If you are looking for a magical accomodation that suits the magical Matera, this is the place to be. This location exceeded my expectations on every level - everything was just perfect. The rooms were clean and very beautiful. The attention to the details really gives a heart to this place. I loved how everything really feels like out of a really old fairy tale, but with all the benefits of the modern world well integrated. The staff was very, very friendly, always happy to help in person or on the phone/WhatsApp. They responded within minutes and did their best to accomodate our every need. We also received a map and many tips in order to find the best spots of Matera and it came in handy. We were always greeted with a smile and a joke and made feel welcomed. The breakfast was delicious (oh, how i loved the fresh foccacia!) and I can go on with describing the litte terrace, the view, the rounded ceilings, the fresh smelling and lovely magnolia bedsheets - but this would be a long essay after I'd be done. You can see that the people who manage this place and the staff and everyone involved treat it not just like a business, you can sense the affection they put into it - it has charm and personality. I wholeheartedly recommend it, the only regret I have is that i didn't spend more time there. If you want to travel and discover a little gem hidden in Matera, THIS is it.

Excellent location to explore all sides of the city and close to all restuarants and shops. Not to many steps to reach. We used paid parking close by over 3 days and worked well. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Very good communication prior to arrival and arranged walking tour for us. We will definately stay here again if visiting Matera.

Breakfast was good but would prefered more fresh items - cheese meat even if portion controlled.

We really enjoyed staying here. It is very central in the old town, nice view from balcony and our room was spacious. The breakfast was good and there was a lot of food for only two of us. The host was very kind. She came to get us at our parking lot outside the old town (since you cannot bring a car there) and walked all the way to the b&b (about 10min).

Nothing that we didn't like but it is worth mentioning for the host that it would be nice to have a couple of chairs for the balcony and a small table.

it was extremely central while still being a little off the beaten track. A lovely breakfast served in courtyard right outside your bedroom door. very comfortable bed and extremely helpful and friendly staff

it was all great. a little awkward to find as google stops working at the steps but Claudia was available to give more precise directions and stayed on phone with us

so beautifully decorated and so central. it was an amazing room ok a converted Sassi. We were helped principally by Claudia who could not have been friendlier or more helpful. She soeknexcellent English and organised a tour of the Sassi for us in advance. The ladies who helped organise breakfast and clean our room every day were just lovely and welcoming. breakfast was plentiful and the rooms were exceptionally clean and well equipped.

Location is awesome, right in Sasso Barisano. The breakfast is nice too. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Room was smaller than expected, the beds a little too soft. No Wifi in the rooms.

Great location to view Sassi, booked what we thought was a room but turned out to be a suite. Beautifully furnished, with a fantastic bed and an amazing breakfast. Balcony with view over Sassi, and we saw a stone Martin!

Breakfast was great. Location is near Piazza del Sedile which was good. We were met in this square and escorted to the accommodation. The room was small, but this was expected. Any concerns which we experienced were dealt with promptly.

Fabulous location. The staff were so understanding when we were two hours later than we advised us because we walked the wrong way from the bus station.

My husband, forgetting us so hopelessly lost!!
