The hotel itself was amazing. The pictures of the hotel and our room were not half as good as the hotel itself in person. We stayed there with our families for our wedding and everyone enjoyed the garden and pool. Breakfast was very good as well. The honeymoon suite was so spacious, my wife did her getting ready there and the pictures were amazing. The bathroom had so much coubterspace, that's exceptionally rare in hotels. Daniele the manager was very helpful and friendly. We organized with him a small pizza party for some friends and family, and the food, gardens, wine and service were exquisite. Definitely will be returning.

Everything was great. Maybe in the future could a fitness center be installed.

Breakfast was amazing and so were the staff. Always a smile on their face. The breakfast box to take on our early morning departure was above expectations. Thanks to everyone who made our stay memorable

There was a huge range of food available for breakfast. From cereals, pastries, cold cut meats and cheese, fresh fruit and yoghurt, cakes and scrambled eggs. Fresh juice and teas and coffee. It was all presented beautifully and lots to select from. A++ for breakfast choices. The rooms are stunning, a perfect mix of the old/original building teamed up with modern conveniences. Lovely tiled bathrooms with a lit mirror and a towel warmer. Our rooms were serviced everyday which was nice to come back to after a big day of exploring. The bed was massive, a little firm for my liking but still comfortable enough. The tiled floor and high ceilings made the room a little echo-y and could hear the next room if they were speaking loud. A few softer elements ie a rug in the room would help with acoustics. Only plastic cups in rooms for drinks, would have been nice to have a small tea/coffee facility and glass cups or mugs for drinks. There was a mini fridge and lots of wardrobe space. The hotel grounds are magnificent, if it had been warmer we would have had out breakfast on the patio to look at the view. We were happy to dine inside as its interior design is so gorgeous. The pool and surrounding were beautiful, a little too cold to swim in April, but was available if you needed. Maybe include a hot tub for cooler months? Although there is a local spa offsite the hotel aligns with if you do want a sauna/spa experience. Easy location to get to if you have a car - would recommend hiring a car when in Tuscany as there are so many little towns and vineyards to visit not far from Colle Di Val d'Elsa.

Minor things really as all so was so picture perfect - glass cups instead of plastic in the room, keep an iron & board in the wardrobe, and tea/coffee facilities in the room. Rug to help with acoustics.

This is a great place to stay to get a sense of Tuscany. We travelled from the hotel to Greve, San Gigimignano, Siena, and Pienza. The pool area is just beside the hotel and provides a great place to relax after travelling about the area. The rooms are spacious by Europeans standards; the bar area and piano room excellent places for a cocktail and conversing with other guests, and the restaurant served up some great food. We also travelled into the old city of Colle di Val d'Elsa and found the restaurant Porto Nuove...what a great place on top of the castle entrance to the city. Do not, and I repeat, do not miss out on hearing the guitarist that performs during dinner at the hotel restaurant. He is simply one great guitar player. The breakfast at the hotel is awesome. We sat outdoors each day (we stayed five nights), and sipped our cuppocinos overlooking the old city. The staff here couldn't be friendlier, and accommodated my non-stop questioning on how to say something in Italian. This is one great place to stay (P.S. if you long for a hamburger, like I did after several days of pasta and pizza, ask them where Poldo's is located. Its a local hangout and open till 2am, and wow did they have a great burger.

The pool is just off the road. Its not a main road, but you hear the occasional car go by. That is the only thing I can think of as to what I didn't like!

Excellent building and sorroundings. Friendly and knowledgable staff always smily and willing to help. Hotel in its previous lives was the cottage home of Pope and before that was a monastery!!! The style is unique. Breakfast really good and the restaurant at a magical place which used to be the cellar or some!! The menu of the latter though not at the high standards of the rest of the venue. Beds among the best i have ever experienced. Rooms are really spacious. Among the facilities there is a large pool in a green beautuful landscape around it.

This hotel is beautiful. We got a junior suite which was a large room on the third floor so totally private and not overlooked, with views across to the old town of Colle. As other reviews say, it is on a main road but we found this useful for travel to/from other parts of Italy (which we did a bit of via the local bus service) and it meant the hotel was within walking distance to local amenities and restaurants. Beyond this convenience once you are within the hotel grounds the road can be forgotten. The staff were all very helpful and the grounds were well serviced, with many spritz enjoyed by the pool. The restaurant was nice and had a good selection of wine. We would love to return one day ❤️

Location and atmosphere Modern but stylish Very good restaurant for lunch and dinner Nice swimming pool Very good staff, with exceptional service from shift we had between Thursday to Saturday. Bartender (guy from Rome and girl from Poland and lady in the restaurant with Moroccan origin) really made a change and honestly their service was incredible. We have spent much more money there just because they were fantastic. This was for me a proof, that good employees in services make a huge difference. They deserve some bonus.

Lot of mosquitos (especially around pool), hard to do something about it, but it is annoying Restaurant menu is quite limited and expensive (especially considering size of the dishes) Cocktails are a bit overpriced
