Firstly, the staff were delightful! My friends and I fell in love with Guiseppe & Rocco. They were so warm and helpful. We immediately felt right at home. Love that it is a small hotel - very calming amongst the hustle & bustle. Brilliant location. Drinks off the balcony with a view to die for. Rooms beautifully decorated with quality fabrics and the bathroom a treat with the best water pressure.

Matera was experiencing a summer like no other so I Recommend you request for the plastic-coated mattress protector that most hotels have these days, be removed. Made a huge difference.

This was a last minute reservation. We were so happy to find such a high quality room as such a lovely hotel at that last minute for the price that we did. It was lovely. Nice breakfast in the morning. The room and bathroom were very large. Great view from the room as well. The refrigerator was well stocked. All great things for an impulsive getaway.

A very new hotel that was opened in December of 2022, so its still very new. The hotel is nice, clean and in a good location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to travelers looking to stay in the area.

The only thing I didn't like is that we couldn't work out the air conditioning. It seemed to be stuck on heat only and when we opened the doors and windows to cool the room a little it was noisy, especially in the morning when the garbage was be being collected. Also there was no shelving in the shower to put any products on - which was kinda strange. None of this should put anyone off staying at this hotel though.

I stayed in 5 **** hotels in Puglia the last 8 days and Lo Stemma is the best one I stayed in, it is finished to a very high standard and it still has that smell of a new hotel.All the staff were very helpful and polite, there is not one negative thing I can say about it, I will definitely use it again and highly recommend it 💯

The hotel is beautiful and in a perfect location. Staff are very attentive and breakfast is of a high quality.

We loved the hotel and our room was beautiful. The only thing that could improve it would be a little more atmosphere. Maybe offer guests to congregate early evening by offering drinks/ antipasti?

Large room, great comfortable bed, very clean, nice linen. Smallish bathroom. Very helpful staff. Beautiful place on terrace for breakfast looking over Matera. 5mins walk to the town, restaurants & cafes. Strong wifi. Good breakfast included

Room look across a alley to a wall, so room dark. Annoying every time you left having to take out key card, so nothing charged while gone. And AC off so return to a hot room.

Exceptional decor and location. Small boutique style hotel, contemporary decoration, beautiful little balcony with a gorgeous view.

All was excellent - the next time we will request a window with a view. A very minor issue !

Beautiful property in a perfect location. Absolutely delightful stay and cannot recommend this place enough. Only opened recently and it creates a 9 room (I think) boutique lodging experience in the middle of the upper part of the very beautiful old town. Fantastic views of the ancient old town lit up at night. Wonderful!!

AMAZING, the hotel is relatively new, AMAZING STAFF comfortable beds, great bathroom. Totally exceeded our expectations.

More storage in room snd hanging hook for towels in bathroom..there was only one Breakfast area quite cramped
