A unique hotel in a superb location. If the normal bland chain hotel is not your thing, stay here and enjoy a wonderfully different experience. The staff (mainly all the family that run the place) were superb. Very friendly and welcoming. The decor is classic faded grandeur and not everyone will understand it (a couple of American guests made the comment about it needing renovation - oblivious to the fact the villa is older than America!) We had dinner at the hotel as had had a long drive and it was good old classic Italian home cooked simple food. All round a lovely, lovely experience.

No complaints at all. Just a couple of comments that might help others. The entrance gate is very narrow (although clearly getting bigger as some wing mirrors have taken some chunks out of it). We drove a Merc B class and this only fitted through by folding in the wing mirrors. Due to the age of the building there is no aircon but the building is naturally cool so was not a problem (end of May when we were there so quite warm outside).

A beautiful old villa in a great place for visiting the area (well worth a walk around). Lovely large terrace accessed from the room. The evening meal was superb and a good choice at breakfast. Staff were very helpful.

The entrance for the car is very narrow but, this is part of this buildings charm. Pity that some of the frescos in the main hall had been whitewashed over.

I love old villas and their charm, so this was the right place for me. Beautiful paintings on the ceilings and just the atmosphere is wonderful. Our room was large and we had two windows that we were able to open to get some fresh air and enjoy the view. It was nice that we could use a quiet ceiling fan during the night. For breakfast we could choose to eat outside or inside. We choose outside and enjoyed the garden. The breakfast buffet was typical Italien, consisiting of sweet delicious pastries, croissants, homemade cakes and jams. Cappuccino and coffee was served at the table. Parking was not a problem although we were very nervous about driving through the stone gate archway. It looked impossible to get through especially when we arrived at night. We were able to message the hotel and received a very fast reply that there is another entrance and directions were given. The next day, during daylight, we decided to try the narrow gateway and holding our breath we fit through. So, it does have a width of a little more than 2 meters. Our car has a width of a 2,08 m with the mirrors out and we fit through. I am writing this because it would have saved us a lot of time and nerves knowing this ahead of time.

An old beautiful villa with an ancient italian flavour. Very close to the seaside. Nice breakfast, very friendly staff. Beautiful garden. Very close to the train station.

Everything was fine for a short stay.

This place has buckets of character, an interesting history, and a very merry and upbeat hostess. Useful parking. It also had the best breakfast I had in two weeks in Italy. The dinner was good-value if not exactly haute cuisine. It's ideal for visiting the Genoa area without needing to drive into the city, and just a short and lovely walk to the train station along the seafront. Good value, too. Extended my stay, and would come again.

My single room had a really cramped bathroom - you had to lean over the toilet to get to the sink, and needed two hands to turn the cold tap. I think double rooms are much roomier. Dinner was good-value built not very interesting.

Hotel is based in an old villa building, which gives you a feeling of the times. The location is close to the harbour and shore trail. Parking is available. Two things to take into account, which may cause disturbance: no air conditioning in the rooms and the railway is close.

Just keep in mind two aspect from above.

Really friendly and helpful owner and staff. Excellent dinner and breakfast taken outside in the garden. The hotel is an old palazzo which needs a lot of renovation. The room was very comfortable and everything works. They deserve support for the project they have taken on. Very good location in the centre of Nervi. Use gps to find it!

See above. It’s a work in progress. You have to appreciate the history and what it will be like when the renovation is completed.

It was interesting staying in such an old location with a family vibe to those who were serving there. Breakfast and dinner were included which was very relaxing.

There were two groups of fellow travelers which changed the dynamics of the place. A very loud group of high school male athletes and a band of "Art film" individuals, cameras, actors, action, and 2 little dogs too. Again the GPS did not get us here corectly.

Beautiful old style villa steeped in history. Very friendly and helpful staff. we enjoyed three nights stay with two excellent meals at the hotel in the evening. Fabulous value for money and great food. Good location and easy access to Genoa-we took the train with our two dogs, which was quick and easy. Tip-download the train app ( the ticket machine was not working at Nervi station).

Expect old decor. ( Not a criticism, just an observation) This adds to the charm.

Wonderful hotel in a renaissance palazzo with 18th century interiors, just a few steps from the harborg and the beach. Fantastic staff, excellent breakfast, good in-house meals for lunch and dinner. A truly charming place, highly recommended.
