Francesco and Mirela go above and beyond to enhance the guest experience, offering invaluable recommendations on exploring Catania and nearby attractions. Despite our departure being as late as nine in the evening, Francesco and Mirela graciously offered us the option to stay in our room until our departure without any additional charge. While the accommodation may be slightly removed from the city center(2km) Francesco's willingness to assist guests with transportation negates any inconvenience. Whether it's guiding guests to the best local markets or waiting at the bus stop to ensure a smooth return journey, their dedication knows no bounds. In summary, La Foresteria is more than just a place to stay; it's a sanctuary where guests are enveloped in Sicilian hospitality at its finest. Francesco and Mirela's genuine care and attention to detail elevate the experience to new heights, earning it a resounding recommendation of 10 out of 10.

Our stay in Catania had its bright spots. The place was notably clean, and the hosts, despite their limited English, put in effort to communicate through WhatsApp. The airport taxi driver, Maurizio, was a delightful and kind character who made our arrival enjoyable. Additionally, the breakfast served was a definite highlight. The property also boasted a beautiful garden that added a charming touch to our overall experience.

Unfortunately, there was no jacuzzi as anticipated, and the rooms proved to be more snug than they appeared in the pictures. Additionally, the location was a bit farther from the city center, requiring a willingness to walk if you wanted to explore the town.

When you open a gate to accommodation, you are in another world. Beautiful small garden, everything clean and originally decorated. The room was clean with great terrace. Hosts were extremely nice and helpful. Very good breakfasts. We also ordered Sicilian dinner in the accommodation and it was great. Lot of various food and very, very tasty. It was perfect! Our hosts also helped us with transportation to to city center, bus station and airport. I can really recommend this accommodation!!! Thank you both :-)

This is a beautiful property with charming art deco interiors. I booked it for the lovely garden as shown in the pictures. The host, Mirella was superb. Our arrival was delayed due to closure of the airport, Mirella kept in communication during this time. We had to leave early to go to Mt Etna and Mirella packed us a lovely breakfast for us to takeaway. Thank you.

Catania airport was closed when we were due to arrive and we had to make alternative journey to Sicily. I had written to booking.com in advance to let them know that we won’t make the first night of the accommodation and had asked for a refund. I have had no response to date (very poor!!) and calling on the phone has been without success either. Considering that we managed to switch flights and car hire from Catania to Palermo, I feel let down by booking.com that you have not responded to my email.

The hosts took incredibly good care of us! They really went above and beyond and we’ll always remember our first days in Sicily because of it. Our room was great, very comfortable and the big terrace was a super bonus. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the garden courtyard that surrounded the entrance and dining areas we well cared for and a beautiful oasis to arrive to each night. We hope to return one day!

Nothing - everything was perfect

Hidden gem in Catania. Beautiful garden, lovely room. Truly exceptional breakfast with many Sicilian treats. A warm welcome from our hosts Mariella and Francesco who had thought of every detail for our comfort and convenience. We had a very comfortable room with a large terrace and a well-appointed bathroom. We loved the colorful plants and fun decor. We took advantage of shuttle service from the railway station, from the B&B to the city Centre, and from the B&B to the airport which worked well.

Merilla and Francesco are fabulous hosts, very friendly and made our stay very special. Breakfast and testing menu ( tipical sicilian) was delicious. Beautiful room (red room) with balcony , cleaned everyday, lovely garden. We definitely will back in future. Mirella and Francesco we miss you.

Everything was good for us.

Mirella and Francesco were very kind and cares for everything we arrived very late at night and Mirella was in contact with me before arrival to direct and make sure we will arrive safe. the breakfast is perfect, tasty, fresh and with personal touch Francesco was very kind and helping us planning out daily tour providing guidance, maps and directions location is quite, with available parking slots, close to the center (driving distance) but for for walking distance

A remarkably colorful and clean enclave in a rather littered Katani. Amazing breakfasts and very helpful hosts. Even though the location on the map may not be encouraging, it is within walking distance of the center; the bus stop is a few dozen meters from the B&B, and once a day, the host offers a lift to the center.

Exceptional breakfast, every day a little different spread of delicious local choices. Location overall very modern, stylish and comfortable. Wonderful garden is very inviting. Do not be fooled by the street entrance - behind the front gate a fairytale begins! We had a room with a terrasse - can only recommend it: cousy, spacious, green. All facilities in great shape. Mirella and Francesco are very helpful and friendly, easy to communicate thanks to multilingual household (English and French, and they were very patient about my barely existing Italian:) ) we had an early check in and were offered an extra breakfast upon our arrival. Upon arrival you get a folder of literally anything you might need about the city, locations, services and so on. There is also a great library of tourist guides, maps and literature in many different languages available for guests both in the common living room and in the rooms. A lot of art pieces all around the place - total feeling of the modern art gallery. Attention to the details in everything. Simply fantastic!
