Beautiful hideaway in the centre of historical centre of Marsala. Very warm and enthusiastic welcome by our host Celsa. We were delighted to learn Celsa is a highly skilled chef over many years and offered a 5 course tasting menu with wine, celebrating centuries old recipes from Sicilian history. No menu to choose - it was a secret…Believe me - it did not disappoint. Each one was simple but wow was it a treat. A focus on minimal / organic ingredients from a history long forgotten (we were told) and brought back to life by Celsa. Her knowledge of history and culinary interpretation really came through with every course. Everything was homemade or sourced (wine) with an amazing attention to detail. Trust me, you will not be disappointed!!! Each course had a short but captivating explanation of its place in time and location delivered with genuine passion. Breakfast was the same - all organic, and everything home made. Wonderful. The house and bedroom tastefully decorated - so that ticked the boxes too. Location great. Overall the host Celsa makes this a truly memorable experience. Thank you!!!!

The best thing about the property was the host herself. Celsa was full of valuable information about the area and gave us some amazing tips on things to do that. We may never have figured out by ourselves. That alone made the trip wonderful. On top of that she made a beautiful breakfast every morning that was beyond compare: homemade yogurt, homemade cakes, fresh fruit, homemade bread, homemade marmalade, the list goes on and on, and on top of all the beautiful delicious homemade items, it was all organic, due to her high standards. The next thing, is that she offers dinners for guests in her small, two table restaurant within the building. She is a chef by trade and very interested in historical food. She delivers homemade, carefully crafted food from centuries old recipes that she has researched or , derived from things such as poems. truly, a unique experience. Her home and rooms are equipped with everything you need, good showers, good bathrooms, nice big rooms and there's always something tasty to eat or drink at her house.
No negatives to report

This is a charming b&b in the heart of historic Marsala, only a short step from the Cathedral, but in a quiet side street. Our room was simple but spacious and comfortable, and the small b&b (2 rooms only) is in a grand old Marsala house (first floor). The owner (speaks English) will give you lots of advice about what to see in the area, and how to get there. A large breakfast, with lots of traditional Sicilian food is provided, and the owner will also prepare a 5 course dinner tasting menu of traditional Sicilian food with accompanying wines if you wish (reasonable price). Staying here is an experience which you will always remember.

Fantastic host: responsive, accommodative, very much caring. Amazing location, beautiful room, air conditioning, large spacious bathroom, all the perks. Then Celsa also helped me a lot with the planning and getting me a bike. Great breakfast that she makes from scratch and interesting conversations! One of the best stays of the decade for me! Can't recommend it enough to reflect on how great this place and the host is!

Celsa is an exceptional host. It feels like staying in her home. There are so many lovely touches like toiletries and filtered water provided. The breakfast was amazing with everything homemade and Celsa also made us an optional dinner in her little restaurant which was an unforgettable experience. Amazing value for money. Perfect location just off main square in Marsala.
Parking options are not great.

Celsa was a wonderful host!! From the food, to the rooms, to her recommendations for sight seeing… it was exceptional! Celsa is a chef and also has a little restaurant in the B&B where we ate both nights that we stayed. It was a very unique menu based on ancient recipes using all organic/biological ingredients. She went above and beyond to accommodate a vegan diet. She is very flexible in accommodating various diets if you let her know a bit in advance. If we ever find ourselves in the area of Marsala again we will certainly be staying with Celsa again.
