I loved this book-themed b&b with its welcoming hosts. I was in the spacious and lovely Brontë room, surrounded by books of the famous sisters. The hosts put thought and care in every detail, from the nice little note on the towel package to the abundant breakfast with yummy dolci. If you take Alibus to or from the airport, the stop is just around the corner.

Via Landolina isn’t a busy street, but traffic got really loud. I didn’t mind as the location is supercentral, but light sleepers may want a room at the back that’s more quiet.

The premises are only 3 minutes walk from the centre of Catania’s historic core. The rooms are charming and decorated with imagination and flair by a book-loving couple. Diego and Guisi are lovely hosts and could not have been more helpful. A superb variety of produce was available for breakfast including wonderful home-made marmalade and yogurt. Diego was a mine of useful information, including things that didn’t appear in the tourist guides. Oh, and the bed was very comfortable. Altogether, we cannot think of a B&B that we have enjoyed more.

If you visit, you must be prepared to climb 47 steps to the 2nd floor. We didn’t mind (especially as Diego helped with the luggage) but it’s something some folk would find tricky.

Diego and his wife were wonderful hosts and very attentive to details. Diego spoke English very well and was helpful to us during our stay. The breakfast was outstanding with homemade yogurt, marmalade and pastries as well as cheese and meat. The place was clean, well decorated and the bed was comfortable. The location was exceptional— short walking distance to many sites and ~10-12 minute walk to the train/bus station.

The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the shower. It took a few minutes to warm up and did not get very hot. It was an acceptable temperature but for someone who likes hot showers it could have been a tad hotter.

Spacious room with a high arched ceiling. Everything was very clean and the interior was cosy. Lovely place with lots of books both as decoration and for guests to read. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and we got lots of helpful tips for our stay in Catania. The location is great, walking distance to both bus and train station and only a short bus ride from the airport. Walking distance to most of the famous sites as well. We loved it here, and will definitely come back if we're given the chance. 😊

Some noise from the streets outside, but not more than you can expect when you stay in the town centre.

Words won't do any justice to this stay! You have to go and experience it by yourself, period. Allow me to tell that Diego and his wife, Iussi, are a wonderful team: they are quick at responding messages, take care of any single aspect of the rooms, provide you with good advice on where to go, what to do. They are friendly, and the passion for what they do shows constantly. The Bed, Book and Breafkast Landonlina is conveniently located in downtown Catania. You can reach the major landmarks by foot; the train station is a 10 minute walk, and the bus to the airport stops at the corner. You do not need a car to stay here. I traveled to Taormina by bus and returned by train. Super easy to do! Starting every day with such a delicious breakfast was priceless; the variety of things, bread, cake, (home made) cheese, cold cuts, fruit, was a true delight! I highly recommend this Bed, Book, and Breakfast if you are looking for attention to every single detail of your stay!

This was perhaps the best B&B I've ever stayed at! Perfect location for Catania, close to centre and also just a short walk from the train station. Airport bus stop (ALI bus) right outside the property. My room was called the Bronte room and had a wonderful 'distressed' bookcase filled with Bronte literature. The room with its ensuite bathroom was spotless. Aircondition to keep me cool (it was ca 35C outside). My host Diego was so kind, considerate and friendly and great at communicating on WhatsApp. I loved that there were books everywhere (hence the BBB - Bed, Book and Breakfast). I can truly recommend Diego's place and I will most definitely stay here again. Thank you!

I liked everything about this place. The breakfast was amazing, but not perhaps best for a diabetic like myself, as there are a lot of sweet/carby things in a Sicilian breakfast. But that's ok, that is my problem, not theirs.

The location was perfect- close to everything we wanted to explore so a car was unnecessary! Three of us stayed in the "Jules Verne" room quite comfortably! The air conditioning was a plus as it was over 100 degrees (F) outside. The airport was less than 10 minutes away (depending on time of day and traffic). An adorable little gem in the city and will stay again should we make a return visit. The theme of this place is a book lover's dream and everything was well appointed. The host was quite friendly and accommodating-check it out!!!!!!!!!

We didn't like that we were only passing through for a day and a night - we had been traveling throughout Sicily so we missed breakfast because we had an early flight :( I'm quite positive it would have been delicious!!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Bed, Book & Breakfast Landolina in Catania, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The host, Diego, was incredibly helpful and accommodating, offering great tips on local attractions and making sure we felt at home. The B&B's location was perfect, just a short walk from main attractions. The room was elegant and beautifully decorated, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. Breakfast was a highlight too, with fresh, delicious options served. Overall, we highly recommend here. The combination of excellent hospitality from Diego and the ideal location made our stay memorable and enjoyable.

The Bed, Book & Breakfast Landolina is in a very central location in a lovely old building with a lot of original charm. My room was very well equipped, with super efficient air condition, a spacious bathroom, a comfy big bed, a table with two nice chairs and many more amenities. There was a little balcony going to the outside and I had good nights of sleep. Diego is a very friendly host who is very knowledgeable and helpful. The hosts have decorated every corner of the place with attention to the details. The very tasty breakfast was served nicely every morning with homemade pastries and the coffee was excellent. There was everything I needed and much more! My room had a lot of books of the famous English Bronte sisters and there were other useful books like travel guides to Sicily. Other rooms are dedicated to other writers. I wish I had had more time to check the books but was very busy exploring the amazing Catania. I would come back to stay here again anytime.

It was a pleasure to stay at BBB Landolina, and we were sorry we could only stay one night. Diego is a wonderful host - he could not have been more attentive or helpful, but was never intrusive. He carried our bags up and down the stairs, gave us a friendly and informative welcome, and made an excellent recommendation for dinner (Vuciata restaurant). But it is the whole vibe of Landolina that makes it outstanding. Set in a 19th century building with large rooms and high ceilings, Diego and his wife have stunningly and tastefully renovated and restored the property, keeping and exposing many original features whilst adding their own stylish character. And they have created a unique point of interest with a book theme throughout, each bedroom being allocated an author, with books everywhere. Impressively done! And as for breakfast - it was not only delicious, with the usual fresh fruit, bread, yoghurt, etc, and supplemented with homemade cakes, jam and tiramisu (yes, really!), but was also beautifully presented. A real treat! Landolina is perfectly situated just a short stroll away from the centre of Catania, and round the corner from the bus stop for the airport (get the Alibus). A perfect place to stay - thankyou, Diego!
