The staff were friendly and welcoming. I arrived a little early and decided to sit on the patio outside in the sun with a drink and the barman gave me 4 bowls of crisps and nuts! Apparently this is typical in the afternoon in Italy, but it was a lot of snacks and really appreciated. The hotel was lovely. I felt safe and secure travelling on my own for the first time, and it was very comfortable. I had emailed in advance to ask for a balcony room if possible and they gave me one. There are also huge net curtains which help keep out mosquitoes etc. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast selection was fantastic. So many different drinks and food options to choose from.

I did think the room cleaning service was a little early. They sometimes cleaned my room whilst I was down having breakfast and one morning they came in whilst I was getting ready (only doing my makeup), so I would prefer for the cleaning service to be later when I'd reasonably left the hotel. I ended up putting the 'do not disturb' sign on my door for a few mornings when I was getting up a little later and it meant that I didn't get my bottles of water or bath towels changed.

Perfect location. Close to the city centre and to the train station without being in the heart of the chaos. The hotel grounds are lovely and the drinks at the bar are great value - turns out the nibbles are complimentary. Breakfast choices were fantastic and the staff worked incredibly hard. People need to stop complaining about a lack of kettle in the hotel rooms. Just bring your own if it's a requirement but recognise the ones supplied by hotels are incredibly unhygienic, and if it's coffee or tea you are after then head to one of the local cafes...

When we checked in we were just handed our key and directed to the elevator, so we had to find out where breakfast was served by ourselves. The fitness wellness centre was also closed, but we had no idea where to find it anyway. The air con in the room is also incredibly weak, so if you are visiting in the summer time prepare for an uncomfortable sleep. Breakfast past 9 am is very busy as there are not enough tables for every room. As a result the table turnaround is a bit chaotic, and sometimes we were placed at a table without cutlery. Just for quickness, I suggest the hotel set up a cutlery station so guests can grab their own instead of asking a member of staff to provide.

The location is close to the Train station if you are planning on lots of day trips. It is a good 10-15 min walk toPiazza Maggiore but great for getting the step count up. Overall I liked the hotel. We had a larger room which had a convertible sofa bed so this would be great for a family. The room was spacious. I didn’t like paper cups, I plume morning cup of tea or coffee in a real cup. Housekeeping was excellent. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant on the first night and it was more than adequate. I would stay here again.

The hotel was top class. Brilliant staff and service. Huge selection for breakfast, catering for all diets. Ate in the restaurant a couple of times and the food was top class and reasonably priced. Handy for the station (7min walk) and also near the centre.

ICARUS 2023 was taking place, so a bit noisy in the restaurant. Limited quantity of tea, coffee and milk with the hot drinks selection in the bedrooms. Just enough for 2 strong drinks. No doubt the hotel would say we could have asked for more, but why should we have to? Small point and not significant enough to lessen our view of the hotel.

We were upgraded to a deluxe room, which was very spacious and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. The breakfast buffet was extensive and good quality, though it helps to ask the staff to bring a "proper" capuccino rather than use the machines. Location is good, easy walking distance from the railway station, and 20 min taxi ride to the airport.

The bedside table and lamp was missing from one side of the bed, probably because of a faulty power socket. Walking into the historic centre of Bologna takes a little while, so probably not great for guests with poor mobility. Bar prices seemed excessive.

Very good breakfast. Staff always very attentive and polite. Cleaning the room daily, even on weekends. Large rooms, in fact we even benefit a free room upgrade, from deluxe double to suite. Full minibar. Classic decoration and much attention to details. Location very convenient close to the train station but also easy to reach the city center.

A little cold at night, air conditioning unit seems a little bit old, noisy and not so effective, some government policy about energy efficiency might be partly the fault. Some furniture looks old and a little outdated but it still looks like part of the classic look of the hotel.

This hotel is in a great location just a few minutes walk to the train station, we were able to walk with our cases to catch the train to Venice so it’s an easy walk. And just 10 minutes from the centre. We had the Junior suite which was huge, 2 bathrooms one bedroom and lounge area, the 2nd bathroom was designed for a disabled person and we didn’t use it. Every single staff member we came across was kind, helpful and welcoming, even when we called down for room service one night just 10 minutes before the kitchen closed the staff were only to willingly to oblige. Breakfast had a good selection of fresh food and service was well organised.

12 euros service charge for room service was a bit steep. We could only find one socket to work with our adapter as the one in the lounge area had a loose connection. There was no mirror over the dressing table. There was no kettle and tea tray in the room, we emailed before arriving to request one but was told it wasn’t possible, but during our stay we came across the chamber maid taking one out of a room so asked if we could have it which she agreed so the hotel obviously does have them

Beautiful, classically furnished reception and lobby areas. Rooms and corridors are all sumptuously furnished. Huge comfortable double bed with soundproof wallcoverings. Overall, a feeling of luxury. Breakfast was served in a beautifully decorated room with table service and a maitre d to show you to your table. The restaurant was excellent and the seabass was probably the best I've ever had. Great service from the young man and lady.

No tea/ coffee making facilities in room. Shower was faulty as it wouldn't stay on and had to keep pulling the button out to activate showerhead (room 232). Finally, check in could have been more welcoming. We were just given our room number - no information about breakfast/ dinner time or a map of the area

Beautiful hotel, very grand, comfortable bright rooms, lovely bar and breakfast!

We felt the reception staff could be much more friendly. Upon check in, we were not told where the bar or breakfast area was. We were not advised of the area or anything other than the floor of our room. Upon checking out, we were not even asked if we had enjoyed our stay. We felt this was quite bad considering we paid upwards of €500 euro for 3 nights stay. We feel we have received a lot friendlier welcomes in other hotels across Bologna and Italy in general. Other than this, our stay was lovely. The bar staff were particularly friendly, as were the very busy staff at breakfast.

Located out of the ZTL, super dog friendly. My dog was able to go to breakfast & the bar. Plenty of grass out front. The garage was perfect, the workers were so kind, good size parking spots. The hotel was much larger than expected! The front desk staff were nice, bartenders and doorman even better. We really enjoyed going back in time for the hotel, it felt like you were walking through the Titanic! It is 10-15min walk from the main square. Wonderful restaurants nearby.

The elevators were a bit slow & small, but at the same time it goes with the theme. The bed was a bit hard & the pillows were flat.
