Hi, the host was really kind and answered all the questions that I had. We really liked the self check-in because we arrived a few hours after midnight. The room is clean, has everything you need. There is a good amount of hot water, also drinkable water and milk in the fridge. The location is spot on if you want to travel around Italy for the day because it is right next to the train station. Last but not least, the place is super secure! You have to go through three locked doors in order to reach your room!

The rooms look like they were recently renovated and are immaculate, cleaned every day. They are compact but have TV and a fridge which the owner provides complimentary water / coffee. The owner is really easy to contact and responds quickly via what’s app. The location is just 2 mins from the railway and 20 mins to the main town square

As they have no on-site presence there is no left luggage facility but the owner said there was one in the station. But we did not try that. breakfast is really just some pre packed croissants but there is a nice coffee shop right next door and there is a toaster and microwave

We recently stayed at Amendola Central Station, which is conveniently located right at the central station, as the name suggests. The rooms are situated on an entire floor of a beautiful, residential building. Despite the central location, it’s important to note that, like most central station areas worldwide, it can feel a bit unsafe at night due to the presence of some questionable individuals. However, we still felt quite safe overall—just stay aware and keep your eyes open. The room itself was very clean and spacious, offering a comfortable stay. We particularly loved the special shower system, which added a nice touch to our experience. The hotel provides a Nespresso machine, tea, and water, but I wouldn’t classify it as a traditional B&B. The only breakfast offering was a small package containing four pieces of Zwieback (Brussels Biscuits / double toasted, super dry bread) and a tartlet, both packaged in plastic. If you’re looking for a more substantial breakfast, there’s a bar right underneath the hotel where you can grab a proper meal. There’s no physical reception on-site, but everything is efficiently handled through SMS/WhatsApp. The check-in process was well explained and easy to complete on our own. If you have any questions or need assistance, the staff is very responsive via messaging. Overall, Amendola Central Station is a good option for those who need a central and convenient place to stay in the city, just be mindful of the area around the station, especially at night.

Breakfast

I really liked how comfortable and fresh the room felt, a lovely relief after a busy city day. The bathroom was very clean and modern as well. The complimentary coffee and snacks offered were appreciated and were a nice touch in the mornings.

I chose the property as it was close to the train station and was walking distance to the center of town, although it felt a little unsafe in the immediate area. However, this was just the area of the property and no reflection on the property itself as it did have many safety features and locks etc.

Very clean room, renovated, big bathroom, close to train station and 20 mins walk from center. We had welcomed pastry and coffee in the room. Air conditioning was working perfectly. Owner was very responsive to all of our questions. Could not hear any noise from the street so that is also a plus.

The street of the hotel is not the best as it looks like is neglected and also dirty but we did not mind the street so much as we could walk to the centre and we booked this property since we wanted to be close to the train station and not walk much with our luggage. Other than that, the property is very nice.

Good location and reasonable size room. Perfect for a few days in Bologna I would definitely recommend staying here. It’s 5 minutes from the train station and a 10 minute walk to the main square. It was very clean. The cafe next door was very nice.

Pillow could have been softer but that is a very personal thing.

It suited us to be near the train station. It was very easy to walk to the Piazza Maggiore and centre of Bologna. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. We had our own bathroom also spotless. It was lovely overlooking the garden at the back of the property and we had a Juliette balcony. Very quiet.The cleaner is the only member of staff we met. She was very pleasant and helpful.

We found it difficult to get in to the hotel when we arrived as we are not computer literate and don't have wi-fi on the phone. From then on we were okay as a key was left for us for the outside door as well as the room key outside our room door.

The B&B was near the train station so it’s a good base if you keep on moving or if you are coming from / to the station during your stay. The room was spacious and very clean. What you see in the pics are accurate. Amenities were good and the snacks were complimentary and replenished every day. Check-in was contactless and simple. Manuela was very responsive and accommodating as well.

The building corridors (outside the B&B) are too dark at night. Either you manually turn on the lights as you pass by, or use a flashlight since it’s literally total darkness. It’s safe but sometimes you get scared also. The city center is a bit far inside, maybe around 20 mins walk. It’s very walkable but if you are tired, it is really draggy.

When I read the reviews, I wanted to be close to the train station, have black out curtains after traveling all night into the next day and have some snacks. This place was perfect. Our rental car agency by the airport was literally 3 doors down. We also arrived at 1am in the morning and we were starving. There was plenty of water and snacks in the room. It was great. The black out curtains were great and it was quiet after we shut the window.

The only thing that could have been better was our issue. We came in at 1am in the morning and we had 5% of battery life. We needed our phone to activate the door. We couldn't figure out the link, but we felt soooo accomplished when we finally figured it out. The instructions were great, but we are in our 60s so it was a little like the Escape Room, but all good.

I loved the proximity to the train station. I knew I would be visiting friends in Castelfranco and Reggio Emilia by train and I wanted a place that was close to the train station that would be minimal walking at night. This fit the bill perfectly. I soon realized there is a “short-cut” through the arches by the pharmacy that is moments from Via Giovanni Amendola that leads directly into the train station. I originally had walked the length of the block to enter the train station from its main entrance. I felt safe with my short walk to and from the trains, and it was also easy to walk to the historical center. My room was lovely and looked out on a greenbelt, it was quite peaceful. Manuela was attentive to each of my messages and was able to clear up any confusion I had immediately. She really added to my sense of comfort in choosing to stay there.

Perhaps because I had been looking at so many places to stay for my Italy trip, I arrived with the assumption I was staying at a hotel. I was surprised that this was an airbnb type set up and had self check-in. I had anticipated there would be hotel staff on site to answer my questions and give guidance. I admit that was my error but I didn’t worry long as Manuela was so responsive and helpful. The cleanliness, the loveliness of the room and the attention I received from Manuela far exceeded my expectations
