Simeone - excellent host, friendly, welcoming, helpful, made my stay very comfortable and stress-free, especially when I needed to book an extra night. His father also is friendly and helpful. Room - Big room with comfy bed, fridge, excellent AC, private bathroom with shower Breakfast - Excellent selection of fresh fruit (the peaches are delicious) and good coffee to enjoy on the balcony Location - It is quite a long walk from the bus and train station... but on the upside it also puts you in an area with less tourist restaurants and more local authentic spots (better prices / quality of food) All in all, a great experience. The family who own this place went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and give us a fantastic time. Our flight was cancelled and they accommodated us for an extra 3 nights. Plus for a reasonable charge they took us on a brilliant day trip to Mount Etna and Taormina. The son and daughter both speak good English and they picked us up at the train station when we arrived, as well as printing our new boarding passes. The accommodation is great, comfortable and good air conditioning etc. We had the family room which was ideal with a separate area for our son. Thank you all.

Excellent host, although he doesn't speak English, we somehow managed to communicate. 20 minutes from the city center on foot. In the morning he brings breakfast, one sweet and one savory pastry, very good! :) Coffee, tea, cereal are always available in the facility. He showed us how to use the coffee machine, we immediately made coffee and drank it on the terrace!:)

In Catania there is obviously a problem with the sewage, so used toilet paper is thrown into the bins and not into the toilet.

The pastries and coffee were fantastic and super fresh. The whole apartment was well kept, clean and felt homey and cute. The metro and bus stations were close. The hosts are very kind and welcoming people.

Super cold in the winter, the air-conditioning wasn't really working and got switched off. The hosts don't speak English so it was hard to communicate.

The room was nice, spacious, with a generous bathroom and a small balcony, plus amenities like a refrigerator and coffee machine which were very useful. Breakfast was ok, and the hosts were kind enough to leave it in our room, as requested, as we always had to leave before the actual breakfast time. The hosts were very nice and helpful, despite a bit of a language barrier. The actual building is about 7 minutes away from the metro station, which goes directly to the Catania Centrale train station.

As the rooms are in a regular residential building, it is quite hard to find if you do not look for the actual building number, as there is no front sign, only a sticker at the entrance intercom. The beds are unbelievably flimsy and noisy, and the rooms are not soundproofed, so definitely an awkward experience for a couple...

I was happy to stay in the b&b Firenze. Great location. A room has fun and creative design. It was clean and comfortable.There are a lot of space in the kitchen. For breakfast we tried some delicious Sicilian pizza. I am very thankful to Simone for fruitful information about Catania and some recommendations from as a local fellow. Hope to stay here again next time and climb to mount Etna. Grazie mille 🇮🇹💙💛

Cigarette smoke from other neighbors came into my room.

We had a very nice stay at this property. The host and his son were very helpful and nice. We had breakfast included and they offered us more options and let us change it from day to day. The tiny balcony was perfect for us to have a glass of wine in the evenings and the area was full of nice trattorias and good restaurants!

Host is super nice 😊 he is taking care of his guests. I liked breakfasts, our room was very nice and creatively designed ;) it was very close to restaurants and to attractions in the city. I strongly recommend to stay in this place when you visit Catania 🍊

After a long day of traveling to Sicily, we came to the B&B and it felt like coming home! The most friendly and respectful staff.. the room was super clean and comfortable. I would recomend staying here beacuse it is super authentic and clean. Thank you, we will be back soon! :)

The host is very welcoming and helpful (although speaks only Italian), the property is filled with cute little details, you can feel his love to this place in everything. Location is good, facilities are fine. As for the breakfast, I had the best pistachio croissant in my life. Thanks a lot!
