The room was extremely nice, with soft furnishings/bedding and good air conditioning. In theory I had to share a bathroom, but in practice I could easily access it whenever I wanted. Facilities were all clean and the shower was excellent once I figured out how to use it! The area is quite quiet, although you are close to a main road and the traffic can be loud on occasion. Still, I had no trouble sleeping. While I was there, staff were offering a paid breakfast service, but unfortunately I did not use it as I needed to be out of the room early every day. Still, it's an advance on what they were advertising at the time I booked my stay. I didn't see much of the staff after the first day but they were always extremely polite, and the owner went out of her way to help me check in after a misunderstanding (see below). On the whole this was a really wonderful place to stay, and especially for the price I thoroughly recommend it!

While the owner was very communicative we did have a misunderstanding (mostly my fault) due to her level of English-language skills, where they thought that I was checking in much later than I was. The owner was very sweet about getting there after hours as quickly as she could, however, and was able to accommodate my checking out very early in the morning on the last day of my stay. All I would say is that you should try to use clear, simple language in communications to avoid confusion, if you can't write in Italian.

We did a last minute reservation on a train from Pisa. They called us to confirm and check the time of our arrival, which I did appreciate very much as I knew we were expected. It was awesome we could check-in early (12:00, it is possible even from 11:00), leave our luggage and go explore the city. The room was clean, very cozy. Pictures don't lie in this case. Shared bathroom was just across our room, also perfectly clean. We had a kettle and tea/coffee to make in the room and a little snack. Even though we got up late to check-out precisely at 10:00 (the latest time), we were offered a breakfast. Although some people might not like the busy road near the facility, we did not mind. Not so busy in late hours. It is good to search the adress in advance as the plate with the name is not visible from a distance, but also no problem. You just need to know the location. It is also near to the main train station S. Maria Novella, which is perfect when you move around Italy by train, as we did. We were overall very satisfied with the staff, the room, the cleanliness - I definitely recommend Melody House.

Check in was easy and the inn keeper was very sweet. The bedroom was plenty large for myself and my friends. We were pleased with the comfort and cleanliness of the room. Also, our room was tidied and beds were made each day. I also loved the cappuccinos each morning. The location was very close to the train station which was nice.

Breakfast left a lot to be desired. I believe that breakfast was scaled back because of COVID-19 (maybe they used to make breakfast in house?), but the pastries and fruit reminded me of school breakfast in the United States (not very yummy). The bathrooms were okay. It was about a twenty minute walk to central Florence. The roads nearby were pretty loud and congested. There were not crosswalks on the major road in front of the B&B, so we made a run for it each time. If you prefer to feel like you're actually in Florence or don't want to walk very far late at night, I might suggest a different location.

The room was spacious and immaculate, including the bathroom. The staff was amiable and always ready to help. There even was free cappuccino in the morning. The hotel's location was great, we could reach all the interesting spots on foot. As two young women, we were able to get to the hotel safely even later in the evening, and were very happy about that. I will definitely stay there again.

The room is not exactly soundproof. We didn't mind at all, but light sleepers might bother.

Big room light, character and high ceilings, with a view over trees. Clean linen and the best thing was tea and coffee making facilities in my room with shared fridge near room and with Earl grey tea and lovely biscuits in my room and with electric kettle too . This makes my stay. A lift was great too and keys worked well.

Close to the station, walking distance to all Florence points of interest, within city bike range (you can rent an bike for 20m for 1.25c), room is clean and great, friendly staff.

The lady who works on front desk was increadibly helpful and sweet. Place was comfortable and fairly close to the most of the important destinations. Also photos were accurate. Overall i had great time and definitly recommend to everyone. Price was a bit more than I would say but we booked the place quite late so probably that is the reason, but still it was perfect.

That is maybe nitpicking but shower was a bit small but this is probably because of my habits and showering style because my friend said that it was good

The location was perfect and our hostess was gracious. I literally made the reservation at the last minute as I boarded the flight to Florence and she was able to accomodate us. Just steps from the T2, so easy to get to from the airport. The room was clean, charming and the bed extremely comfortable.

We slept with the window open instead of turning on the AC so it was a little noisy, but it is in the heart of the city so that is to be expected.

The room was big, clean, comfortable and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. My flight got cancelled so I booked last minute and the room was all ready to go as soon as I got in thanks to the lovely staff.

Rooms were wonderful size for the price and for Europe. I got a little lucky but imagine most rooms would be quite comfy. Space was adorably low tech with keyed entry. Bathroom was shared but totally reasonable (not a locker room style but rather like in a home)

Lighting was florescent and a little strange.
