We chose this hotel to be within walking distance to a tournament at Pala Badminton and it was perfect! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and spoke English. We arrived late on a dark and wet night in Winter and didn’t expect to find anywhere open for food at 10:45pm. However, the receptionist recommended a pizzeria close by which was still buzzing with guests, had excellent service and was really cheap. What a pleasant surprise! The following night we ate in the CARNE restaurant right next door to the hotel, which is an upmarket Brazilian-Argentinian steakhouse. The food and service were excellent and the prices very reasonable. We didn’t have a reservation and turned up completely underdressed for such an exquisite restaurant, but got a table right away and had a fabulous meal. Another pleasant surprise! The hotel is right beside a metro stop which brings you to the Milan dome and other tourist sites within 15 mins. After reading many reviews about hotels in Milan, I had been a bit anxious about noise. However, I am delighted to report that I had 2 great nights sleep and was not bothered by any noise whatsoever. I had asked for a quiet room and we were put on the third floor away from the lift and the double-glazing windows kept the traffic noise at a minimum. We will come again!

The breakfast was fine for the price but could be better. It wouldn’t stop us coming back though.

1) The staff were extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful. I'd like to mention a few names: Matteo, Flavio and Ivan at the reception :) Giovanna & Karen at the restaurant :) 2) The room was large and the large windows let in plenty of natural light. 3) Large comortable bed(s). 4) The bedside lamps were excellent.

Although the price was consistent with its 4* rating, I would've been more satisfied if it were 15%-20% less.

Hotel is in a quiet area, located right next to the metro stop, so getting around is easy. Staff is really nice and helpful, our room was ready few hours earlier so we could check in by the time we wanted to drop our luggage. They were also helpful with directions. Rooms as advertised, equipped with TV/AC/WiFi/fridge. Very good value for money.

Nothing really, if I had to come up with something I guess I'd go with elevator being a bit small and cramped.

The staff, particularly the receptionist Riccardo, is extremely friendly. He helped me change my room when I asked because the previous room was too hot and I had noisy neighbors. Additionally, he upgraded me to a larger room. The room and bathroom were clean, and the bed was super comfortable. The metro station is very close, making it easy to reach the city center by metro.

As a FOUR STAR , they can add some fresh Omelets with herbs too in breakfasts, and can add at least one fresh made vegetarian stuff too. It will be additional attraction if they provide welcome and evening refreshments for their clients, who come to attend FAIRS and Conferences. This will help them to retain regular clients.

LOCATION, STAFF & CLEANLINESS

Good location, airport shuttle stops right across the road, same is the metro station (red and purple lines). 15-20 minutes by metro to Duomo. Located in relatively quiet neighborhood. Our room (classic double) was spacious, everything worked, shower pressure is good, AC is quiet. There was a kettle and some tea bags and 3in1 coffee in the room. Furniture is a bit old but fine, not creaking. Wifi worked fine. Regular 3star, nothing special, but not bad at all.

Price seemed a bit high, but since we booked in a last minute, there was no many options left. There were only italian tv channels. But good wifi and internet speed compensated it.

The breakfast was very good. The room was big and comfortable, the bathroom was very clean and good. Excellent hotel.

If you’re coming in the summer the air condition barely cools the room. You can sleep untucked but it doesn’t get cool at all.

The breakfast at Hotel Oro Blu exceeded my expectations, truly a 5-star standard experience despite the hotel's size. The room was clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Thanks to everyone for a wonderful stay!
