We had an amazing time in Matera. If you are planning your route in Puglia PLEASE dont skip this beautiful town. Roberto’s place was really nice and comfy, he gave really useful tips and indications to see the village and where to eat, etc. He took care of us and did his best to make our stance there perfect! Higly recommended!!! Ps. Room Aqcua is inside of an ancient water cistern, really interesting experience for a night! If you are planning to spend more time there, I would recommend you trying other of their beautiful rooms to be more confortable.

Roberto the host is amazing, he is very kind and worked hard to address any questions or issues we had during the stay. He speaks limited English but was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make the stay great. Breakfast included is a nice touch. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable with nice features.

The cot initially provided for our 2 year old son was a next to me crib but this was swiftly resolved by Roberto so couldn’t really complain.

The breakfast was great, I'm glad they offer the service because the nearest caffe is quite far! I also really like the room and the location, right in the middle of the sassi. I especially liked the owner who did all that was possible to make us feel at home.

It was all great, we went during a heatwave and the air-conditioning wasn't powerful enough, but I think on all other situations it should have coped well.

The rooms are very nice, clean, neat. The owner Roberto was very helpful and kind, always present from the beginning of the reservation. The facility has a beautiful little terrace from which to view Matera and have aperitifs at sunset lights.

The facility is right in the center of Matera, the suitcases have to be carried by hand for about ten minutes on the cobblestones because cars can't get in. But isn't that the beauty of Matera?

Great location! I loved the cave-like charm and character of the suite. Teresa was very helpful with everything from check-in, to suggesting places to eat and activities to do. I was very comfortable in the room, as well as in the city.

I could not get the television to work. It started out working fine and then stopped displaying channels altogether. Also, the wifi was spotty in the bedroom, but worked perfectly throughout the rest of the suite. However, after repositioning the router, I was able to get better signal while in the bedroom.

The accommodation could not be more central than it is. The room had a particular design and we quite liked the uniqueness of sleeping in a cistern. The breakfast is also very nice, freshly baked pastries, cakes, coffee etc. all in a small buffet.

The check-in time was not available after 19.30, not even with a surcharge as it was said in the info e-mail we received. The staff was n ice enough, but as we got stuck in traffic it was very-very stressful that they weren't a bit more flexible. However the room is underground and cute, the ventilation system makes it quite noisy, so u are underground expecting silence, but there is the unavoidable ventilation noise the whole day and night.

Host very helpful and helped us to orientat to Matera. Room minimalistic and we'll decored, pillows very comfortable. It is situated in the centre of Sassi Di Matera surrounded by bars & restaurant but still quite rooms.

It's not a dislike - but in Matera, be prepared to climb the stairs. Good shoes and using a back back baggage, It's helpful when using the stairs.

Incredible property. The flat was extremely spacious, clean and equipped with everything possible. Decorated well with special touch to design - modern yet in keep with traditional features. Host was extremely welcoming and hospitable, and gave recommendations to visit and to dine. Will be coming back as soon as we can!

Roberto is very welcoming and taking time to explain how to visit the Sassi, the house, your room. The place is very centered, with a nice terrace facing the cathedral. Very comfy and modern the room is perfect. Very comfy mattress. Breakfast is a plus, nice croisant and coffee, juice and yogurt. Perfect.

The location was perfect, the views of this magical city were enough to make me want to extend my stay if I could. Roberto was very attentive and hospitable. The room was comfortable and had all of the amenities that I would expect when traveling. A 10 out of 10!
