The location was amazing, it was so close to the lake and restaurants. The staff members at reception were really friendly and helpful. The bed was comfy and the room was quiet, clean and had incredible air-con which was much appreciated in the 30 degree heat. There was a decent selection of items for breakfast including cooked breakfast, cereals, pastries, coffee, juices and yogurts. However there could have been more fruit.

The bathroom was outdated and in need of modernisation. There was no lift, which was fine for us. However, it would not be accessible for disabled guests or guests who are less mobile.

Loved the location. On the lake side, a few minutes to bus terminus. We caught a bus direct from the airport to garda, then a few minutes walk to the hotel; excellent. Clean hotel, friendly staff. Breakfast was nice, lovely orange juice. Loved the patio balcony to sit on in the evenings overlooking the square where opera singers were performing on the Saturday we arrived; what a great start to our break.

Would've liked amenities to make a hot drink. Maybe kettle, etc, in the room.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Astoria. We knew the bedroom was small but it had enough space and comfort for our needs. The roof top area with sun beds was an added bonus and a lovely place to relax. The staff were all completely wonderful. Erika was so lovely to us and helped us to find out where our missing luggage was. She gave us advice as to which places to visit and everyday greater us with a smile and genuine interest in how we were. The other staff were equally as friendly. The breakfast ladies learnt that my husband likes decaf coffee and instantly made him one every time we entered the breakfast room. I am so glad we choose this hotel as we had such a good stay. Garda is the perfect place for getting boats and buses to see the rest of the lake, with lots of great restaurants with wonderful views of the lake. Thank you for making it so memorable for us.

The shower cubicle was a little small but nothing to detract from how much we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at the Astoria a few years ago prior to their refurbishment and the refurbishment to turn it into a boutique hotel that has been undertaken has completely exceeded our expectations. The rooms are beautifully decorated, with tasteful lighting, super comfy bed and quality linens, a large flat screen TV and a stocked mini bar. The warmest of welcomes from the lady in reception awaited us and we were even assisted with our luggage to our room on the first floor. Our request for a room near the terrace was met and during our stay we were even upgraded to a lake-view room that overlooked the large roof terrace with tables and chairs and sun loungers and the view of the lake from the bed was amazing. The terrace is the perfect place to sit with a drink and watch the world go by and see the sunset. The staff is exceptional with nothing being too much trouble. The breakfast room is bright and airy with the friendliest staff to start your morning. Cooked breakfast options as well as fruit, cereals, cold cuts and everything you can think of were available. The hotel is immaculately clean and the staff are on hand every day keeping the rooms clean, stocked with drinks, fresh towels. The location of the hotel was what brought us back for a return visit but the staff's hospitality and service make for a wonderful holiday. The hotel's location on the lakefront means it's only a short stroll down the promenade to catch the numerous boats and ferries for trips around the lake and the central bus station is also a few minutes walk away, with Airport transfers and buses going around the lake and also to Verona. We can't wait for our next visit here and would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we can't wait to return.

As a partially disabled traveller, there is no lift access but there are lots of handrails to manage the steps to the first floor rooms and on the hotel entrances steps.

Fantastic value for money, in a superb location. Air con is centrally controlled but the room was cool at all times. Window glazing was very effective at keeping all noise out. Considering this was in the centre of Garda I thought we might struggle with noise level, but not at all thanks to the glazing. All staff are welcoming and the reception staff were particularly lovely. Good size room, and bed surprising comfy. All in for a 3 star hotel, this exceeded my expectations.

No air con in the bathroom meant it was too warm.

I absolutely loved our visit to this hotel. It really is a great find a superb value for money. The hotel is located in a quiet village but has so much around, with shops, boutiques, cafes and restaurants. The lake is not even 20 seconds walk from your room. The restaurants offer so many options! The harbour close by makes you feel like you are in a movie! Love love love it! The sun terrace was so quiet, we were the only ones to use it! The rooms are modern and clean but the hotel is in keeping with the historic surroundings. The breakfast is ok, offering options to cater for everyone.

The shower is quite small, but that seems to be normal for Italian hotels! There is a bar but it wasn’t open which may be because of the season (last week of October) but you can get drink within 100m of the hotel.

The room was basic but lovely and very clean. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel's location was great - so close to the lake, main restaurants and shops etc.

There was no plug in our room near a mirror which made styling my hair difficult. The quilt was quite thin, could've done with a warmer one with weather being colder at night. Breakfast was good but some fresh fruit and freshly made coffee rather than from a machine would've made it even better.

Kitchen fan beginning at 6am work is up every day. Staff were sorry about it but unable to move our room. Breakfast didn’t have any fresh fruits. Shower and toilet were very small in bathroom.

Excellent breakfast, a great option to have breakfast on the terrace with a view of Garda. The location is amazing right on the promenade, sitting on the terrace in the evening with a view of the promenade and Garda is great. The accommodation does not have a parking lot, but the public parking lot is about a minute away, plenty of space - it's no problem

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Astoria. The hotel is situated on the lakeside and has a wonderful breakfast buffet included. The staff was very kind and helpful. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we prolonged our stay with an extra night the evening before. Erika was super helpful and even gave us the time to consider the option to prolong our stay!
