close to centre and lots of restaurants. Room was very large and comfortable. AC worked well. Windows blocked out all street noise so with blackout curtains I had an undisturbed sleep. Breakfast was normal European breakfast, lots of fresh fruit.

Firstly the staff were so helpful and welcoming especially the lady (I’m sorry I don’t remember her name!) who carried my suitcase up to my room after I popped out to get some water after checking in. The breakfast had a lot to choose from and coffee too. The location couldn’t have been any better nestled among restaurants, the old university and Jewish quarter and a short stroll through historic streets to the towers and Neptune’s statue.
