I read quite a few comments here concerning the Hotel Villa Edera, and after staying there three nights, I would like to give my opinion: - Location is ideal: five minute walk to the Lido SME boat station, from where San Marco is a 15 minute ride. Plenty of restaurants also within a ten minute walk, much cheaper and friendlier than in Venice. - The hotel is worth the money. Yes, the rooms and the shower are small, but you aren't here to stay in your room. There are so many things to discover out there. Staff is very kind, the street is calm, the garden nice, and the breakfast very good for Italy. A few tips: - From the airport, buy a return ticket with Alilaguna to get to Lido in one hour. Then buy a pass with the public boat company ACTV to move around Venice and the surrounding islands. - Forget Murano, except for the Museo del Vetro. But don't miss Burano, a really charming and colourful village. - If you want to visit the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, don't just turn up. You really need to buy a ticket in advance. - A good restaurant in Venice: 6342 A le tole.

I have been resting on the Lido for more than a year. I can say that the price offer of the hotel meets all the stated criteria. Breakfast has everything you need. for a complete breakfast. Separately, it can be noted that there was always a delicious, freshly baked Italian pie with berries, cottage cheese, biscuit, various fruits. The toaster was not very convenient and it was problematic to toast the bread. The coffee machine dispensed coffee in small portions, it was impossible to have a full cup at once. Everything else met the basic requirements for breakfast, everything was enough, the workers quickly replenished what they had eaten. The room is small but cozy and quiet. We could sleep with the windows open, with the air conditioner turned off. There was no noise.

Very uncomfortable, old pillows. They are very hard. They feel as if you are sleeping on a stone. I woke up every hour. In the morning, my back and neck hurt. After two days of such torment, I came to buy new pillows for my wife and me in the store.

The hotel has a great atmosphere because it is a bit older but seems well maintained. The breakfast was very good. My gf has gluten intolerance which we communicated at the time of booking. They promptly responded and provided her, every morning, with a variety of glutenfree alternatives. This was much appreciated. The staff was friendly and the room was good. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The bathroom was a bit small but not really a problem for us. I did find it to have a faint smell of old cigarette smoke, but my gf didn't notice it.

It was great location if you want to reach beach and Venice both. The room was clean and big enough. At night even with open window it was rather quite. Breakfast was great too. Around there were plenty of restaurants but the. Best food locations you need to book in advance.

We have not been offered safe option (it is free) from the beginning and 50 euros disappeared one day from our bag. Then we were offered a safe.

Friendly greeting. I forgot or misread re tourist tax being cash-only but I found a cashpoint nearby and that was sorted. All pretty fuss-free. Breakfast was basic but nice and relaxed.

Breakfast options were on the sweet and carby side except a small tray of meat and cheese. An option for something simple and hot would have been nice - or access to a microwave somewhere on site. An iron in the room would have been great.

The breakfast is good, enough choices, good service. The hotel is really near the vaporetto station, the one that you take to go to venice, from the hotel it will take like 15mins to reach San Marco, line 1 is really a good choice because it past thru all tha tourist attraction, you need to take the 72hrs pass or the unlimited ride to vaporetto, and you can also use this pass to go to Murano and Burano. The hotel staff are really helpful and nice! The price of the hotel is quite good,

The only downside of not being in the center is its really difficult to leave your bag at the hotel and go back again to lido and take it to go to the airport. Well it was our choice not to leave our bag, cause we dont want to waste our time going back and forth as we have a limited time . Bit every thing in the hotel is good,

Good location, service and breakfast. Clean hotel. Thank you!

Room for two was too small for two weeks stay. Missing a balcony in a room. As an option common balcony would have been also nice to have. Nice outdoor terrace but should add tables and chairs also under the sun instead of a car. The car should park somewhere else, not front of the terrace.

So glad we decided to stay at Villa Edera! Perfect location, just a couple of minutes from the vaporetto, very easy and fast access to Venice. Hotel itself is lovely and quaint. Very clean, close to the main street but nice and quiet. We opted for the room with a terrace and it was perfect! After a busy day sightseeing we relaxed there drinking wine. Breakfast was good with something for everyone. You wake up to the wonderful smell of baked pastries. Staff very friendly, especially Alvise. Thank you so much for all your help! Would definitely stay there again.

A perfect hotel, 5 minutes from Vaporetta stop over to St. Marks Square and 5 minutes to lots of restaurants. Staff always very friendly and helpful. Lovely having good weather so we were able to have breakfast outside. We were very pleased with our choice of Hotel Edera.

Nothing.

A beautiful hotel, a couple of minutes walk from the ferry, and a couple more to the beach. Lots of restaurants and bars around, and the neighborhood has a relaxed resort town feel. We found it a much better base to explore Venice, than stay in Venice. Half the price and people! Great breakfast too.

Nothing everything was perfect.
