We loved staying at this hotel! We arrived by train from Rome and it was such a comfort knowing that our room was just down the stairs across the street from the train station! Not only is the room right by the train station, but in 5 minutes down the street to the left is the beginning of the pedestrian main street! We could not believe the location of this place! Plus there was a bakery and grocery store right nearby. We stayed four nights and loved every one of them. The room had everything we need. The fan was great too. We are used to sleeping with a fan at home, so this was perfect. We usually stay in apartments, so a hotel was such a nice change on our trip. It was so nice to come back to the hotel after a long day of hiking the Cinque Terre to a clean room with beds that had been made and a fresh bar of soap and shampoo on our bed. The staff is sooooo friendly and warmly welcomes you with smiles and joy. A wonderful family runs this hotel. We spoke a lot especially with the daughter who speaks practically like a native English speaker. She gave us tips on where to eat and just was so warm and friendly everytime we saw her. Thank you Hotel Aurora for the wonderful experience. We would stay again!

Bang across the road from the train station, perfectly located near la spezia main square where all the stores and restaurants are. Perfect to base your self if you want to explore cinque terre.

Noise of the traffic as it was on a main road but that cannot be helped.

Great location for the train station as its right opposite. Fair few shops near by for essentials. The single room i had had everything you could need. Wardrobe, desk, fan, sink and adequate balcony.

Bathroom could do with up dating. Shower wasn’t really working but at least it was hot. Mattress wasn’t all that comfortable either.

Friendly helpful staff. Excellent location, just down the steps from the train station. Washbasin in the room. My room also had a balcony. I stayed here for several days doing daytrips to Cinque terre and the guy in the reseption said I HAD to also visit Portovenere which is on the peninsula just south of La Spezia. Oh boy was it worth it. Thart place is a MUST. The hotel is old and worn in the edges, but perfectly fine for a budget backpacker. They are selling cold drinks in the reseption. Perfect when you get back from a long day hiking in the Cinque Terre.

It is a dated old basic lodging with shared bath but the price was fair for what it is.

I cannot relate to the complaints. Basically yes it is dated! However they keep it clean! People mona but when i compare the prices in La Spezia, you get what u pay for. Right at the station as well

the position is great! just near the station, perfect for visiting the 5 terre, the room was perfect for one person and has a nice terrace.

I didn’t like that the radiator was off, the room was a bit cold, I tried to put it on but seems was just off.

A bit worn-out, but otherwise absolutely fine, everything is working, a train station 50 metres away, hot water running, fan working, stuff very nice and efficient

I think it is in a great spot to visit Cinqueterre. Meters of the train station. Nice helpfull staff. Place is simple but it was clean. Good wifi. Nice price quality ratio.
