The hotel is centrally located, a few minutes from the main sightseeing, shopping and restaurants areas. The design is lovely. The bathroom amenities are chic. Friendly staff.

Our room faced the opposite side of the building (not to the river), and that part was loud. There are busy roads and lots of bars —traffic, horns and screaming people almost 24 hours. The windows are not sound-proofed. The service at breakfast and lobby bar needs a lot of improvement. Generally, it is a nice hotel, but you expect much higher standards when you go to Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

The location was absolutely perfect. The room blew me away. The breakfast made me love breakfast. The staff were outrageously kind and accommodating. I arrived tired and hours before check-in. They readied my room in an hour while offering me coffee and pastries. While I am a very low maintenance traveller, I overheard many a conversation involving guests who needed accommodating and the hotel seemed to go above and beyond. Let me also say this: When I walked into my room I thought: Florence has some tough competition. I didn't want to leave.

Honestly, a friend and tough critic recommended this hotel. He prefaced it with: I am never impressed by hotels. It was amazing in every way and I cannot wait to return.

The hotel stay was a wondering experience. We stayed in the family room which was perfect for 2 adults and 2 children. The room was clean, nicely sized and the staff was extremely helpful. The location of the hotel was amazing - right on the river and close to all the main attractions of Florence without being overly touristy.

The only thing missing was a fitness centre which would have made the stay perfect.

We loved everything about the room, the view, the comfort level, the location and proximity to central historic area, shopping.

We had one interaction with a bar waiter when we were sitting outside having a late afternoon drink. He was somewhat surly and when we asked for the check (four times) he grudgingly brought it. We asked him for the check 4 times and we asked another waiter to bring our check too! So technically, we asked for our check 5 times. That seemed excessive when the bar was not busy.

Beautiful rooms, great location for easy access to sites, lovely staff

The property was lovely. We did have trouble with our dinner reservation being canceled by accident that was quite upsetting but the staff of the hotel worked hard to correct it. The restaurant (owned by the hotel) were not very helpful and merely shrugged their shoulders that the reservation was canceled instead of confirmed and refused to really do anything until the hotel manager got involved.

In comparison to other hotels we have stayed in this spring we found the majority of the staff to be less attentive than we are accustomed to.

The location was perfect, hotel absolutely gorgeous and there was a luxurious and intimate romanticism about the atmosphere of the whole place that made our trip so memorable. The hotel had wonderful restaurant recommendations which included Il Parione that we dined at twice we loved it so much.

Hotel in great location for attractions also had some great bars and restaurants nearby . Did not have hotel breakfast as prefared to get out and have some thing local , would highly recommend this hotel.

It was by far our most comfortable and cozy stay in Firenze. The hotel is lovely, conformable, with an impressive art collection and a beautiful view on the Arno river and Ponte Vecchio. We felt spoiled in there.

For first time visitors to Firenze and the Lungarno Collection hotel, I strongly recommend to book in advance the parking and to speak with the staff to receive directions. (the GPS is not working in there). The hotel is placed literally at 100 m from Ponte Vecchio into a pedestrian street, with any sign, name on the street... so it was very difficult to find it and it was almost impossible to drive or to park. However the staff was lovely and Daniela helped us to find our way so it was all good in the end.

the location could not have been better, on the Arno river with an amazing view of the Ponte Vecchio and 5 minutes walk to the centre for museums etc. the room was so welcoming and comfortable. breakfast with a view on the river could not have been better. we were very impressed by everything and shall willingly return
