Beautiful house, room was very big, comfy bed, nice chairs and spacious bathroom. Nice setting close to the park and quiet. Helpful host who helped us book a hard to get dinner reservation and a cab to the station. Breakfast light but tasty. Once realised would be all key code access, was very easy to come and go and no key card to loose.

Few small touches would make it even better - thin plastic cups not very nice or green and weren’t replenished, hooks needed in bathroom and would be amazing if had a few things you can borrow - picnic blanket for park days or playing cards.

Absolutely stunning hotel in a beautiful location. Just a short walk (20 mins) uphill from the centre in a lovely neighbourhood. The hotel has an amazing lobby and breakfast area. The rooms are really tastefully furnished and have comfy beds. Excellent value for money as the stay also includes a tasty breakfast.

There was no soundproofing between the downstairs and upstairs (which I think might be separate apartments). It was a bit noisy at times but didn’t impact our stay much. It’s self check-in so you communicate via WhatsApp and use a code to come and go.

All facilities are very generic No bathrobes, no sleepers 4 old hangers for all your clothes, closet has only one open part - the rest are closed. Closet covered with old reared paper. No cosmetics - just liquid soap of poor quality No laundry service Would be very nice to add some stylish touches to the stay - as nice cosmetics, fluffy bathrobe and comfortable sleepers.

Beautiful spacious art deco villa with lovely features and an interesting history. Very peaceful. Generous sized bedroom and bathroom (plus bath), and a very good breakfast. The host was extremely welcoming and we appreciated his list of local restaurant recommendations. The villa is easy to get to by bus from the station - the number 30 bus stops right outside. The villa is a short walk to the centre of Bologna, and another short walk to the monastery of San Michele in Bosco from where there are lovely views of Bologna.

We had the most incredible stay at villa gotti! It was the highlight of our trip. The architecture and interior was something we’d never seen before, it was so beautiful. Joseph was the most amazing host and we are so grateful to have met him. He was so accommodating and friendly. We really could not have expected how wonderful our stay was. Bologna is the most beautiful place we have travelled to so far in Italy. We will be booking another trip soon!

Absolutely beautiful Bauhaus villa in a gorgeous and quite neighborhood, noticeably run with love and appreciation for the place, super comfortable rooms and beds, very friendly and helpful (albeit sparsely present) staff, easy walking distance to the center and next to the great Giardini Margherita park, lovely reading material in the lounge, good restaurant tips.

Although I love the villa and highly appreciate how the place is run I'm sorry to say that price/value seems a bit off. We payed € 480.- for two nights in a 15 m2 standard room. Considering there are only little amenities and services (no reception, no private or public outside areas, no minibar, plastic cups in the room, ok-ish breakfast) it felt like a bit much (all the more so since booking to the exact same terms four weeks later would have cost only two thirds, which seemed strange).

The property is so beautiful and charming. Gorgeous interiors. What you see is what you get. The staff was nice and polite too. The breakfast was varied and abundant. Would definitely come back :) Thank you

It was terribly noisy from early (8 am onwards) in the morning for the on going works in the front or maintenance of the garden in the property, we couldn’t sleep in late (as we were on vacation and we wished to) or well enough with too much noise coming in from the lawn mowing and drilling sound! Another thing that really surprised me was that the entire staircase was drenched in water as we were walking out of the property. It was very unmindful and potentially dangerous to walk down a wet staircase along with our luggage. Please be careful not to carry out works in the property early morning, maybe not when guests are staying in.

We arrived during floodings in Emilio-Romagna region but the host met us outside with an umbrella. The house was magnificant, renovated art deco building from the 1930s. The room was TOP-Notch. Host helped us plan our Italy stay and warned us about flooded roads which was very helpfull. The bus stopped right outside and took you for 1 euro to central Bologna. Breakfast was nice and familier. Highly recommend. We will stay here next time we visit Bologna for sure.

There was nothing to dislike.

Villa Gotti is an absolute gem - a stunning art deco villa restored to a very high standard. We loved spending time there. The lobby and breakfast room are beautiful and calm. We got the junior suite and we’re extremely comfortable in it. The property was slightly outside town but we appreciated having a quiet place to relax just outside the bustle of central Bologna, while still close enough we could walk into town.

I would recommend Villa Gotti as it's in a quiet location away from the centre, but buses are regular to go into the city. The property is beautiful and the staff are helpful and friendly. I would stay there again. Added bonus there is a park nearby. I'm living in Australia so the history, architecture and culture is quite different. Bellisimo 🌞
