The design/look and feel of the building was really nice and the view from the room out to the lake was amazing. Also the best staff in a hotel I have ever met. 10/10 you must stay here if going to Lake Como.

slightly more variety to the breakfast provided would be nice but that's me nit-picking

Our room was a lake/garden view room and had a great view of the lake. Parking was on the top of the rooms and you have to take stairs down to the rooms. One of the best features of the room was the AC, given the temperature in late June/early July. It worked well and was very quiet. The outer wall was window and glass door which exited onto a terrace with a table and chairs and offered a great view of the lake. Breakfast was a selection of cheeses, cold cuts and pastries (typical throughout the north). Scrambled eggs were available upon request also. Outside seating was an option for breakfast. This was a great place to stay in Como; far enough from the hustle and bustle but close enough to enjoy the town. The hosts were very accommodating in providing information about what to see and where to eat in the area. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

The only downside was the highway that passed very near the B&B which you could hear anytime you sat outside. Inside the room, the heavy window/door blocked the noise. Also, at the end of the driveway exiting the property to get on to the main road you had to turn very near to a blind curve in the road, making it difficult to see traffic coming from the left.

We had a wonderful time at VistaLago. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The location is unbeatable, offering stunning views of Lake Como and mountains. The beautiful hortensias and the abundance of green trees surrounding the hotel made our stay even more wonderful. Our room, with its direct view of the lake, that was even possible from the shower, was absolutely amazing. The service was exceptional. The staff's warm and welcoming treatment made us feel right at home. Although breakfast was typically sweet Italian, the staff kindly prepared a salty breakfast for us, which we greatly appreciated. Our vacation was devoted to our 20th marriage anniversary and it made our special occasion even more memorable. I highly recommend having a car, since the hotel is located on the hills far from the center of the city, the parking is available. Overall, our stay was perfect, Como is amazing. We will definitely return.

Noisy highway lower on the hill, but this is not the fault of the hotel, the beautiful view of the whole lake compensates for this disadvantage . with the window closed at night you can not hear anything.

Room is nice and spacious. Unlimited coffee and drinks displayed in the lobby. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. We tried walking down the way to the bus stop but it was far and dangerous and we called the B&B staffs and they saved us in the middle of the street.

Advisable to have a car if you’d stay here otherwise must arrange transportation or coordinate with the hosts. I was told that bus stop was only 10-15 mins walk but it’s not. It’s very dangerous to walk as there were no pedestrian lanes and cars drive so fast. Without a car, must prepare budget for taxis all time.

The B&B is fantastic: room with perfect view, very spacious, comfortable and large bed, great breakfast (with the same view), there is free parking, the service is very good, overall great experience.

Would be good to be able to check-in after 6:30 p.m., it is early to close the check-in and reception, although they do offer a "virtual check-in" process.

It was perfectly located with a gorgeous view of the lake (from the bed!) and easy to access from various directions. Our suite was super comfortable and spacious. Very clean and well equipped. The breakfast was abundant and offered many (healthy, thank you!) options.

I can’t think of anything other than maybe to please have two extra pillows in the closet instead of just one.

The location was perfect ( parking spot is available) You have the best view of the lake! The breakfast is fresh with great options! Coffee machine is available all the time (big plus for us). Very helpful people at the reception that provide us with a lot of tips and good options for restaurants and activities. We will return for sure!

The view was amazing. Staff were so friendly and gave me plenty of information as I was checking in after 6.30pm. Breakfast had plenty of choice. Beautiful area. Fantastic shower!

The only downside for me was the accessibility into the town, I had wrongly assumed I could walk but was told it was too dangerous I spent over 30 euros a day on taxi trips, which I hadn't accounted for cost wise. Much easier for people travelling via car.

As an architect I was impressed by the building. I loved the glass in the shower so we could face the bedroom and the lake from there. The view is amazing. Wifi worked well. Friendly staff, helped us to figured out what to do and great communication. Breakfast was amazing and full of options. We were really happy staying there.

The exit to the main road towards Como is a bit dangerous, so maybe installing one of those mirrors would be nice.

- the view is incredible from every room and part of the property. - a lot of useful maps / information provided which really helped us make the most of our stay. - very welcoming staff. We were offered an espresso on the main terrace while they handled our check in and luggage. Further, the property owner very kindly drove us in to town when we were unable to get a taxi. - excellent breakfast - great coffee, eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, pastries, jams, fresh fruit etc. Having breakfast on the terrace with those views is fantastic. - rooms are very good standard and finish, especially the bathroom.

Not exactly a negative point, but the location means you need to consider transportation. If you have a car it is totally fine, but if not it may be difficult to order taxis into Como town in high season. We walked into town and you need to walk approx 3.5km along a steep road with no pathway. However, we had no problem getting a taxi back to the property from town, and this was only around 15-20 euro. Just something to consider if you have limited time (we only had one night in Como). The view from the room and property were still totally worth it and we were very glad that we picked this property over other options in town.
