Fantastic location, only 15 mins from Piazza del Duomo and yet away from the crowds. The estate is kept in a beautiful italian style with breathtaking sealings. Beds are comfortable and rooms are clean. Breakfasts tasty with a good choice of foods. But yet the jewl of it all is Sam! He will make your visit comfortable and unforgetable. He has all the answers and suggestions you need👍 before you even realize you need them!

I've visited Milano, Venezia, Citta di San Marino in the Republic of San Marino, Ercolano, Napoli, and now Firenze since September 5, and all but one of my lodging selections were 9s or 10s in my estimation. Il Marzocco Boutique has easily bested all the others. Why? The owner and staff are warm and welcoming, eager to assist and make guests' stays in Florence as effortless and memorable as can be, providing much-appreciated directions on a map to locations and recommendations for meals if interested. The B&B has precise and gorgeous decorative appointments, like wall-mounted shelves with novels and travel guides. The bedroom and bathroom design and fixtures are clearly chosen by someone who intends to evoke in guests a very specific reaction of . . . pleasure, comfort, relaxation. Breakfast is vast and delicious. The beds and pillows are firm and very comfortable. The Wifi is fantastic. Finally, a great location: a straightforward 5-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella makes it easy to locate upon arrival. There is a tram stop around the corner. Depending on your walking route, Il Marzocco is a 20-minute walk to Piazza del Duomo, Duomo di Santa Maria del Fiore, Battistero di San Giovanni, and Campanile di Giotto; to Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, and Loggia dei Lanzi; to Ponte Vecchio (frankly, a very unattractive bridge, despite its well-deserved veneration as a survivor of destruction); and a 40-minute walk across the Arno and up the “Rampe di San Niccolò” stairs and paths to Piazalle Michelangelo with its jaw-dropping vistas over Florence and the surrounding hills.

N/A Everything was perfect.

This was a gorgeous property. The apartment was so nice and decorated classy. The garden patio backyard was so beautiful and relaxing. Our hosts were kind and helpful like extended family. They offered recommendations, advice and even called for taxis as needed. The neighborhood was very nice.

I have no complaints. I was there with my Mom and she managed the stairs well, but as in many European apartments there are stairs. It was also a bit of a 15-20 minute walk to the Metro and 30 to the Duomo cathedral. We could taxi, but that was a bit difficult when they had a transportation strike.

I have only positive things to say about our stay at this B&B! Our trip was a bit spontaneous and rush so I didn't much have time to research about the property, but I was glad we chose this B&B. First the check in was supposed to be at 2pm, but since we had an appointment at 2-2:30pm we requested for an early check in. I understand that this request was a bit hard because they needed time to reorganize and clean the rooms, but they still managed to check us in earlier than 2pm so we were really thankful! :) The location of the B&B is PERFECT! It's 7mins walk from the train station. There's also a bus/tram stop beside the property so it's really convenient if you're planning to go to the Accademia or Uffizi for example. The meet up point of Get your guide (Chianti winery group tour) is also near the property. It's a 5min walk from there. Regarding our room, it was really clean. There were also free bottles of water in the mini bar and free shampoos/soaps in the cr. Beds were comfortable too! The continental breakfast was great. There were cakes, eggs, ham & cheese, yogurt, veggies, bread etc. It was delicious. I loved how the food was presented. The lady that greeted us during our breakfast was nice. Always smiling. I would also like to commend Sam. He's really GREAT at what he does. He did everything he could to accomodate and welcome us. He explained everything well and also sent us tips about where to go or eat in Florence. We LOVED this B&B so we will surely come back in the future.

The breakfast was great, everything was good quality and delicious! The staff are very friendly. We loved the interior of an old Florentine house now used as a hotel. It was very clean and the furniture is comfortable and in style everywhere. The elevator is a pleasant surprise for vintage tech enthusiasts:)

Our room was very small so travelling with 2 bug bags it was a little crowded there.

My experience was perfect, and exceeded my expectations from every point of view. I definitely recommend this place for a comfortable and valuable staying in Florence. At the arrival, Sam, the host, has been super nice and he offered to upgrade our room for free. The room was beautiful, clean and spotless and comfortable, with typical florentine decorations, same for the bathroom, beautiful, clean and functional. The location is perfect, close to the centre and very silent. We didn't try the breakfast but Sam offered us coffee and tea before departing. Overall an excellent experience!

The staff is great particularly Angela. It's a very small B&B and almost feels like it's your own home. Rooms are clean and bathroom is large. Despite a busy location the inside if hotel is perfectly quiet.

The five minute walk to the station is pretty ugly with trolley and train tracks everywhere. However you can walk to the Piazza of Santa Novella in 8 minutes. The river and the Dupmo are within 10 minutes.. So, all in all not a bad location.

The location was amazing. My boyfriend Giuseppe and I were met by the warmest hostess, Angela, she took care of our room, breakfast buffet, calling us a taxi, great conversation. Samuel, the owner, was inviting, friendly, helpful and a wonderful person. We would highly recommend this BB. The location of this BB is perfect, the tram is next door, the train station is a 10 mins walk.

nothing negative to report.
